We had wonderful beverages and we loved the arancini - the mushroom risotto was watery, the rockfish was super over cooked and dry, the Mac and cheese was great but they no longer offer crab for the top, and the burger was just a burger. The ambience and heightened style is what brings us to this place Nd we will eat here again we just won’t ever order those items. The quality just wasn’t as good as it has been in the past.

Steaks, salmon and burger were burnt, risotto was served half hour after all other food and was runny. Decent Mac and Cheese, fries and focaccia bread. Comped one steak but wrote on ticket that it was due to customer dislike rather than the chef cooked it wrong. Medium is not burnt! Their presence online shows an upscale dining experience but we found the opposite. Don’t waste your time or money.

We shared a bottle of Riesling, which was tasty and well chilled. We started with the appetizer french fries. Crispy and hot! Nice they were gluten free, which is often not the case. Husband has celiac, ugh. I had the Wild Mushroom & Crab Arancini appetizer as my meal. It was delicious! Husband had the wild mushroom risotto which was also very good. Great view of the ocean and kites. Our waitstaff was very helpful and provided excellent service.

Unfortunately, we had a poor experience at the Pickled Fish. Our primary issue is that we were dramatically rushed through dinner. Along with that main dishes were mediocre. My steak was way over cooked, and my husband's risotto was just OK. The clam appetizer was very good, and the German Chocolate cake was also great. The rushing and pushing from the wait staff really ruined the night for us

Our group of four thought our meal choices were good; however, the lavender crusted albacore was a trifle overpowering. Our server was perfunctory and, I personally felt, a bit misguiding. For example, being the four of us, we thought of sharing the appetizer, House Made Rosemary Focaccia. We asked how many pieces there were per serving, to which she responded two...yes, quite correct, but those two pieces could easily have worked for the four of us as they were large. In fact, each couple did not eat the entire two pieces. She could have been more explanatory as I've found with other servers in other establishments advising that, indeed, it would have been satisfactory for four persons...given the large entrees that were also ordered. On another note, I think it would be wise for diners to double check their credit card upon arriving home. We were charged twice...once on the day we dined, and another the next day. Needless, to say, I'll be contacting the restaurant to discuss this matter.

2 out of the 3 meals we ordered were absolutely amazing (mushroom risotto & NY steak). the 3rd wasn’t as tasty (caesar salad, that didn’t really taste like caesar & the chicken was a little too done which caused a char flavor). despite the 3rd meal not being that great the overall experience was amazing. very great customer service. they saw we didn’t eat the caesar salad & took it off our bill. we ordered 3 different drinks as well which were all delicious. we will definitely be back.

Definitely order the focaccia. The wild mushroom & crab arancini was delicious, as was the roasted mushroom pizza. Our server, unfortunately, got our order wrong at first and also never brought refills for our beverages. Overall, it’s probably the coolest dinner spot you’ll find in that area. Just hope you get better service.
