Service was prompt, but we did not feel rushed. Server was knowledgable and made good recommendations. The view was amazing and ever-changing. The restaurant was quiet. Dessert was complimentary for a birthday celebration.
We had two birthdays in the family and chose Prairie 360 as we were looking for a different experience. We had been to this restaurant over ten years ago for lunch and thought it was time to go again. The outdoor glass elevator is worth taking on the way up and the ambience and view were both memorable and enjoyed by our group of 8. We all enjoyed our meals choosing the salmon, steak and thai bowls and both birthday desserts offered. They took care of our parkade tickets as well. All in all a very pleasant and warm reception and experience. We went for the experience, the food and view and were not disappointed. A must-do for anyone looking for an enjoyable, warm and relaxed atmosphere or for a special occasion. This really is one of Winnipeg's best kept secrets.
The pork tenderloin was excellent, as was the In the Sky Canard, however the mashed vegetable that accompanied the duck had a strange texture. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was perfect for a date. The view is great for any time of day, even at night.
It was very disappointing!
The food was cold, the platters were empty and staff would not replenish them. There was no milk!!! ( this was a brunch!!) The desserts were dry and stale and definitely store- bought! The staff could not even tell us if they were peanut free!!
It was embarrassing as we had guests from Europe.
Would NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRUNCH TO ANYONE!
The view was great, obviously, but the food was good and the people were friendly!
We started with a Caesar salad, which was good. My wife had the duck and I had the striploin. Both dishes we cooked well, we just felt they were very mediocre, and the whole meal to be very expensive. The decor was outdated looking, and the restaurant was empty for 7:30 on a Friday evening. I'd rather have great food, with the view as an added bonus. It seems you're paying for the view, and the food is just secondary.
Great atmosphere, wonderful service but the food menu a little disappointing. Pasta dish was vey spicy, not enjoyable and the Greek salad was not what was expected. Sorry, but very disappointing.
Place was beautiful with the scenery and considering the rotation of the setting felt like so mind blowing that the view was worth going there! Food was decent in a way we wish our portions were bigger, but overall it was so delicious that I’d like to go back and try something else! Our server was really helpful and really accommodating.
We used to love Prairie 360. We came for my birthday / thanksgiving amd all three of us did not like our meals. The turkey was rubbery, the steak with purée was like soup and the lamb dinner was more like an appetizer. The lobster was good.
I was embarrassed that I raved about it and brought my Mother with us. Unfortunately the new menu is a significant down grade, it’s too bad. Regrettably we won’t be back. We still gave the server a 16% tip, it wasn’t his fault and he was good.
Thanks for asking for feedback, I think it’s fair to be honest. We never mind paying $200 for dinner if it’s worth it.
We took a close family friend and our granddaughter for the long-weekend Sunday brunch Thanksgiving buffet. Everyone agreed, the food is good, nothing amazing, which is our usual experience. But the view is always spectacular and today was a clear fall day, so we appreciated it. I wish there had been more than one choice of salad dressing, not just the dill-ranch, or whatever that was. We’ve found the breakfast sausages have a bit of a stale, freezer burnt taste. I was able to find pepper at the carving station but no salt, although I never asked our server. Highlights include, very good coffee, the shrimp and smoked salmon are always popular with us. The roast beef is cooked to a nice medium rare, although it’s never very warm ( that’s hard to do at a buffet I think and I prefer colder medium rare to warm well-done, any day).
We’re planning to keep coming back every once in awhile. The food is fine, the staff and service is always friendly, and the view can’t be beat, if you’re into that sort of thing. Make sure you ride the glass exterior elevator from the main floor to the 28th. Then take the interior elevator to the 30th. We were disappointed the exterior elevator was not in service for our exit ride down.
We booked our table a week before for my wife’s birthday and was so excited to dine. We waited for 40 minutes for the food to arrive and unfortunately they were wrong with my dad’s order. The food are not that terrible but the serving is so small. The ambiance is fantastic but the food was not that great. Vegies are not fresh, terrible service . We won’t recommend it as it is pricy and not worth it. Nothing is special aside from dining 30 floors up.
