    Very busy so service was slow, everyone working hard and fast, just really busy. No wait for table though so I’m not sure if they have too many seats for the size of the kitchen/bar? Anyway, the tuna appetizer was awesome, the draft beer barely cold, my wife’s salmon quinoa salad was good but was much more greens than quinoa. My surf and turf ($78) was interesting, you get exactly what the menu suggests but I wonder why 12 oz striploin? Why not a better but smaller cut? The steak was perfectly cooked but the tendon/connective tissue in a strip loin does interfere with the enjoyment of a steak. 12 oz is a lot of steak. Prawns were very plainly (over) cooked, appeared precooked, frozen, then fried in butter. Same method with the “lobster claw” which is served out of shell (so could be anything really) and was very dry and seemed precooked and reheated. Mashed potatoes and the cherry tomato and zucchini and sauce were excellent. I wish I’d ordered something different. Pastas looked good as did the fish. Sorry to sound so snobby, I’m disappointed because, well, the bill was $200. Oh, the second drinks we got (Coriño) were excellent!

    Nice patio seating. Shrimp cocktail was really good. Although menu is primarily seafood I ordered the steak frites. The fries were really good. Came out hot from the kitchen. Service was outstanding.

    My friend and I were there for lunch. I had halibut & chips and my friend had cod and chips. The kitchen got the orders mixed up and gave me cod. The manager was quick to rectify the issue. Our waiter was a lovely friendly young man from Australia and we enjoyed chatting to him. I love Pier 7 and have been there many times over the years. They serve the best French Fries in Vancouver! And they have a great variety of brunch items. I highly recommend Pier 7. Their location right on the waterfront is perfect. Will return soon!

    I ordered a fish and chips with truffle fries. The portion is larger than an average Canadian serving. The fish and chips was fine . The truffle fries was excelllent. The ambience was good as I was seated in the patio. It could have been better if not for the two loud old men talking on top of their voices non stop.

    Discovered the best place to celebrate our Marriage. We ate dinner while listening to the waves hit the rocks on Pier 7 restaurant’s patio. Everything we wanted, very grateful.

    When I go to a place like this, I expect more effort from chef - not a big pile of mashed potatoes with lumps. The kitchen gotta learn how to make it still. Chowder was fire though.
