They really went out of their way on an anniversary dinner.
Very enjoyable with excellent service
Absolutely top of their game. And the off-menu souffle for the table was a great touch. Well done guys!
Terrific food and great servivce! Made my wife Carol's birthday a very special occasion. Many thanks to all the staff at Pollen Street Socialx
Have been to PSS a few times and always had a marvellous time. The food and service is mostly exceptional.
This visit went well. It was a birthday lunch and the card on the table was a nice touch. The lunch menu on offer was very good value and the food was fabulous. Only niggle was not being offered petit fours at the end. It did not occur to us until we observed all the other diners being offered. Not sure if they just forgot our table. No matter we asked and it was brought to us and quite delicious too.
Overall lovely way to have a birthday celebration.
It was so much great experience in London. Thank you for greeting my birthday. (Birthday cake was so lovely!!!)
And I hope I could visit again someday. :)
Starters were good, main courses were bland. The fish was dry and the meat was served cold. The service was really bad. The wine we ordered at the beginning of the meal was served only after 3 courses were already served. No one asked about red wine before the meat course and when we asked for it the wine arrived only after we finished the meat course... they also rushed through the courses and served the oyster ice cream when one of us went to the rest rooms, instead of waiting for the person to return...
Overall - bad service and mediocre food. Not justifying the hype and the price.
One of the greatest meals ever and has inspired my cooking (not least with the purchase of the brilliant book) for years to come. Service exemplary: when the guy with the cheese trolley didn't know the name of one of them he immediately went off to remind himself, the impenetrable poetry of the sommelier was a joy to listen to (if not understand) and she remembered at the end of the evening it was our first time. The oyster ice cream is genius - really, whop would think of that and its texture and temperature were perfect. A meal here is like a perfectly tuned chord from King's Cambridge or a Bridget Riley painting, everything totally thought about. Thank you.
A very pleasant post Christmas lunch. The food and service were excellent and the whole experience was very enjoyable. If you get the opportunity, you must give this place a try.
This was deeply disappointing and underwhelming.
Tasteless probably frozen snails with a good parsley/garlic risotto. An offendingly small crabdish with crabtaste overpowered by lemon puré. And worst of all: Cote de Beouf came out almost well done when ordered medium-rare to rare. We were to hungry to send it back after waiting for too long already. Mistake. A 99 pound disaster. Eaton mess was excellent. It was way overpriced. This is a chain restaurant and it shows. Shame on you.
All round excellent!
Fine dinning is not something we are accustomed to, but the staff at Pollen Street Social made us feel very welcome and made the experience far less daunting. Apart from one lapse when I was waiting to order a glass of wine to accompany my main course, service was excellent.
All of the food and drinks were simply outstanding.
Our tenth visit. Still impressive - not quite as high score as there were very limited starter options for me as I’m pregnant.
A night of two halves:
We really enjoyed the food and the service. We had been before and was looking forward to our visit.
However, we were really disappointed with the wine choice. For £80 we were expecting something quite special even if this was at the lower end of their spectrum. As we didn't think it was quite up to the standard that we thought it should be we did check it out on the Vino app and were disappointed to see it was actually on sale retail for about £18! We appreciate restaurants need to make a mark up but this was excessive. When we tried to bring this up, the sommelier had a very condescending attitude towards us as though we don't know our wine or how things work. Acknowledgement of our complaint at least and even just a tenner off our not insubstantial bill would have gone very far but instead we were treated like idiots.
It was a shame as up to this point everything had been lovely and the rest of the serving staff very friendly and professional.
We only manage to visit Pollen Street Social once a year just after Christmas and it’s always a lovely treat for us. Very relaxed and calm after the bustle of Oxford Street and wonderful service. The only reason for marking down one star for food is that we always choose the three course lunch and it doesn’t always seem to change very much. Otherwise it would be five stars all round.
Family lunch.
Lovely restaurant and outstanding meal.
Enjoyed Pre-Christmas Tasting Dinner recently at Pollen Street Social. Food was overall excellent, but because of our choice for the Tasting Menu a little too many dishes and flavours. Loved the Icebox at the end, very great idea! Service was attentive, maybe because of this time of the year it felt a little rushed (til mains arrived) and a little on the noisy side, but that’s probably down to my personal taste.
