A group of ladies had Lunch at Paese the other day. We were able to talk to each other and hear each other. This restaurant is not noisy. There were nice groups of people talking not yelling. And probably enjoying the delicious food. Our lunch was very good and enjoyable.
Their catering arm is excellent. They catered my Granddaughter's Wedding with Kudos all around.

The ambience, service and food were all very good. The menu had lots of selection and there were many specials to pick from. I would come back and recommend this gem of a place.

Returned for the first time in a couple of years. Paese is as good as I remember! Perfectly grilled octopus as a starter (my wife had the broccoli and carrot soup special) with a pair of excellent fish dishes (branzino and red snapper). Just fabulous! Service was outstanding.

Good options on the menu but lacked a standard pasta dish. So one of us made our own and it turned out great - exacly what she wanted. I appreciate a restaurant that has that flexibility.

I was somewhat disappointed. Previous reviews said that the staff was excellent at recognizing soecial occasions. I informed the staff ahead of time. When it came to,dessert, the server brought one of the desserts we had ordered and put a candle on the side. Certainly was nothing special.
The appetizers were good. My pizza was mediocre.

Paese remains an amazing neighborhood gem. After so many years the food and service remain fantastic and the decor is current. When I lived locally I ate here in a regular basis and always tried their interesting specials. It is now a drive for me to visit but recently had an outstanding meal while catching up with friends. Don't know why I stopped going!! One of the best wine lists you can find.

I've been here many times over the years, but I'm finding the price keeps getting higher. My daughter and I had dinner recently (no alcohol or appetizers and we split dessert) and the total bill was $90.00

Great dinner for five. The 21 Ingredient and Caesar Salads a hit, three pizza choices tasty and pasta choice delicious (not overly seasoned to over power the taste of the fresh ingredients). Service very attentive, not rushed. Overall great experience and will be back. Picky eater enjoyed the pizza "best pizza in North York so far'. Would definitely recommend. Parking is limited though.

This is the second time my girlfriend and I have gone to Paese. This time we went for Valentine's day. It was busy with people lined up out the door, but fortunately, I had made my reservation well in advance of the day. I've previously written a review about the restaurant so I'm not going to repeat what I said other than I really like this restaurant. The food is good. The service is excellent. And it's just a 10 minute drive from my home. You can't ask for much more than that from your local eatery.

We live in North York and wanted to go out for dinner. We went through Opentable's list looking for an Italian restaurant and landed on Paese as a random pick. We got lucky. This was a very nice restaurant with a good selection of dishes in a quiet setting. My girlfriend had the Ceasar salad and the carbonara. I had the deep fried polenta and the spinach and mushroom pasta. All the dishes were very tasty. The only complaint we had was the Ceasar wasn't worthy of being called a signature dish as others have stated. It was good but not the best we have had. We ended the meal with cookies, gelato and coffee. If a measure of a restaurant is whether you would go back, I would say this restaurant gets a definite yes.