My wife and I came for our anniversary. Our server Cassandra was very kind and provided great service. The atmosphere was quiet, and made it easy to enjoy our dinner. The food came out in good time, and everything we had was delicious. Thank you.
The food is good but not outstanding; the reason to go is the view. It’s probably a more interesting experience for locals because you are bound to see many neighbourhoods and parts of the city you are familiar with. The view of the Museum for Human Rights and Forks area is likely of particular interest for visitors to Winnipeg.
The view is amazing and the service is very good. The collective Steak is wonderful except the side sauce that is very vinegary., same as the coleslaw of the chicken. The chicken is so so. It was kind of dry and no taste. We hope to see more on the menu list for a lot of selections like pasta and other meat selections.
Very difficult to get to. Once there very nice. Felt like amazing race to find it.
Went for our anniversary, started off well with good drinks and a tasty starter, we got the Elote which tasted very good however maybe a little bit too much goat cheese but still delicious. Then it got bad. My husband and I both ordered a steak dinner. Him the $50 14oz ribeye and myself a $45 12oz NY strip. What we got were the thinnest pieces of steak I’ve ever received and both were wildly over cooked, over seasoned and excessively charred. Mine also was not trimmed well as I got a mouthful of silver skin. Always lovely having to spit out food because you can’t physically chew it in what’s supposed to be a nice restaurant. The potatoes were dry and flavourless and the veggies were undercooked. Told our server and she seemed annoyed with us, yet at the same time seemed used to it. Sent it back and we both ordered the $33 spaghetti and meatballs instead because we didn’t trust them with grilled food anymore. Meatballs were definitely frozen before, as they were dry and bland. Pasta was drowning in sauce with too much of some sort of seasoning that made it have a bit of spice but added no real flavour. Overall we were very disappointed. The view was spectacular but the carpets were dirty, looked like water damage around some of the windows and the wall paneling by my husbands arm was falling off. They kept the lights up pretty bright so seeing outside when it got really dark was difficult and the speakers have obviously been blown as the music quality was terrible. Didn’t get any kind of discount from the terrible food, no offering of a free dessert and no real apologies either, just didn’t have to pay for the steaks. $145 for bad food, poor environment, and mediocre service? Not worth it. Save your money.
We had a fabulous time, thank you. We had a beautiful day, so good views. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, which is something very important to me as on occasions staff in other restaurants are very condescending. Very down putting in my opinion. I had a friend visiting from overseas, so it was the perfect choice. Food was great, great choices and you served a decent cup of coffee. Thank you very much. I will recommend you. I wasent sure about the noise level question, but everything was perfect.
Went for the brunch. Unfortunately did not have sugar free syrup, nor did they have salt & pepper on the table.
My out of town guests were impressed. They had heard so many negative comments about Winnipeg. They did not know a revolving restaurant existed here and helped to change their outlook of Wpg. They enjoyed the food and service also.
I booked a reservation online and they asked what the occasion was. It happened to be our anniversary but it was never mentioned to us when we arrived. Why bother asking if it means nothing anyways. We were sat at our table quickly which was nice. The table was bare with two glasses on it. When our server arrived he had asked a staff member to prepare our table. I would have preferred to have waited a few moments before seating to arrive to a prepared table. We ordered a bottle of wine and the Grand beach platter which contains clams, shrimp, mussels, lobster, chorizo, corn, and fingerling potatoes. I don’t know about you but I think lobster is best with some melted butter. But I guess that was not available. I did have some butter remaining from the bread we had to start so I put that on the lobster. Although the food was not warm enough to melt it. Oh well.
The view was the best part and why we chose this location in the first place. I feel there is so much more potential for this restaurant to be great. Maybe that is why I felt let down.
