Patria Ratings and Reviews
Delicious. The Piella is reall amazing. First time there, and I'll be back.
Paella is a must! Great service!
Excellent meal, wine and service!! Thank you! We had a great time and will definitely go back.
Good food with very pleasant service and great ambiance. bigger round tables and semi-private upstairs section available for groups.
Always enjoy the food and ambience. One of my favourite places in Toronto!
Excellent food. Great table at the corner near the door. Not so noisy. Delicios food great wine
Love this place so much. This is my fourth time back in as many weeks. Can't get enough of the amazing food and warm, excellent service.
Overpriced, not worth the value and hype
Excellent helpful staff, good quality food and fun place to be.
it was so good, food was incredible
We enjoyed our dinner so much .The restaurant was beautifully decorated and lit, our waiter was very attentive and helpful .Our food was delicious too.We will definitely go again
Very nice restaurant. Great bar and atmosphere. Felt like we were back in Barcelona. Food was excellent...great wine selection. Definitely a must go back to spot.
Excellent experience and exquisite food.
Lovely experience at Patria, though there was a bit of a mix up with our Paella. The Paella dishes can take some time, but are completely worth it.
Order plenty of tapas and small plates! Each bite was decadent.
Food was tasty but there was very little of it. The THREE of us tried our best to pretend the following sated us:
At first I thought the waiter was up-selling us. He spent an inordinate amount of time trying to convince us that a certain number of menu items would be necessary for all three of us to be satisfied. His efforts were understood once our food arrived.
We ordered two salads - in 95% of Toronto restaurants these would be small salads
pork dish ($42) - two ounces of very thinly sliced pork in red pepper jelly sauce. We each enjoyed 2.5 pieces of pork the size of a quarter.
large paella - some one grew up in Lilliput or some other land of very small people as Patria has a very distorted sense of the word Large. Very tasty - the dish was properly cooked and well seasoned - there needed to be more in the skillet.
Drinks: a pitcher of white wine Sangria (very sweet) ...pitcher was all ice...waiter struggled to get three drinks poured.
Two glasses of red wine - as Sangria was too sweet for Theresa.
I switched out to a pint of lager.
Steph ordered the Churros for dessert. We all had a laugh as this was the only dish of the night that was a standard portion. Sadly the didn't get this one right as the churros were heavy and lacked the crisp texture that it should have.
We three love good food and are willing pay to have the best. Patria stretches the boundaries of frugality to their detriment. Can not recommend Patria as we all went away hungry.
This was our third Christmas visit to Patria. We always leave the menu choices up to our server and are never disappointed. Be sure to try the bacon-wrapped dates! The restaurant tends to be bit noisy, but the food and service are always wonderful.
We liked our meal, but thought some of the appetizers were small and not good value. Our waiter was excellent, he recommended 3 separate dishes per person to maximize the sharing experience. The restaurant was not categorized as expensive, but it was! Good meal though.
Went for my girlfriends birthday and we loved our experience dining at Patria. The service was friendly. Our coats were taken before we sat at the table and we were well attended by our server.
Paella was flavorful and the highlight of our meal. Wine selection was great but we ordered a jug of sangria which was well put together. We also had the churro for dessert were a larger portion than we thought we were going to get and they were kind enough to write "Happy Birthday" and provide a candle on the plate. The table next to us was celebrating an anniversary and they received the same treatment with their order of churros.
Great place for a special occasion. Keep in mind it's not necessarily a good place to save money while dining. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a memorable evening without having to worry about the restaurant food and service.
All of their food is delicious. However, I ordered the Paella for the second time and one of the oyster shells had broken so I had multiple bites in which I was chewing on an incredibly hard shell.
Great food but very loud and noisy environment - we left early because we cannot really talk to each other ...
We followed mostly the recommendations from out server and the food was delicious! Meatballs were juicy and not too spicy, croquettes were soft and fluffy, paella was very tasty, and the churros were a hit with everyone. Service was attentive but not too intrusive.
