We ate out on the heated patio. Beautiful ocean views. Sea bass with forbidden rice was excellent, as was the service. It’s a little pricey, but we thought it was worth it.

Our dining experience was so memorable and the food was excellent! Georgie, our waitress was attentive, fun and engaging. At the beginning, they serve this amazing bread. I wish I could have brought more home with me. We ordered the meatballs and crab cakes for appetizers. Highly recommend! The ribeye received great reviews from our guests. My husband had the risotto with salmon. And I had the sea bass. The chef’s skills on presentation and ingredients were outstanding. We are planning another trip mid December and will plan to dine here again. The only downside was the street noise. We sat on the patio (gorgeous) but the sports cars racing near the restaurant made it difficult at times to hear our waiters or company.

The Pelican Grill is one of the most delightful restaurants in Southern California. The atmosphere is exceptional and their Sea Bass was the best I've ever had. We live so close but feel like we are on vacation each time we come.

Our waiter Robert knows what customer service is, was very respectful, knowledgable and a very aware of his customers needs. His recommendations were spot on. From the hostess on the service was fantastic but most important part… the FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING, and the view? Icing on the cake

Beautiful restaurant, gorgeous view and nice server. The food was not great for the outrageous prices they charged for lunch. The onion soup first came out cold. It was replaced but not caked with cheese on top like we thought. The pizza was very weird. The salads and burger were fine but way too expensive. They did give a birthday dessert though. Won’t be going back,

Always a great ocean view from the patio but severly under staffed... thh servers where doing their best but over taxed with work and a nromal 90 minute dinner took a little over 3 hours... that is just too long.

I decided to surprise my wife with a anniversary dinner, but I didn’t know where to take her in the area. So I found a Pelican in Grill on OpenTable. I decided to give it a try and make a reservation. When we got there, we were blown away by the golf greens and view of the ocean which we didn’t get to sit by but that’s OK. From the greeting check-in to our waiters was an excellent experience. The food was delicious, and they even made us an anniversary dessert. My wife and I loved it and I believe that we can make this our anniversary dinner spot every year or at least for special occasions.

Went to the Grill (consider it our neighborhood restaurant) with our friends. Since Pelican closed Andrea, the Grill’s menu has been bumped up a bit, less casual, but the ambience is still very casual. Our experience last night was terrible. Two of our meals were practically inedible. Our sides arrived halfway through completion of our entrees. We ordered one dessert that we sent back. All the while the Host was constantly walking by or hanging by our table to hurry us along. The Grill has lost it’s charm, and we’re not ones to ever complain about price, but it was way too much money for the quality.

Beautiful resteraunt with view of the ocean and sunset. Limited menu would have liked to see more seafood and pasta dishes. Service decent but waited probably fifteen minutes between appetizers and main meal. Salads came at the same time as main entree. The bill was exorbitant in my opinion.

My wife and I had a 6:15 PM Dinner reservation. When we arrived, we were given a choice of inside of terrace seating. The only Terrace seat was fully in the sun; so, we chose inside seating. Our table faced the terrace which faced the ocean (had a great view of the sunset). Wife ordered the Ribeye and I ordered the Rack of Lamb. We also ordered the vegetable beef soup (in a tomorrow broth). Everything was perfectly to order and sizable portions (at least 1/2 of each portion went home with us). If you are looking for a 5-star restaurant experience, highly suggest Pelican Hill Grill.

This is an excellent place to celebrate a special occasion. The staff were friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. While acknowledging the event we were celebrating there was no attempt to force it on others or to embarrass us. The food was exquisite.
