Lively (actually noisy) environment. Very good service...friendly, lots of explanations and suggestions. Excellent quality food, speedy and attentive service. However, we were seated in a dim corner next to wine rack and wine reservations Storage...which was being accessed every few minutes by different servers. And, my husband wear hearing Ids and could not hear anything I was saying. A lip reading experiential dinner. We probably won’t return for those two reasons only....dim corner and noise level.
Birthday. Amazing service and experience, would definitely recommend to friends and family!
Birthday card, birthday cake and anniversary cake was the big bonus. The food is amazing too.
All of the expectations were met! Great dinner!
Pastas and roasted chicken are amazing.
Everything is great here. If you want to try something very special, ask for the bistecca - but do it ahead of time as they often run out!
Savio Volpe never disappoints! Gave the family style chefs menu a try this time and it definitely was worth the $60pp. They were able to incorporate the one dish we really wanted to try but also brought out a few I would not have thought of ordering (and they were amazing)! Can't wait to be back.
The food and experience is always outstanding which is why this is my favourite restaurant. I highly recommend it to friends all the time.
Absolutely incredible every time! Food and service is beyond amazing 👌🏽
$60 chef's choice wth more good then we could manage, leftovers to take home. Great food, quiet enough for great conversation too.
Loved everything! Great service.. food.. ambiance.. can’t wait to come back.
Really kind personnel and really tasty food. We recommennd for special occasions as birthdays.

Odd restaurant - No tea. No lime for gin. They sat people (twice) ahead of us who came in after we arrived. We were seated at a terrible table by the door where people were coming in and waiting. Service was not frequent enough. The food was fantastic - we shared (family style) chicken, potatoes and carrots. Dessert was incredible - tiramissou ‘sundae’. Wine was just too expensive. Period.
Mom’s birthday! The restaurant had hand-written her a card and placed it on the table waiting for our arrival!
Food and drink were delicious, the waiter recommended daily specials and they were so good. Thank you!!
Had the chef's menu, $60pp was totally worth it, and had the most incredible server which made our experience even better.
Excellent meal and service.
Savio is my ABSOLUTE favourite restaurant. Halibut was outstanding & pasta is alway amazing. This time, the restaurant was VERY loud- music playing & patrons all talking loudly over top of the music. We sat in a booth, which is quite crowded & not ideal for 6 people. Service was fantastic.
This was my third time at Savio and I think it was the best time yet. We opted to order a la carte as the family style set menu can be hit or miss (sorry!). The gnocchi on its own deserves a f*cking medal. Portions are small so if you're an endless pit like I am, order one or two more dishes than you think you'll need. The prosciutto is always a delight, and you've never had garlic bread like this. The service is inexplicably great, as the ambiance is romantic without being pretentious. Seriously can't decide my favourite between here and Pepino (the sister restaurant of Savio).
First time at Savio.
We enjoyed it a lot. Thank you
Food was delicious and service attentive. Loved it!
My wife and I went here for fourth anniversary. The waiter Stefano was one of the better waiters I’ve ever had, he walked us through the menu paired wines with our dinner and made us feel at home. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Vancouver
Awesome food - we each paid $60 for a family style five course meal. Each dish was delicious and filling! Will definitely be back here again!
Food sucks sorry. Been to Italy 3x
Food was excellent
Best restaurant in town. Service & food and exemplary.
Marlo’s service is impeccable and the food is outstanding. :)
Never disappointed even a year later they are still giving a high standard of dishes and service. The kale salad is still as good as ever, the pasta, entrees and desserts amazing! So good would highly recommend for date night or even small group. The only thing I didn't like was the noisy couple beside us, if you want privacy ask for the booths. Keep up the great job Savio Volpe!
The staff are so accommodating. They really try to make your experience memorable. The food itself tastes amazing and the environment is very comfortable.
Everything was awesome! Highly recommend! Great environment, food, drinks, and service.
Went for a birthday celebration, upon arrival a nice card was on our table. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and extremely well attended to. The service all evening was impeccable. Food was mainly excellent although we felt two of the dishes were on the small side for the price. We will definitely go back to try other dishes.
Food was phenomenal
Excellent food and service!!!
Enjoyed the evening but the recipes lack focus, with less Italian, or even Mediterranean, but almost middle eastern at times in spice and delivery. Service was pleasant if unremarkable. I was disappointed about not having my reservation request for a quieter corner table met, with the opposite, a central table with people in immediate proximity.
Food was delicious. The food was not dressed up with affectations, it was just rich classic flavours done very well. The beet salad and the angelotti were faultless. My only issue was that the cocktail menu was quite limited, so plan to enjoy some wine or beer with your meal instead.
Please lower your music. It is too loud. I couldn't hear what the other person was saying.
Our group of six elected to dine family style. Highly recommend it for a group. Great value for the money, delicious and abundant food array. Definitely going back again!
Great menu. Lots of creative options.
Not the greatest place for those with dietary restrictions. About 60% of the menu will be off-limits or require a lot of substitutions.
Quite pricey considering the portion size. Sharing is good but it’s easy to run up a $300 bill with appetizers, mains, and maybe a drink or two per person.
It is entirely possible that we ordered the best things on the menu because we absolutely loved our meal. First time going and will definitely return!
We debated doing the tasting menu but ultimately ordered individual dishes:
White anchovies with citrus — we’d fallen in love with anchovies in lemon when we were in Italy last year so were hoping this version would be as good. I assumed “citrus” meant lemon so was surprised to see slices of different citrus fruits (orange, grapefruit, blood orange) but it was fabulous!!
Burrata, sunchoke, potato, ‘nduja — the burrata was not the star of this dish as you might expect; the sunchoke & potato combo was crazy delicious!
Roasted kohlrabi, fermented cabbage, apple, tonnato — really excited to try this cos i’ve only had raw kohlrabi before, and it did not disappoint! Very unusual but soooo tasty!
Ravioli pasta stuffed with lamb & polenta — not the actual title of the dish, but man! Really really good!!
meatballs — we always order meatballs in Italian restaurants and these ones were fantastic.
Cannoli — I’ll be honest and admit, i’ve never had good cannoli, yet it’s on my list of must-order foods. Therefore while it’s easy to say this one was truly the best one i’ve tasted, it really was super good.
All in all, a favourite dining experience for sure! Also, shout out to Esther, our fabulous server!!
