It was a nice causal place with many families. Food was good but very pricey. Who charges $12 for bread and $4 extra for herb butter? Portions are small. I understand it’s the Waldorf. We are staying here but its ambience is more like a nicer family burger place so who charges that much for bread because it’s homemade? The staff was very nice.

Local to Park City for 10 years. Have enjoyed Powder in the past but last night’s experience was abysmal. Spent $400 for 2 people. Asked staff to turn the lights down and were told they were working on it twice and it never happened. Ordered oysters, grilled octopus, lobster bisque, short ribs, chicken and chocolate dessert. Cannot say one glowing thing about any of these dishes. Oysters were sad, octopus was tender but bland. Not a lot of char. Bisque was boring. Short ribs were tough (needed a steak knife to cut) and smothered in a sweet sauce. Chicken was squishy and the oily. Chocolate dessert was blah. Ordered 3 glasses of wine between $18-$29/glass. Nothing special. Received all 3 appetizers at the same time. Sometimes I think just because of the resort location, restaurant owners can get away with mediocre - poor food and service … bums us out. Do better. $400 is egregious for that experience.

Service was absolutely terrible what little service we did get. Reservations were made well in advance but no table available and was sat at a high top table. Waitress which was also the bartender left mid service never told us. Our order was taken by the bartender yelling across the bar at our table - he did however comp our sorbet and did apologize

Look it is in the Waldorf. So it is pricey period! The setting is nice enough if you sit by the bar. The servers were polite. Meghan was our server and she was very nice. She comped us an amazing bread pudding for us to share because it truly was my birthday. By the way. I consider myself a head pudding snob. This bread pudding was incredible. The scallops were very good. I travel the world but I really cannot justify what they charge for most of the items. It is only because it is super convenient and nice for those staying at the Waldorf. That was not us. We were not staying there and I booked it for convenience the night we arrived in our airbnb.

Your site gave Pieder $$ but it is very much a $$$$ price point. A basic salad was $24. While the food was good is wasn’t worth the price tag.

We had bread and scallops for appetizers and both were really good, I would go back just for that. We had mixed greens salad that was fresh and nice but nothing to rave about. For our main course we had short rib that was nicely cooked and it was falling apart, polenta was nicely cooked and it was accompanied by boiled broccoli, but short rib was little too dry so it was sticky. For desert we ordered their bread pudding that sounded delicious on the menu but was just OK in taste.

Horrible. Ordered the New York strip, Mid Rare, which came out like rubber, and tasted microwaved. I sent it back and replacement simply never came. After 20 min, the party was done, I asked the manager and there was nothing. I decided to cancel the order and move on when they asked if we wanted dessert. All I wanted was my meal. This place was not good, do not waste your money or time. To top it off, it was my birthday. I will never go back.

Great food but bad service. I came with my son for brunch. Food was amazing but I just saw the waiter one time when he took our order. He bring us our drinks he didn’t even come to refill coffee. I also work for Hilton as a lead bartender. I don’t think this is the way to treat our guests.

Fantastic experience at Powder. We had breakfast and dinner here and both were wonderful. The food is excellent and so is the service. You can tell the chef puts a lot of thought into each dish. All dishes are cooked perfectly, well balanced and beautifully presented. Highly recommend the bison tartare and the bison tenderloin. Our server Shelby was attentive, knowledgeable and made the experience that much more incredible. We can’t wait to be back next time we’re in Park City!

My wife and I arrived to celebrate our 27yr anniversary with our 10 yr old joining us. We were seated quickly and gracefully. The server was young and kind. You know the type of server that has never eaten the food? The one where when you ask, “What do you recommend?” you get a response about what is popular with no personal knowledge of the food. I just expect more when I am paying for $75+ entrees. We asked the manager for recommendations for guidance. This was his third day. So, he also had no knowledge but went to ask the chef. Following the recommendations we had the bison tartar and scallops to start they were both great. Not good. Great! Then the wait began. We sat in a mostly empty restaurant for 40 minutes after we finished our appetizers to receive cold bison filet (not tartar) and cold polenta. We sent it back and it came back shrunk and lame as if it was microwaved. We were struggling. The third-day manager checked on us and we shared the story. He told us he would like us to experience the meal the way we should have. Minutes later we got a new entree and were impressed by the quality of it. It is correct that this is what we should have received, simply about an hour earlier. At this point we were just exhausted. We had waited so long to get such poorly prepared food, the specialness of the evening was ruined. We ordered dessert to go and the server told us that the bison entree and dessert would be on the house. This made me pleased given the late and cold, lame offering they had given us and the effort we had to deal with to get it right. However, when we got the bill, it included the entree. I asked why. I was told that they didn’t charge us for the second entree—the re-order. The one that the manager insisted on giving us was what we were not being charge for. I would hope not. In the end, we got free dessert and about an hour of wasted time on our anniversary. It was lame. This is not a restaurant worthy of a special occasion.

It's become customary for restaurants in Park City to charge extortionate prices, but at the bare minimum, the quality should exceed mediocre. Sadly this was not the case at Powder. Starters were in the $20s and main courses in the $40-100 range. For that price, one would expect something delicious. Sadly, this was not the case. Our lobster bisque arrived tepid, under-salted, and over-flavored with five-spice powder, and a meager portion of lobster. We had to ask twice for a salt shaker, and when it arrived, there was no salt in it. Our red velvet cake arrived as a generous portion, but the cake tasted as if it had been sitting in the refrigerator for days, stale, freezer-burnt, all for the privilege of $22 for the slice. The restaurant was full, indicating that resort skiers are looking for somewhere...anywhere to eat, but I daresay we felt poorer gastronomically and financially for the experience.

The restaurant got busier after we arrived. It became quite loud and that was disappointing/distracting. Since it was busy, service was a bit slow and not too attentive. 2 entrees were good but the other 2 had very small portion sizes. It was just "okay".

Honestly was disappointed. Booked and didn't know there was a "set menu". The price was, in my opinion, over the top for the food we got. We waited over 30 minutes for someone to take our order and the sommelier wasn't available because they were too busy-which didn't feel like that were that busy. The pear salad was very bitter, very little flavor. Their egg/caviar appetizer was not good....all 6 of us pushed it to the side. I will not return. Beef wellington and dessert were the only good items. Overall GOOD. Don't get me wrong, but for the price I paid, very disappointed in service and food quality.

Having lived and consumed in high end Chicago restaurants, I found this restaurant to be a wannabe: high end prices and underwhelming fare. There are no deals in Park City and we were willing to splurge for a nice meal but were disappointed. Halibut overcooked and was almost like jerky. $62 short rib was fine. Wine menu very good and service was very attentive (Shelby). Kids meals were reasonably priced and sized.

We were disappointed to be sitting at a bar table on bar stools without back support and facing a blank wall when it’s such a pretty restaurant , understand it’s holiday week but if I had a choice we would have gone to another restaurant. Manager made it right and food was excellent.
