For reservations, we ask that you arrive promptly and with your complete party so that you may be seated without delay, helping to ensure social distancing per city and state safety mandates. To further ensure safety and adherence, we will now ask guests to aid us by limiting the table times for parties: 1-2ppl to one hour and a half, 3-4ppl to 1 hour and 45 minutes, 5-6ppl to 2 hours.
We do not reserve tables in our outdoor patio. If you are interested in seating outside you can put in a request on your reservation and we will get you seated as soon as we have a table available.
You are more than welcome to bring a cake. There is a $3 cake cutting fee per person.

Starting December 1st we will change our hours of operation only Monday through Thursday opening at 5pm instead of 4pm until spring. Thank you!

While the ambience was outstanding it was frustrating that almost all the food seemed to have little to no salt. And there was no salt on the table. I'd say the two starters I had (Beef carpaccio and side of rapini brocolli had literally no salt) at which point we asked for a salt shaker. It kind of felt like they just boiled some brocolli and thru it onto a plate. which iI can do at home. I mean, a little hit of salt and maybe even parm goes a long way. Otherwise it's just something I can do at home blind. Especially when spending over $200 on a meal and wine etc its the little things that can destroy a meal. And some little things really stood out.

The garden was a perfect spot for dinner. The drinks before dinner and the wine with dinner was great. However, our waiter and the food service was poor. We waited to order a drink. We waited even longer to to order our food. People around us were getting food. Neither appetizer or dinner came ina timely fashion.. While the food was tremendous, the wait time detracted from the overall experience.

Picolo Sogno is our go-to dining experience following theater or opera. Staff are knowledgeable and accommodating; food is best Italian option in Chicago. Kudos!

We were grateful to get a seat on the patio, and the evening was beautiful! The service was great, but the food not so much. We ordered the broccolini, which was simply steamed, not great quality, and not seasoned in any way. The pasta dishes we ordered were mediocre. The quality did not match the price point.

We had a wonderful lunch outside, unfortunately the Yellowjackets were in full swing. We’ll eat inside next time. Otherwise a fantastic restaurant.

Nice ambience. Warm greetings at the door. Good service. Pretty loud for a Thursday evening - tables are too close particularly inside. As much as I like low lighting, there is such a thing as too low. Perhaps the part of the restaurant we were sitting in was particularly darker? Had to resort to using the iPhone light to read the menu. The food was good - but not particularly impressive. We are both vegetarian and had good options. However, in general, food was less flavorful than I expected from the descriptions in the menu and just how those ingredients should work together. The ravioli was a bit 'tough' to cut into and bite into. Nothing stood out as being the highlight. It was OK.

Perfect evening on the patio. Service was very good - they never rush you so you can linger with an old friend. The Halibut was terrific and the pasta of the day so well made. Thank you for an amazing evening.

We were greeted warmly by the host and offered the opportunity to sit outside on their large, but attractive patio. We accepted the offet and were shown to a nice well-spaced table for two. The waiter exlained the menu and the specials and took our order - sharing three courses - a caprese salad, a pasta with a veal ragu, and a salmon dish. All wete served as requested and were split for us. All were very much enjoyed. The service was also outstanding. Higjly recommend.

The food deserved more than Open Table’s max five stars. The outdoor seating is lovely! Was there for a business dinner, but this is a great date night and special occasion venue. Highly recommend!

Always been a favorite since moving to the neighborhood. Was quite disappointed that the Anatra was no longer on the menu. The duck entree has always been my go to dish! Please bring it back!!

Tiramisu was amazing 🥮! The outside seating is definitely better than inside. Inside is beautiful as well but outside you see the sky and some of the skyline with lights and heaters.

I love this restaurant. I have never eaten any item that wasn't wonderful. The garden is spectacular. The wait staff was helpful, as always, but last night, the service wasn't up to par; perhaps one or more people were missing last night.

The service staff were all friendly, helpful, and responsive. This was our 2nd time eating at Piccolo Sogno and we enjoyed both times tremendously. The patio is inviting and pleasant (maybe a wee bit crowded, but not invasively so). It ticked all of our 'Let's go again!' boxes.
