Sat in patio areas. Amazing atmosphere. Staff is extremely efficient. Waitress was very polite and appreciated her service. Well done as always Parlor!
This place is a great restaurant. It has a unique ambiance with a smooth atmosphere. It’s definitely a go to spot for pizza and beer.
Do-Workers cane to visit Chicago over the weekend. Perfect place for food/drinks & convo.
Waited an hour to put our order for food in. Took 20 minutes to get a drink. We were a large group but there were plenty of staff and the restaurant was not that crowded.
Food came spicer than advertised. Service was slow.
Desserts were delicious. Vibrant ambiance and cool seats. The only thing negative was that our booth had very little lighting. Couldn’t even read the menu. But other than that, everything else was good.
This place had a cool vibe and we really enjoyed the food. Nachos were super yum, pizza was great and the tacolato was outstanding! Expos and other staff were very attentive - our waters were constantly being refilled and our table quickly cleared which was awesome. Our waitress disappeared a few times when we wanted to order more and get the check (happens, no biggie) but otherwise the experience was terrific and we'll absolutely be back. We had a great time!
Parlor Pizza Bar is pretty chill. The pizza is delicious, and even the punch bowl was yummy! Sit outside on a beautiful day! Just make sure the majority of your party is there, or they won't seat you.
Roxanna and Stephanie were really great, I could not say enough about how they treated us
I’m not sure why I could not have been seated when I arrived. The restaurant was 20% empty and I had a party of 8, my table was ready while the balance of the party was just arriving to Ogilvie Station and were to arrive in 15 minutes. The hostess Arin would not seat me, Eric pestered me and followed me around the empty restaurant not allowing me to sit momentarily at any table besides the bar. Roxanna had brought me a lemonade and was kind enough to service me. It was really disappointing how a customer would be treated in a very empty restaurant. Our bill was nearly $500 with a tip but Eric and Arin we very rude and not accommodating.
Luckily Sagar and Stephanie made our experience and family celebration something to remember. Customer service is important, when the restaurant is full I can understand the way they handled the situation, but that was not the case. Managing the grey area and accommodating the customer is critical to return business....service
The environment and food were wonderful! So perfect for a group dinner, especially a celebration. However, as usual, the server wasn't polite. I have found that the servers generally aren't very friendly, and a bit rude to be honest, at both the Wicker and West Loop locations. Always a bummer considering the food is so great!
Great Patio! I made reservations and called 30 minutes prior to see if they had open seating for us outside. I was told they couldn't promise anything but currently there were tables available. When my party of 10 arrived there was a table set up and ready for us outside. I greatly appreciated that they took my request into consideration and prepared a large table for my group prior to us arriving.
We had a great time and the pizza was outstanding!
The food was a amazing but the server seemed to rush us out. It was very busy but we we were looking to eat drink and enjoy the night and she brought the check and kept asking about cashing out. It just rushed the experience.
I go to Parlor Pizza all of the time and I usually have a very positive experience. Unfortunately, I have a few gripes about my last visit. First, we were hoping to sit outside, but even with a reservation, it was an hour wait, so we had to sit inside. Second, because our reservation stated that we would be 4 adults and 4 kids, they crammed us into a booth for 6. It was extremely uncomfortable and difficult to function. I told the manager that they should never try to put 8 people at that table again, and he rudely responded, "OK." Finally, we asked if we could get the Abe Froman Fave with only sausage on half of the pizza, and they said they wouldn't do that. It was all or nothing. Despite all of this, I'll still go back. I live two blocks away and love the food, drinks and atmosphere here.
Pizza is absolutely delicious and a nice contrast to Chicago deep dish or the typical thin cracker like crust you find at most places. The salad was made from the freshest ingredients. Neat atmosphere- just need to return for dinner/cocktails on the rooftop and check it out.
I made a reservation via Open Table to sit outside, but when I arrived I received the go-around from the indoor hostess to speak with the outdoor hostess, just to find my reservation was only guaranteed for indoor. It would have been more helpful in the reservation process, if there was a notice for this. Additionally, I found the service to be a bit overwhelming. The server asked us for our order immediately after we were seated and checked if our food was ok immediately after we had just received the food. It seems like her timing could have been a bit more relaxed, but it was a full restaurant, at least she was checking on us. Other staff would stop by and interrupt our table to remove our napkin paper.
I go there all the time and had a horrible experience due to a non customer oriented manager. He not only made us feel uncomfortable because we didn’t want to sit in the heat, but he made us feel unwelcome.
Everything was great! The service was excellent and the pizza was delicious! We had the mozzarella sticks and Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer, they were awesome.
We will be back again for sure!
Emiliana was a great server!
