PIER 7 restaurant + bar - 'Shipyard Square' North Vancouver
Food - cold - overcooked ! Soup cold - mussels old and stringey - worst meal we have ever had there. Only positive was they comped the food
The service was good.. food took a little longer to arrive.. the flavour of the food presentation was fantastic I definitely recommend it
Everything was so so. I was expecting more for sure. Except for the location! Defiantly one of the nicest views in all of Vancouver!
Might come back for a Happy Hour...
Service was awful, ended up getting sick from bad oysters there. The ambience and view is nice
Valentines Day so we knew it might be busy. It was great but we arrived for 4:30 for Happy Hour b/c we had a show in town. Parked at Pinnacle and they took the receipt and reimbursed us. We even had chocolate covered strawberries given to us in celebration of Valentines Day. Overall a good experience.
The food was delicious, the Thai prawns had the right amount of heat.My partner had the salmon he said it was great
The service is great at PIER 7, it was low level sound so you can talk. There was live music in the patio. We sensed a bit more salt than expected in the food but it was very good. Overall we will be back more times.
Very nice place for brunch and food is always good. Love going there for casual Sunday/Saturday with friends
Our first visit to the Pier
Our server Emily was excellent
The food was good , prices reasonable and overall a great experience
We will be going back.
The patio has a great view
Would highly recommend
I have been to Pier 7 three times. Two of the three times our meals were extremely delayed. The first time it happened, they said the order got lost. Fortunately they complemented our meals and we were ready to return. We decided to try again because of Dine Out. We invited another couple with us this time. It took well over an hour to get our meal. The waitress apologized profusely and kept telling us our meal was coming. Her supervisor came by and said the meal was delayed because it wasn't plated properly and that it would be out shortly. Twenty minutes later. I am not inspired to return.
The server had a lovely demeanor however the overall service was poor. Understaffed, long waits for everything including drink refreshing For a $250 dinner for a couple should have been a much better experience.
I had eater there before but at lunch and in the summer when it was quieter. Maybe it’s because of DINE OUT Vancouver, but the noise level was really high, though we were seated over by a window away from the door. The table next to us had a family of 10+including children who ran around and were generally a nuisance. Plus the table behind us had four chatty young women with loud voices. Above us, a private party was going on, with dancing I’m sure from the thumping.Still the food was excellent, and we four enjoyed the fare. The portions were exactly right and the wine delicious. Excellent dinner for the price, but perhaps a faster service could be expected next time.
It was my first time visiting this restaurant as a double date for Dine Out Vancouver. Atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful considering it was a gloomy rainy day, it was nice having a view over looking the water.
We ordered parmesan fries and mussels to share as starters on top of the typical dine out menu appetizers. The waitress took away the pot of mussels while there were still mussels inside the pot! She did not make the effort to ask if we were done or if she could take it away. We didn't think much of it as it was a dark black pot and the mussel shells were dark as well. It definitely could've been a mistake. But she came back and threw our dirty napkins and cutlery into the parmesan fries (which we still had 1/3 left)!! That's when I had to up speak and up say we still eating the fries.
The waitress was kind of put off guard and said sorry sluggishly. Most likely will not be returning back to this restaurant. Food was average at best (salty steak/ mushy fish and chips batter).
We are regulars and really enjoy their food. We decided to partake in Dine Out Vancouver. Very disappointed in the portion size. I expected it to be a little smaller than a usual portion, but it would have fit on a side plate. Won’t do it again.
Food is always good, service is fantastic. For a restaurant by the water the prices are very reasonable. I’ve been here 5 times now for meeting friends, family gatherings, celebrations - always a great time.
Great service, everyone raves about there food and no not noisy at all! The view could have been better but cannot daily restaurant for an ugly rainy day!
Most enjoyable night. Food excellent.
We enjoyed a relaxing lunch ... the setting is always incredible ... the service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet allowing us to have a relaxed conversation while enjoying a great meal!
waitresses I believe were tired since no helping to chose drink No Information
And just they wanted take plate which still we were eating and done
In General I was expecting more than this
Really like this restaurant. Good food, fantastic view. Definately would go there again.