Can recommend it for a great evening with a relaxed, informal ambience and excellent service.
My wife and I selected the tasting menu with the steak as our main. The food was excellent and well laid out. Followed up by really good desserts. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant was friendly. Will definitely be back!
Our Christmas Eve dinner was nothing short of spectacular. Outstanding food and incomparable service.
Still the best place to dine in London. Jason Atherton and his team never disappoint.
Superb from beginning to end. £47 set festive lunch is great value especially considering all the extras like amuse bouche, predessert and petit fours. Food, wine, service and atmosphere all wonderful.
The overall service is good, but the taste was not that good as a Michelin 1 star restaurant. The classic wine pairing was not good enough. Overall this restaurant was not value for money.
Great food wonderful service friendly knowledgeable staff great
Possibly one of the best dining experiences in recent years - super service - excellent food - and the staff went the extra mile for a birthday celebration. Thank you for making our visit special.
Had an anniversary meal here, and it was hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. The vegetarian tasting menu was a delight, a cavalcade of playful, novel dishes that blew us away from beginning to end. The service was impeccable, always present for whatever we needed but never over zealous, and the ambience of the restaurant itself was very relaxed. Very much recommend going up to sit at the Dessert Bar and watch the food being prepared if you're offered the chance, all the chefs were incredibly friendly and open to answering questions about what they were doing.
Outstanding food and service as always from the Social group of restaurants
Food was amazing as always. Service was lacking and let food down a lot, especially as it was my wife’s birthday.
Fantastic as always - cutting edge cuisine, fantastic service and ambience. Everything needed to absolutely guarantee a perfect dining experience
Crazy good amuse bouche, all 10 of them (not literally, but there were so many of them it seemed like 10), so good they outshone everything we ate.
Although the vegan menu we had was excellent the service which started out fine slowed so that there were huge delays in the three dessert tasting courses - one of these was apparently due to the chef not being happy with the plate, but as it was 5 scoops of sorbet I cannot see how this warranted the delay. I decided against having coffee, even though I wanted one because I could not stand waiting any longer and it took two attempts to get the bill over 20 minutes. I would have given.a lower rating had I not called the restaurant manager the day after and believe he took my concerns and observations seriously. A lovely meal let down totally by the delivery.
I wasn’t really impressed by the level of service very slow and was disappointed for a Michelin star restaurant no truffles or sweet treats with the bill like other Michelin star places. Don’t think I’ll go back.
Pollen street social is the go to restaurant of London amazing atmosphere outstanding Michelin star food and a wine list to challenge any one with good wine appreciation I return time and time again and it never disappoints if you have already been then you won’t need to read this review as you will be back if you are new to this unique restaurant book fast they get pretty booked up

I haven't been back in a while but worth the visit. Every bit as good as I remember it to be. From the service, to the food to the atmosphere. Casual, relaxed, experience dining. You could spend a whole afternoon here. You do not feel rushed, although I believe there there is a time limit on table.
We walked out midway through the main course (which we paid for!) due to me being crashed into whilst eating by 5 waiters scurrying around at 100mph.
Phenomenal food, but also creative and imaginative.
Our waiter was also excellent. Attentive but not overly so and also not too serious. He smiled a lot. Think he was Indian
Quite noisy, food excellent and excellent service. Expensive but we were forewarned and does have a Michelin star. Will try the sister restaurant next time, across the street.
Absolutely perfect for our wedding anniversary. Outstanding food, service and lovely touches. Will be back!
The staff couldn't have done more to make sure we had a good birthday celebration. Warm, professional and unpretentious service. The food was delicious and the wine pairing was perfect and reasonably priced.
The food is the real
Reason to dine at Pollen st it is fabulous. Service is excellent. Great for a special occasion
Brilliant experience, I did think the lunchtime menu was very slightly disappointing, will definitely go back and eat from the main menu. Service, ambience, value were all superb, as was the amuse bouche and the chefs apertiser, highly recommend this establishment.
I also have Coeliac Disease and require a gluten free menu, this was no problem, the staff were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating.
Delicious lunch with lots of little surprises along the way!
