This place is a hidden gem and of the beaten path. A beautiful restaurant that has been here for 30 years. Food is fabulous and the service is great. Igor was our server and was amazing. We came here for Houston Restaurant's Week and their menu offering was the best of any other restaurants we've been to. Many of the other high-end restaurants/steakhouses offered a "cheaper" selection of menu items from their HRW menu, which we felt was stingy. This is a lovely restaurant!

Dining room was HOT. Worst waiter ever. Acted angry and impatient with our table of 6, rolled his eyes when one of our party sent the yucky tasting cup of soup back to the kitchen, telling our table he had served 50 cups of the same soup that afternoon with no complaints (a lie), would not let me clarify what I had ordered so he could bring me a correct bill- then he had other peoples items on my bill. RUDE RUDE RUDE. I requested the dressing for my salad on the side, it was brought with a ton of dressing ON the salad. I kept it rather than annoy the hostile waiter further. In addition to the 20% tip added to our bills, which I expected, was a $6.50 "service charge". We were charged extra for a hot room, and a nasty waiter. Don't go. Management- do something.

I did not expect a buffet on Easter. There was a brunch menu on Open Table that looked good. We had a disabled person in our party that made this very difficult. The buffet was very overpriced, no alcohol ordered and our bill with tip was $285 for three people. The food was disappointing. Eggs Benedict was dry and overcooked. The rest was only slightly better, but had definitely sat way too long in chaffing dishes at a 1pm brunch time. The staff was kind and attentive.

There was a fixed menu as it was New Year’s Eve, but if you had reservations before 8:00 pm, you could do the a la cart menu which happened to be the same as the fixed one, but each dish was individually priced. The main dishes were 65.00 each which I think it was excessive taking also into account that the portions were small. Lobster bisque was ok, the fish tasted fine , nothing amazing and the pear tarte was a big cookie with a piece of pear and a small scoop of ice cream. It was prett bad plus had nothing to do with a tart. Chocolate mousse was ok. Service was slow but good. Ambiance nice, but very overpriced for the amount and quality. I’ve been going there for 15 plus years and this is the first time we really didn’t enjoy it.

Had high hopes when I booked this back in early October. The event was far different than I envisioned. The food offerings were lame at best. The food was under attended. The turkey was mainly dark meat and very little white meat. The buffet area was not well attended, sloppy and messy. There were lack of clean plates and the staffing was not deployed properly. I gave very specific directions to make this a special day for a very specific reason. This was confirmed via a text I received. This request was never attempted while I was there. There was nothing special at all. The ambiance was not good. The place is beat down, tired, old and appears extremely dirty under all that old worn out furniture. We were a couple and surrounded by groups of people at all tables. It wasn't special or welcoming for a couple. I was extremely disappointed by the meal, ambiance and overall staffing and food. It was the worst Thanksgiving I've ever experienced. Sorry I wasted my only opportunity to have a final "special" Thanksgiving with my Wife.

We were there thanksgiving for a 1pm reservation. There were still people prior to ours waiting to be seated. The food for 60$+++ per person was not even worth $20.Food was cold. The rolls were freshly made though. But eggs and pancakes for thanksgiving?? Desserts suck. The ambiance was not as expected. Tight spaces. People and servers passing thru hits our arms and shoulders while we were eating. People stood in walkways chatting like they were the only ones in there. Never gonna go back there even on regular days.

I can’t say enough good things about the Post Oak Grill. The ambiance is beautiful and elegant. The menu is exceptionally good and very well-priced. I don’t know of another place in town that feels so upscale with such moderate prices. The service has been outstanding every time we have been there. At lunchtime, it’s a hopping neighborhood spot for business lunches to take place. When we have gone there for dinner, it is not nearly as crowded and we almost feel like we have stumbled on a best kept secret. Whenever we go there with friends, they always comment on how nice it is to go somewhere where they don’t have to shout to be heard.

Post Oak Grill has clearly suffered over the last few years, likely COVID-related. The place was very quiet and they are clearly understaffed. Our waiter was new and although very nice and tried hard, needed some more time. Food was variable - excellent steak but overcooked lobster. Still a good place, but not what it once was. Hopefully they will recover in time.

Reception of the restaurant and bar were appreciated. The bar tender was very personable and attentive. The waiter was very accommodating allowing us to wait and sit at the table until we spent some time in the bar. The service and presentation was well done. The restaurant was relatively slow for dinner but I understand it is a more popular business lunch destination. The food was OK but not at the level I was expecting. The restaurant market in Houston is very competitive and for the same costs there are other really good choices.

We decided to do dinner at Post Oak Grill after almost 10 years. I was completely surprised by the food. Complement to the Chef.. every dish was delicious. The steak was among the top 5 in Houston. The service was on point. The mixed drinks were innovative and perfectly blended. Saving the best for the last... the live music made the evening! We will be back..

The female bartender was sent by management to be our server. Her demeanor and attitude were so hostile we were afraid our food might be contaminated. We left without even a sip of water. At departure we were asked why we were leaving so soon to which we replied only one word--"attitude". Management sent someone to stalk us in the parking garage. We will never return. We will never recommend.

Restaurant was busy but not overwhelmed. Service was attentive and friendly but not intrusive - just the right balance. The courses came out at the right intervals, making for a relaxed and pleasant experience. For our anniversary the dessert had lettering "happy anniversary" - a really nice touch and well done. All around an excellent evening.