We were there on New Years Eve at 3 pm. Thus it was very quiet and the service was impeccable. We were literally the only table in our section. We sat by the ocean and the view was beautiful. The food was good. The salmon burger was excellent. The chicken burger was good and my daughters pasta with meatballs must have been good as she didn’t come up for air. We have discussed eating less meat and the menu had some intriguing meatless options... they will have to wait for another day.
Very good service and a beautiful view. Our first time but will definitely come back.
Our third time here for lunch. Not disappointed. Very good. Would recommend.
My husband and I made a reservation for the 3-course Christmas dinner because we were on our own for Christmas and the dinner was offered at a very reasonable price. We arrived on the dot, but were kept waiting before being seated while the (only?) hostess sorted out an issue with another customer's bill. Then we waited 35 minutes for the first course. After we enquired and our soup arrived, which was delicious!, the rest of the service was good and we enjoyed the meal. Portions were generous, roasted brussel sprouts were tasty and unique.
Had a wonderful experience! Beautiful table right on the window looking over the harbour and Vancouver city lights. Our server, March, was amazing and very patient with us during wine choosing. Food took a long time to be served so she brought us a couple free nibblies - salsa and chips, and some braised brussel sprouts -- very considerate and nummy! Rack of lamb was very good and cooked exactly as I liked it. One of our party had the chicken/mushroom penne which he found did not have enough sauce which she brought additional right away. Overall we were very pleased and already have a lunch planned for January! Thanks!
Very disappointing food limited wine list. I had the feature disk which was poor and small a portion.
Excellent office staff Christmas lunch. Really enjoyed the traditional holiday menu!
Great service! Lovely water view! Happy hour is a great value!
Great evening as usual! Food was very good, service excellent, and you cannot beat the view!
We love this restaurant and visit often for one favorite dish - the Haida Gwai halibut. The last 2 visits have been disappointing as they have changed the recipe. The last visit, the dish had changed to include arugula (it states kale on the menu) and an almondine sauce which was flavorless. The fish tasted and looked like cod, not halibut. Very disappointing. The service however was excellent as usual.
Excellent place to go with friends or family to enjoy great food.
My favorite dish is the Haida Gwai halibut, however the latest offering of this menu item had an addition of arugula salad. Not enjoyable. If I order this again, I would ask them to hold the arugula...otherwise, we had a good meal and enjoy this restaurant very much.
Beautiful day to eat on the patio
of this lovely local restaurant. Our tuna poke bowls were delicious and our server was great without being too cloying. Overall a great waterfront spot on the North Shore
Amazing as always
Mussel Monday 😃
Best Caesar salad 🥗
Many gluten free options for my guest!
I made reservations for a friend's birthday dinner who has never been to Pier7. I mentioned in on line form in my note thst it was Milena's birthday, asking for a table by the window and expecting a little something (like a piece of birthday cake or similar for Milena) I phoned to reservations a week before to explain and ask them for a special consideration for this occasion. On the day , Sat 16th of November, we arrived to all window tables were taken. Hostess tried to tell me that there was no requests specifically for a window table... after a quick talk, she changed the story that nothing can be guaranteed, it is first come first serve basis. So my conclusion is - don't ever go to Pier7 for any special occasions. We ended up by the window in the tent heated patio. Much more casual with little kids etc and no table cloth. No special attention to our birthday guest. Very mediocre service. Good location. Great views. Okay food. Please, step up your services, Pier7. Otherwise, you are nothing but yet another overpriced chain eatery.
My friends were visiting from Germany and it was a birthday celebration. We were sat outside with a beautiful window seat. The food was excellent and the service was prompt and pleasant. I definitely recommend this restaurant! One recommendation is the heat could be better circulated, sitting directly under the heaters was uncomfortable.
This is always a good place for us to bring visitors to the North Shore. The view is fabulous. The service was good. The lunch menu is okay for the price but, yes, we will be back.
Great happy hour menu. Beautiful view. Busy for a Sunday night.
They had live music on the Saturday evening. It was so loud my wife and I could not even have a basic conversation. My halibut dish was good but my wife’s Caesar Salad with prawns was nothing to right home about - below average.
I had a double spicy Caesar drink before dinner and it certainly was not a double, barely a single.
Overall, waste of our time and money even though I did think my meal was OK.
