Great place for lunch during the week. I imagine it's jammed on a weekend. Parking across the street made things much easier. Accommodated a friend in a wheelchair very easily. Staff were lovely and very welcoming and attentive. Food was very nice. The "mocktails" were not up to the standards of the other food/beverage offerings so I would not recommend them. But kudos for trying to do something interesting for those who don't want an adult beverage. Portions are generous -- a pizza can be shared by two and the salads can also be shared. Things are fresh and tasty and very well prepared. The dessert menu is very nice. I'd recommend the panna cotta. Prices are what we have come to expect for fresh ingredients. Recommended.

Francesco was fantastic! Our food came out immediately instead of delayed as we requested. Apparently the kitchen wanted to go home. Peach salad, lamb shank and passion fruit sorbetto were all excellent. Quiet table at the end of the restaurant was perfect.

Many times at Poggio and still love it. It's a great place for a celebration or a quiet dinner for 2 or 1. Bar has a nice buzzy scene. Restaurant is elegant but unpretentious. Food is uniformly excellent as is service. Overall, just great.

I ordered the Halibut because the waiter said it's med-rare, which is the way I like it. It came over cooked and dry. The spinach and butter beans had very little flavor. We did have a great waiter but he didn't offer to take anything off the bill or get me anything else. Probably won't go back. It's my second time in a few months to be totally disappointed in their food. It's not worth spending that kind of money on a mediocre meal.

Most of the dishes were very good, particularly the combinations of flavors and ingredients that the menu offers. The land shank was wonderfully tender. Some disappointments though - the octopus [appetizer] was overcooked and served lukewarm, so not very good though the rest of the dish was nice. The chicken was very dry, half of it inedible. Service was helpful and pleasant.

Poggio is one of my go-to restaurants for Italian cuisine in Marin County. Usually, the food is pretty consistent and well-prepared. The seared scallops were nicely done, as well as greens and Tagliatelle. The Risotto was nice and moist, not gummy, but was lacking in flavor and was overpriced at $30, imo. Service was okay, but the waiter forgot a salad order completely, and had to be reminded of what had been ordered and only brought it late in the meal. Chianti Classico was solid, and fairly priced for a the carafe provided.

Regular customer, visit at least weekly. Waiter ignored us. 30 min wait between water service and him showing up to take our order. We almost walked out. Asked for 2 appetizers to be served in sequence- were served at the same time. Asked for bill when ordering dessert. 30 min wait between finishing dessert and receiving bill and we had to flag someone down to ask for it a 2nd time. Very dissappointing service.

Poggio est un excellent restaurant italien idéalement situé sur la côte pacifique à Sausalito. Parking tout proche. Les plats sont vraiment excellents, le service de très haute qualité et la carte des vins magnifique. Vous ne regretterez pas votre repas !!! Nous y sommes allés deux fois pendant nos vacances et la qualité est toujours au rendez-vous, alors n’hésitez pas, réservez !!! La réservation en ligne est très simple. J’espère y revenir bientôt et encore merci pour ces bons moments.

We had a lovely dinner at Poggio. Everyone from the host to the bartender to our servicer was friendly and attenuative. Pasta was amazing!! Everything was perfect, would highly recommend.

Was excited to return to Poggio with my family only to be very disappointed with the service. I really like the menu and food, along with the thoughtful wine offerings, but we were ignored for most of the night and had to wait 15 minutes to get our servers attention so that we could pay the bill. Not sure we will return

Poggio lived up to its hype. Very authentic Italian food and ambiance. It was a bit noisy on a busy Saturday with many dogs, kids and loud patrons. The food was excellent and waitstaff was on point. Expensive however. One main course, two appetizers and a split of wine was $190.00 for lunch. Would return, just not on the weekend.

We started out with one waiter, who gave us the wrong info about our pizza so we were surprised when it did not come with tomato sauce. He was replaced by another waiter since his shift ended, and the second waiter was much better and brought us extra sauce. The chicken was unimpressive. Overdone and small, not juicy and wonderful as I expected. Salads and desserts were great. Atmosphere was wonderful, though there was the occasional siren and commotion on the street out in front. All in all it was a pleasant meal more for the atmosphere, then for the food. Not sure we will return.

We had the pleasure of going back to Poggio on August 27 to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were thrilled to see Armando and had a fabulous evening due to his excellent attention to our needs. The service and the food were EXCELLENT, as always, and we are looking forward to returning very soon.