First waitress was excellent and then we had to move inside of the rain and the second waitress was not friendly at all...kinda ruined our whole vibe
Service was great! Always a fun time.
This is one of my go to spots, but I was super disappointed with the service this past week. Our waitress could not fulfill our simple requests. messed up our drinks, forgot to put in half of our orders, and tried to charge us for items we did not order at the end. I will probably go back, but this definitely put a bad taste in my mouth.
Crazy bread starter is the best! If you are into Bloody Marys, Parlor and Bub City are a couple of the best places in Chicago
Took out of town friends here and they loved it. Didn't want deep dish and this made for a great alternative for pizza. Appetizers and dessert menu both offered a nice variety. High energy with good service. All around fun time with good food.
Fun atmosphere. Have been here multiple times. The pizza is good. Dessert tacos are amazing. Service was not great this time. Took almost two hours for our entire meal. We did have a large group but ordered quickly and were decisive. Would definitely return.
I have been to Parlor a few times and regret it every time. The service is TERRIBLE, which is a shame because the drink menu is great and so is the dessert. We live down the street and avoid this place because of the service, despite having a great outdoor space and fun atmosphere.
I got an email as soon as I got to my reservation about not being at my reservation. Which was weird!
Good vibe and the pizza always hits the spot. Can't beat hanging on the roof in the summer.
The atmosphere is super! We used OPEN TABLE to get a reservation and it was PERFECT! Food was excellent, and drinks were great too! The beer COULD be COLDER!!! Overall a really nice spot to grab a bite and enjoy the cool décor and style of the place. VERY...VERY... clean as well!
We will MOST DEFINITELY return!!
Parlor Pizza has an energetic atmosphere where many young adults frequent. The food was very good. I only gave this restaurant three stars for overall experience because of my experience with the hostesses. I made a reservation to meet a friend after work at 7pm on a Wednesday night. I arrived 30 minutes early. The restaurant was very busy, but I wanted to let them know I was there so that if I could be seated early I could. One hostess looked me up and down and gave me a dirty look. I was coming from work so I was not dress down. Then instead of telling me they could not seat me until my friend arrived, they just told me to wait to the side. When my friend arrived at 7, I came back up to the hostesses to tell them our party was complete and they said I should see another hostess if I wanted to sit outside and the wait would be at least 45 minutes! I had a reservation. They could have told me to go to another hostess 30 min ago if I wanted to sit outside. So I said we could dine indoors. They had us wait more to see if they had anything available despite that I did have a reservation for 7pm and had been waiting. I would have liked to go to the bar, but I didn't feel like I could. I spoke with a few people and this seems like waiting after a reservation time is normal and they do give you look of judgments if for some reason they do not like what you are wearing.
Food was good just service could have been better since we were there when only less then 1/4 of the restaurant was full.
I would like to thank the manager for making my fiancés 39 1/2 birthday special. He was able to make space for my party on the roof deck during a busy time. My fiancé and I truly would like to thank him for accommodating us. We also like to give thanks to our waitress, she was fabulous and we also love her unique name. Thank you once again.
Cynthia & James
I came with my friends to celebrate my birthday this past weekend. We had a great time. Thank you!
Excellent service & food! Love this place
Used to love coming here for the food and atmosphere. Food last night seemed off from my last experiences. Only drinks for me next time.
Food and drinks were excellent, and not too expensive for downtown prices. Service was okay- it was busy so we did have to wait a while for food and drinks, and drinks seemed to have gotten forgotten about a couple times. Overall not bad though.
We were celebrating a going away dinner for a friend. From the moment of checking the hostess was friendly and greeted us warmly even though it was insanely busy. I had requested a table as close to the window as possible since the weather nice and she accommodated our request with a table that was half in and half out. It was perfect!!!
Our service was great during dinner and as I observed how busy the restaurant was the entire staff from front of house to back of house were all in a unified sequence. I was amazed that it was all under control and that everything was run so smoothly and effectively.
The food was delicious, ambiance of the patio is great when weather permits and would recommend for small or large groups. Can be casual of dressed up everyone was a little bit of both w attire.
Enjoyed lunch here with friends. We had 2 infants in our party, who were well-received despite the bar scene. Only disappointment was the push we felt to leave. Our server was great but appeared eager to flip the table, and the bussers seemed to be at our table every 5 minutes grabbing whatever we didn't need anymore. One busser stood next to my husband and watched my husband box his food so he could take the plate. It felt awkward. We didn't feel invited to linger and chat after we paid, it was clear they wanted us out.
we went here to start the night to my brother's bachelor party. the place is great. cool vibe and the food is beyond delicious. our server was great. good beer/drink selection, in a good area with a lot close by. would highly recommend even if for a night with friends.
