We hit Happy Hour and took full advantage -the crispy Brussels sprouts and fish tacos and steak and frites were all delicious! The grand finale -peanut butter chocolate torte-ooooh la la!
We had asked to be seated in the patio when we made our reservation a day prior. There was no patio seating available upon our arrival. There was a very intoxicated couple seated next to us, they were extremely inappropriate and obnoxious. I’m surprised they were not asked to leave. Our waitress was very friendly and kind just wished she had check on us more frequently. Over all the food was great just wished we had our requested seating and wish the obnoxious couple next to us was asked to leave as they really ruined the ambience.
This was our first venture to eat in a restaurant since the pandemic lock down started in March. The staff made us feel very comfortable and safe and we felt very relaxed.
Our favourite place to eat! They have a great environment, a view that can’t be beat, 2 patios, great safety plan.
I love the outside patio at Pier 7 for the view and ambience. They've done well with providing for COVID safety and not losing too much of the atmosphere. The brunch plates weren't as robust as I remember but satisfying. I felt like the music was too loud for the type of music - which I like, but not when I'm trying to have a conversation. Maybe it's just my aging ears. Appreciated the wait staff. They're having to deal with a lot with wearing masks etc.
Good food, service, location. Wish the Upper Deck was open and the weather was a little nicer.
Great food and ambience. The service was remarkably delayed.
The servers were very friendly, fast service and happy to hear they followed social distancing protocols. Food was excellent - love the truffle fries
Great service , food was delicious and very reasonable and of course a fabulous view to boot
The food was very good, nice-sized portions with lots of flavour and a great spot on the patio. A night to remember for sure.
Service was excellen, very friendly and accommodating staff. As for the food, very disappointed! For what you're paying...not worth it at all, I'm sorry! Both meals were very bland, I was very surprised and can honestly say that we will not be revisiting this restaurant in the future nor will recommend it to friends. The raw oysters were the only highlight from this place.
Good times with family- Birthday
The location is awesome; watching the sun go down and the city lights come up. I love the outside patio and the happy hour is great. I wonder if the share plates should have a warning re: the virus. We shared with friends and it was only after that I wondered what we were thinking as we were just excited to be in your lovely spot and meet up. I would highly recommend your place and will be back - with a little more
caution in my sharing these days.
We had a window table in brilliant sunshine on a cold crisp day. What could be nicer. The restaurant was comfortable. The servers were smart and just attentive enough. We ordered a selection of seafood dishes which satisfied everyone. The seafood chowder and the lobster Cobb salAd were particularly tasty and fresh. We will try to come more often. We were celebrating someone’s birthday but hadn’t told the restaurant. One of our servers saw a birthday card, so she happily surprised us by bringing out a dessert with lit candle at the end of the meal.
we originally made reservation for 4, then wanted to add another person and were told that it was not possible, so we went with original number.
There were plenty of empty tables during the entire time we were there, and had they been more accommodating, they would have had one more client that day.
Happy hour is where it's at!
Muscles were amazing, and the peir 7 ceasar was honestly the best I've ever had.
Food service was slow on a Sunday considering we received our happy hour appetizers after another table that was seated much later than us.
Consequently, we ordered dinner early anticipating it would also take a while to prepare. Dinner arrived within 15min.
The calamari appetizer was hard and tasteless but the mussels were tasty and gravy was good. It was recommended by our server who was quite attentive and provided good service.
Nice choices on the menu, good service. Nice view out the window. Me mum liked it.
Food was excellent but the main course was a little skimpy. I had the prawns and scallops and there were only 3 scallops and 4 prawns. I was still hungry even though we had also enjoyed a dozen raw oysters. overall I would go again but portions could be bigger. Dessert was amazing!
The service, ambience and entree were great. The calamari appetizer was the worst I’ve had. Will go back but will be ordering another appetizer.
Food - cold - overcooked ! Soup cold - mussels old and stringey - worst meal we have ever had there. Only positive was they comped the food
The service was good.. food took a little longer to arrive.. the flavour of the food presentation was fantastic I definitely recommend it
Everything was so so. I was expecting more for sure. Except for the location! Defiantly one of the nicest views in all of Vancouver!
Might come back for a Happy Hour...
Service was awful, ended up getting sick from bad oysters there. The ambience and view is nice
Valentines Day so we knew it might be busy. It was great but we arrived for 4:30 for Happy Hour b/c we had a show in town. Parked at Pinnacle and they took the receipt and reimbursed us. We even had chocolate covered strawberries given to us in celebration of Valentines Day. Overall a good experience.
The food was delicious, the Thai prawns had the right amount of heat.My partner had the salmon he said it was great
The service is great at PIER 7, it was low level sound so you can talk. There was live music in the patio. We sensed a bit more salt than expected in the food but it was very good. Overall we will be back more times.
Very nice place for brunch and food is always good. Love going there for casual Sunday/Saturday with friends
Our first visit to the Pier
Our server Emily was excellent
The food was good , prices reasonable and overall a great experience
We will be going back.
The patio has a great view
Would highly recommend
I have been to Pier 7 three times. Two of the three times our meals were extremely delayed. The first time it happened, they said the order got lost. Fortunately they complemented our meals and we were ready to return. We decided to try again because of Dine Out. We invited another couple with us this time. It took well over an hour to get our meal. The waitress apologized profusely and kept telling us our meal was coming. Her supervisor came by and said the meal was delayed because it wasn't plated properly and that it would be out shortly. Twenty minutes later. I am not inspired to return.
The server had a lovely demeanor however the overall service was poor. Understaffed, long waits for everything including drink refreshing For a $250 dinner for a couple should have been a much better experience.
I had eater there before but at lunch and in the summer when it was quieter. Maybe it’s because of DINE OUT Vancouver, but the noise level was really high, though we were seated over by a window away from the door. The table next to us had a family of 10+including children who ran around and were generally a nuisance. Plus the table behind us had four chatty young women with loud voices. Above us, a private party was going on, with dancing I’m sure from the thumping.Still the food was excellent, and we four enjoyed the fare. The portions were exactly right and the wine delicious. Excellent dinner for the price, but perhaps a faster service could be expected next time.
It was my first time visiting this restaurant as a double date for Dine Out Vancouver. Atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful considering it was a gloomy rainy day, it was nice having a view over looking the water.
We ordered parmesan fries and mussels to share as starters on top of the typical dine out menu appetizers. The waitress took away the pot of mussels while there were still mussels inside the pot! She did not make the effort to ask if we were done or if she could take it away. We didn't think much of it as it was a dark black pot and the mussel shells were dark as well. It definitely could've been a mistake. But she came back and threw our dirty napkins and cutlery into the parmesan fries (which we still had 1/3 left)!! That's when I had to up speak and up say we still eating the fries.
The waitress was kind of put off guard and said sorry sluggishly. Most likely will not be returning back to this restaurant. Food was average at best (salty steak/ mushy fish and chips batter).
We are regulars and really enjoy their food. We decided to partake in Dine Out Vancouver. Very disappointed in the portion size. I expected it to be a little smaller than a usual portion, but it would have fit on a side plate. Won’t do it again.
Food is always good, service is fantastic. For a restaurant by the water the prices are very reasonable. I’ve been here 5 times now for meeting friends, family gatherings, celebrations - always a great time.
Great service, everyone raves about there food and no not noisy at all! The view could have been better but cannot daily restaurant for an ugly rainy day!
Most enjoyable night. Food excellent.
We enjoyed a relaxing lunch ... the setting is always incredible ... the service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet allowing us to have a relaxed conversation while enjoying a great meal!
