I can neither recommend, nor give a bad review. I found the meal to be just ok. I might come back again, but it probably would be a long time.
Our favourite restaurant in town. Food is always good as well as the service.
Fabulous service, food and ambiance at Peasant Cookery. Would highly recommend!
We had a lovely night out with a varied menu that was easy. to choose from. The food was perfect.
I had made a reservation Friday evening and it was a friend as well as my own first time at the restaurant and it won’t be our last. The service was great and the food was incredible, I am disappointed that I had not tried Peasant Cookery before , but very happy I did and will continue to support !
Always a great experience at Peasant Cookery. The food is always outstanding and the service was great n
A most favourite place to dine and take visitors from out of town.
Great tasting food and the presentation is just beautiful!
Great food. New menu. Had the lamb which was exceptional.
We will be coming back.
We were not offered specials by our server. We heard as we were leaving a wine special at least.
Service was lovely, she gave recommendations, and since it was our first time that was very helpful. Everything came out with enough time to let us enjoy each course but we were never sitting with our stomachs grumbling. Over all was a lovely evening and the perfect birthday dinner.
The charcuterie board is overpriced and underwhelming - $19 for meat you don’t trust and beans that taste off. The menu changes but only in a way that they alter one of thing per item (battered vs non / cornmeal crusted vs not) ... it’s predictable and hasn’t changed in years. We are always hopeful and come back but then leave feeling disappointed.
The portions were large and presented attractively. The food, though, was somewhat overcooked. The fries were dry and the onion soup taste burnt.
Previously very consistent. Overwhelmed serving staff. After lunch delivered, no one came by table for 30 minutes. Soup cold. Beet salad had me searching for beets. Nuts on top burnt. Pickerel tasteless and coating had no crispness or crunch.
Weak performance all the way around.
One of my long time favourites. Food is always fantastic, and always something new to try.
This is a must-go place in Winnipeg! Everything is made with great grace, taste and deliciousness! Merci beaucoup!
one of the best restaurants with very interesting and changing menues!
There was a large table of loud guys, but not the restaurants fault. Meal was superb. Drinks were amazing!
Fantastic food, great service. Had the bacon/apple/brie grilled cheese and it was AMAZING!!! Will be back again soon.
Our dinner/night was amazing! It was my first visit, loved it! Our waitress Carly was amazing! I would recommend for sure! Can’t wait to go back!
I went to Peasant Cookery with my wife for our anniversary. The food was delicious, well presented, and reasonably priced for a higher end dining experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The reservation process was smooth and easy.
Server didn’t know the wines very well. The kitchen also forgot one of our cheeses when we ordered a cheese board.
Cloth napkins would be a better choice at this upscale restaurant. I had the pickerel which lacked much flavour. Also, there was no pepper on the table and we were not offered freshly ground pepper.
Nice ambiance. Would definitely go again
We had the table right in front of the door in spite of making a reservation a few weeks ago..had a draft all night and ++ traffic.
Waitress should not be wearing perfume, in case of people with allergies.
Food was ok , my walleye fish was breaded . It what every Manitoban fisherman cook with at home. I was expecting something more different for high end price. Breaded fish look very cheap but tasty, but also the vegetable with wild rice was very good.
My girlfriend though her pork chops was very good and very filling. I noticed all dinner served was in large portion at all table around us.
loved it. server was amazing and gave amazing recommendations.
The service and food were excellent! The new menu is intriguing and my first dish from it was delicious.
Very tasty, and fast service
Over priced and odd
The server is very cognizant of getting the patrons to their "shows" whether it be Opera, Ballet or MTC on time. The food was very good and the restaurant was lovely.
DDDeliscious! I have only been twice but it is my biggest rave at the moment.
This was our first time at the restaurant, and we loved it! Definitely will make it a regular on dining out list.
Love the restaurant. A favourite for before show meals.
Food, staff and ambiance were fabulous. Only issue right now is the road construction and parking, but I knew that and went early. I was able to get parking across the street.
I take clients here 5-6 times per year and this last visit was a disappointment. Specifically the two lamb main courses we ordered. I would say they were both 70/30 fat to meat content. $200 bill for three people ... I am not impressed and after that I don’t intend to revisit.
My wife was late. It was an early siitting. Good service. Delicious food. Current menu is different than online.
We sat in the lounge and our server Max was so fantastic. There was a new bartender on who wasn’t doing the ... best? ...
Job, however, he was new so I’ll give him that. He just didn’t know how to make a paralyzer - a little alarming.
Max was so great about quality control of the drinks coming out of the bar and you could see him really caring about what was going out to every customer.
Thanks for going above and beyond.
New menu has some fantastic options!! As always the service was incredible and attentive
Food was excellent. Love the cheese boards and the different varieties.