We went for our daughters 25th birthday dinner,
A party of 6. She had been there before for brunch and loved it so it was the only place she wanted to go. The service was fabulous and so was the food!
We had a great selection of tapas than we split the rib eye steak - the Pork AND had 2 paella’s the duck and the mushroom.
It’s very hard to pick a fave item but the stuffed dates are definitely worth ordering extra of. We had the virgin sangria for the non drinkers in the group which I recommend. The kitchen staff were lovely when I asked to take a picture of the wood fired oven , you can tell what pride they take in their work. I’m already planning my next visit
You will only be disappointed by having to choose your meal. Exceptional food, and the waiters competed to top up our bottomless mimosas 😊
The food and Ambiance were really good. Their wine list was extensive but they could do with adding one or two more bottles around the $60 mark.
we picked Patria for the Spanish flair and the modern feel mixed together. I found it a bit pricey as far as value goes. They were out of the vintage year I picked for the wine and had to pay up for an older vintage. The second bottle we picked they were also out of, the paellas did not have much in them and at the price you pay you expect a bit more. On the plus side, the service was good, the ambience worth the location and the lemon dessert is certainly to recommend as was the jambon and the cheeses. I am glad I used open table for a reservation, we had a good table.
Food and service was great...but way too expensive for what you get. 2 people, 4 drinks (and the low end price point). A small paella and 3 small aps....for 180? Special occasions only.
One of the best meals I have had. Top 5 for me. All was amazing and you need to try the ox tail stuffed peppers, mind blowing.
Very disappointing. I had made our reservation weeks in advance and when we arrived they took us to one of the miniscule round tables by the windows which we literally could not sit at. There were people at the tables on either side and we couldn't get the chairs out far enough to even sit down. When we asked for a different table the hostesses seemed put out. The food comes across as mass-produced and isn't as tasty as we were led to believe it would be. Then to top it off the fire alarm went off midway through our meal and it was still going when we left. Staff never did or said anything about it other than "it happens all the time" when we asked our server about it. We love food and are willing to shell out for it. Patria is definitely off the list and we're letting others know as well. Not sure how it's getting top ratings.
Good food - very nice decor
A beautiful venue. Expectations were high given the pricing but found that portions were extremely small.
Went there for brunch while visiting in Toronto. Such a delicious menu and servers are very knowledgeable! Can't recommend enough their version of eggs Benedict with asparagus and manchengo foam. Can't wait to go back someday!!
Quality of food is very good, but the portion is very small even for girls
Good atmosphere and service
Food was really not that great but the drinks and service made up for it.
Introduced two colleagues to Patria, as always food was excellent and service superb. Ever dish was better then the one before. A lovely and memorable evening!
My second visit and food was amazing as ususal. Positive energy vibe and Spanish wine :)
I was choosing restaurant for a special occasion-my birthday and Patria was an actual win-good value, great food and amazing interior (per pictures and review read). It was my first time here, I've reserved a table for 2 via opentable, it was an option for special occasion and requested seating (couch set, near those majestic portraits). When I've showed up at Patria for my reservation, it was pretty empty, but the hostess showed me our tiny table near the kitchen and when I mentioned it's my birthday and I would like a nice table, she replied that she has full reservation for today's evening and I can not be seated where I wanted. Anyway, I've got what I wanted but had this taste of "unprofessionalism"-not sure if I'll come back, but the food was good (tapas plates), our waiter was nice and did a brief explanation for the menu selection
Try the patatas bravas and the meatballs Patria- So good!!
This was a really disappointing dining experience. I brought colleagues from California here wanting to impress them. The disappointment started with the water - when a silverfish was in the water. The bartender was horrified but didn't really do anything about it other than replace the water. The food was good but not great and the service was spotty and not consistent. At one point a server came to our table and offered to serve the Paella to us and left before she even started. She never came back. And for 4 people where 2 of the people weren't drinking the meal came to over $450. I won't be going back or recommending the restaurant.
Awesome waiter! And good food!
