Fabulous as always!!!!
Great food...great service
Great service, delicious food!
Friendly and efficient staff serving delicious food ! A wonderful few hours spent here.
Was a Great night with incredible service, first time there and felt like a 20 year regular. Sal made us feel like we were long time friends, have not had a first time dining experience that in a long time. Looking forward to many more great nights at Paese
Not the friendliest and the food was pretty lacklustre. Restaurant itself was very cute
Always a reliable place to dine with friends for a casual and pleasant evrning
Paese is a great neighbourhood restaurant . The staff are friendly and very professional. They always make my kids feel important and welcome. The food was delicious .
Consistently delicious and nourishing....one of my favourite go-to places.
Excellent service, friendly and professional
Loved our waiter, friendly attentive service. The food was outstanding!! I’d go back time and time again.
They really go above and beyond to make you feel special :)
Reliable and affordable. Service was excellent. Menu is somewhat limited but the restaurant always serves good meals
Vegan pasta was outstanding
We had been there before. This time we took friends and we all had a lovely evening. Service as always was exceptional.
The food was okay but not excellent. It was over priced.
We had a delightful dinner and look forward to visiting again.
It is a yearly tradition during my trade show to have dinner here and the waitress always recognizes us! Feels like home!
This restaurant used to be one of my parents’ favoutites. My mom passed away in the summer. On Saturday, my dad moves into a retirement home. So we went out to celebrate. Food was excellent. Our only issue was that there were no vegetables with them entree. If these were to be ordered from the regular menu as opposed to the winterlicious menu, then the waiter should have asked us if we would like vegetables and if so, tell us there would be a surcharge. No mention was made so it was quite a shock to see salmon sitting on a plate by itself etc.... other than that it was good.
This place is a hidden gem! My girlfriend, mom and I came here for my birthday and Nick was very attentive! My girlfriend asked for non-alcoholic beer and at first Nick advised us they didn’t have any but he went the extr mike and found a beer that was. My girlfriend was happy!
They tried the winterlicous meal and I had the fish of the day as well as the polenta fries. We tried everything from one another’s plates and it was delicious. My fish was so moist and succulent. The fries had a perfect crunch to them and the meat and seafood dishes I tried from the other plates were delicious and perfectly cooked.
Dessert was alright. I preferred the apple tart my mom had. My gf ordered tiramisu which was good. I ordered the cannoli. I wasn’t too impressed because I was hoping my cannoli would just have ricotta filling but it was a pistachio and chocolate filling. Didn’t really feel like an authentic cannoli. Regardless I would definitely visit this place again! Thanks for a great experience
This is the third time that our group has returned to Paese for winterliscious. We particularly enjoy the quiet environment which facilitates our conversation. The food is well proportioned and prepared with good variety and the service is excellent. The location is ideal in the north end with good parking.
I booked a reservation through OpenTable for this restaurant for 2:30 pm. at 2 p.m before I left to go to the restaurant OpenTable sent me an email asking if I enjoyed my experience at the restaurant and thanked me for dining there. Odd. So I called the restaurant and they said I had no reservation and that the kitchen was closing. This ruined my friend’s birthday as I had booked the reservation for that occasion. Really disappointing. I shouldn’t have had to compromise my friend’s birthday for an error that I didn’t make.
Delicious food and super accommodating to dietary restrictions- great service and great ambience.
Great food and ambiance. A great place to eat. Excellent service.
Food was good? But all side dishes are extra. It is overpriced
This dining experience was very disappointing. The menu on OpenTable is not the same menu in the restaurant. Furthermore, we waited over an hour for our main dishes, which were not worth the value. We ordered pizza, pasta and chicken dishes. The portions were very small, and the toppings on the pizza were minimal. Additionally, the pizza was not flavored at all. Maybe is was partly due to the lack of toppings, but the sauce was also bland. Pasta had good flavor, portion was so small we left hungry. Chicken dish was good flavor, only dish with a credible portion size. We were originally going to stay for dessert, but after the long wait, we didn't think it would come in a reasonable amount of time. It was probably small and overpriced too. Trying to pay was another wait, one payment machine for the entire restaurant is a joke. Our server was very good at his job, another one was coughing all over his hands however. Overall, what started out as a nice family dinner, turned into an un-enjoyable meal that could have been made at home. With the million restaurant choices within the same area, saw no reason to ever return or recommend. Overpriced for what you receive. We would not recommend.
The food is outstanding ....try the mushroom pasta!!!
Have eaten at Paese many times. This was the first time the food disappointed. I felt the octopus was over grilled and tasted burnt. My wife thought it was OK. But I also thought the broccolini was burnt. Everyone seemed to be ok with the other dishes. Polenta chips were very good. Veal liver was ok. Service, as usual, was very good - although we did have to ask for wine top ups.
Our waitress was incredible. Sabine is the best. Her attention to filling up our glasses and making sure we were being looked after us always top notch. The food isn’t as good as it has been in the past. It wasn’t horrible by any means but just not like it use to be.
We enjoyed our evening at Paese. Our server was terrific, just the right balance between being friendly and yet not intrusive. The food was a bit expensive, but the quality was very good. I would prefer that at least one side is included with the main courses. Also, I found the wine by the glass expensive - $14 for 5 oz. That's higher than we've had at restaurants of similar quality. I had mentioned in my reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary but it seems to have been overlooked. I would come back, as the overall experience was positive and the quality of the food is always consistently good.
End of year party
1 menu and a wine list for 5 people
Had to ask for menus
Poor explanation of specials
All side dishes are add ons
Had to send a steak back twice.
My guest decided not to bother eating the steak after the second time
Felt embarrassed and disappointed
Will book elsewhere next year
Solid Italian restaurant. Food and service on the mark. Fresh and clean feeling dining room. Ambiance is good for either a date, business lunch or family dinner. Location is very good with parking in front. Prices are reasonable and a surprisingly extensive wine list. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed!!
Outstanding mushroom pasta
I celebrated my birthday last year here twice and really enjoyed it so I booked it again to celebrate with my friends for this year. I was disappointed on all areas. The menu has changed so all mains no longer come with sides and the presentation of the food now looks bare and not boring. Other items like the polenta fries are now hard chips. I can get those in a bag. Even the service lacked attention. I will not return.
Good food but portions have shrunk and prices have gotten higher.
Wonderful food and staff as always! I love going back again and again.
Very good food. Very pricey. Noisy. My family had problems hearing each other across a table. We were only 4.
Poor value. Portions are skimpy and entrees are served without side dishes which are priced separately. The liver dish was ordered medium rare, but came too well done. Wine list has very few moderately priced wines. However, the restaurant was crowded, so they must be doing something right.
