    We chose to eat on the bar side when we got there. It had seemed to have cozier feel to it. Waiter was friendly and then the bartender came over to say hi and help us make choices: Dry ribs, onion soup, and an amazing chicken entree with a nice dry Chardonnay from USA. In the end we enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. Last time we were there on the restaurant side it was a so-so experience. This reminded us why we like this place. We’ll stick to the bar side from now on.

    Great spot for a classic dinner date. I especially recommend Wednesdays on "Buck a chuck" night. They, however, also have daily specials. Cocktails are excellent as well, bartender even went off the menu.

    I ordered a cocktail and was told after about 10 minutes they didn’t have all the ingredients - I looked for an alternative and was recommended to have a cosmopolitan- Our mussels and fries came - a very small portion- and my cocktail was still not served The chicken dinner we shared was nice - a bit salty - but quite good All in all nice but would have been better if cocktail was available and alternative served on time

    Looked forward to the evening, but wine and drinks came after our appetizers which was done so quickly it was blink of an eye. Never impressed when food arrives before your bottle of wine or your cocktails. The oysters billed as a feature were poor at best, we ate them but not impressive. Steaks, two ordered as medium, again came so quickly i was surprised. Both were medium rare, bloody. Definitely not medium and were a little tough. my dumplings were a little starchy, again good but not great. Overall we had a nice evening with our friends and ignored the dinner imperfections. With a dinner costing over 400.00 dollars the dinner was certainly NOT memorable, just disappointing.

    I have dined here many times and the food and service has always been great, oddly last night we ordered our drinks and a dozen oysters and our oysters arrived before our drinks. We waited a few minutes but still no drinks so we started our oysters and finished the dozen and still no drinks. It didnt seem busy this is the first time dining this has happened. No explanation ? Thank you Robert Kirkwood

    Our server was fantastic, knowledgeable without being pretentious. I wish I remembered her name. I found the prices to be reasonable for that type of restaurant, and the portion sizes to be quite large. I can't wait to have the vegan mac and cheese again. I try to avoid dairy, so this was a total treat. I'm already searching for recipes to try and recreate it at home.

    Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. Our meal was delicious. I have eaten here many times and will undoubtedly return. Danielle was not our server but she checked in on us and filled our water glasses and helped with the bill.

    A special night out for a birthday. The mussel special was enjoyed by my guest and the pickerel was tasty! Busy Monday night so a bit understaffed. That being said, our server was wonderful!

    Had the shepherd’s pie with the a spinach & beat salad. Both were excellent. Wished for a little more potato topping on the pie but otherwise yummy. Complementing it was a very good Chardonnay. The only piece that wasn’t above average was the desert, a chocolate tarte. I’ll pass next time. It wasn’t worth the calories. We will definitely be back. This restaurant is very satisfying.

    Went for a birthday dinner. Food was all right, but nothing special - not really worth the price. The service was also pretty meh, we waited around 10 minutes just to be seated.

    Service was excellent - nice fellow. Food was "fine" - not amazing but quite good. Did find the per glass cost of wine quite high - 9 oz Pinot Grigio - $22 - white wine by the glass ranges from $21 to $23. Music loud due to festival in The Cube beside the restaurant (we sat outside) but we were fine with that.

    This is a great restaurant. The service was impeccable; our waither was a pro, attentive, and made great suggestions. Thge food chaoice were all excellent, varied and unique compared to other restaurants. Everything was delicious. Neither of us have any negative comments about the restaurant. Only problem we have is we live more than seven hours away in the United States!

    Very poor service. Kept having to flag down server. Two tables were seated well after us but left well before us. Shouldn’t take 3.5 hours for 2 people to eat, especially when we were called to come in early as there was to be another party arriving after 90 mins. Used to be my fav Exchange restaurant. Now I’m not sure I would go back.

    Day 12 of my pre birthday celebrations and in pursuit of discovering the new (possible) home city’s food. Today has been the best meal we’ve had so far. This restaurant is in the historic Exchange District of YWG and housed in one of the many turn-of-the-century beautifully preserved masonry structures in one of Canada’s designated historic sites. The mode was casual and the ambiance had this quirky old world charm. Service was outstanding! 10/10! We ordered: Starters: *CHICKEN LIVERS. $19 Pan-fried with brandy peppercorn sauce, baguette toast. I hate liver but I loved the rich flavours of the sauce. WOWZA and YUMZA! The president said the livers had this amazing flavour profile and had beautiful texture. He finished the entire dish. 10/10! * PORK DRY RIBS. $16 Baby back ribs braised then fried until crisp, with chili and lime. The ribs was soft but not fall-off-the-bone so they were just perfect. The caramelized crust added more flavours and texture to these delectable bites. WOWZA and YUMZA! 10/10! Mains: *HOUSE SAUSAGE MEATBALL PAPPARDELLE. $28 Smoked tomato and pepper cream sauce, garlic, onions, arugula and chêvre cheese. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was a real winner. The meatballs were just ok. 8/10! *PORK CHOP. $36 Roasted root vegetables, green beans, pickled apples and grainy mustard jus. The chop was pure perfection. So tender, juicy and just packed with incredible flavours. The mustard jus elevated the sensational texture and flavours to another level. WOWZA and YUMZA 20/10!!! 🔥😍😋😱💕 A remarkable culinary experience for sure.

    Lovely evening food is good and extensive wine list Smaller menu which is fine but look before by you go so you know what is available. Pate was amazing and Hunter’s chicken was delicious. Great place to go. This was Thursday May 10 and great. It was unfortunate they lost our reservation the week before though as we were so looking forward to it on Wednesday May 3.