My wife and I still enjoyed our night. We tried something new and had some time to ourselves with our little one.
Ps. Our server actually did a great job and without him I don’t think this review would have been written the same.
The server was pleasant, but he just seemed a bit off. There were a few things that were unavailable on the menu and he informed us in sort of an awkward way. The food was okay, but nothing amazing. The manager greeted us with a somewhat aloof manner and I didn't see him smile once all night long.
The view is wonderful.
Entertaining visitors to Winnipeg /Manitoba and this is the perfect place to view our beautiful city. Menu has good variety. Food was ok but it was later on a Sunday and am sure that had an effect. Service was very good. Would definitely return.
They had meat carving station located away from other food but right beside the deserts.. ...a bit odd. No salt or pepper had to find waitress then wait...food cold by then.
Waitress was nice enough and good at her job just didn't like the salt and pepper thing.
we waited over 1 hour for our food, it also came out cold , plate sizes are small and over priced ,the only good experience was the view of the city
Arrived a few mins early for our reservation. Ordered Korean fried chicken half order, lamb and a tenderloin dish. Food took over 1 hr to arrive. Waitress only when asked mentioned their was a large group that was the cause of the delay. Lamb was tasteless, room temp and veggies cold. Fried chicken skin was not crispy. We were wondering is this really fried?. Dessert was un impressive. All in all a baf experience that was over priced. I would not come back only for drinks.
You come for the view, not the food.
I had a rib eye steak and I paid $50, argh. It was not worth the money. Flat and cold; it was a bit tender though so I ate it. It was supposed to come with mashed potato, but came with small cold potatoes. I also ordered the peppercorn sauce which of course, was cold too. And it was the wierdest peppercorn sauce, white/yellowish with two small peppers in it.
My wife had the duck and she actually enjoyed it though it was a bit cold too. I know the food has to be prepped downstairs, but come on: on a plane, 30000 feet above ground they can serve a hot meal.
You have to do better.
Great views, good service, we had the skillet and felt it could use more flavour.
Good food and service with a stunning 360 degree view of greater Winnipeg
I was very excited for my nite at Prairie 360 but was very discouraged by the menu upon arrrival. Several selections were sold out and everything from the appetizer to the dinner meal was average or below average.
The plates lacked any appeal at all and taste was average at best.
I would auggest the chef look at updating the dinner selection.
I will be attempting to come back for lunch and see if its any more appealing
Sorry for the subpar review but overall i was disappointed
This was the 1st time I have taken advantage of the brunch, but 3rd time I have been to Prarie 360. Each time has been a wonderful visit with great food and wonderful service.
We were sooo disappointed with our latest visit. We have been here on several occasions & were always pleased. Not so this time!
1) we brought our daughter & SIL for their 10th Wedding Anniversary ..the Restaurant & our Server were aware but the occasion was not recognized despite us seeing many desserts bearing Sparklers to mark celebrations at other tables
2) we ordered Appetizers & had to ask for cutlery
3) 3 guests ordered Lobster & again, we had to ask for Lemon & melted butter!
4) one guest ordered the 4oz Tenderloin & it came swimming in the Purée ..and since the Server had taken our side plates away & not replaced then, there was no place to be rid of all the purée.
Such a huge disappointment..expected more from Prairie 360 and a $400 Dinner.
Returned to celebrate our son's 20th birthday. Had visited Prairie 360 in March for our anniversary & had a great experience so thought we'd try it again. Sadly, it did not compare to our visit in March. Although, I had noted that we were celebrating a birthday, there was no acknowledgement of the occasion. I heard our server asking folks behind us if they were celebrating a special day but did not ask us or offer a birthday dessert. We ordered the charcuterie board as an appy as we loved it previously. This time, the selection wasn't as good/diverse & the toasted baguettes were rock hard. For dinner, my husband ordered a NY Steak. It did not look like the right cut and had so much gristle! My son ordered the duck & was happy with it. I shared the Grand Beach platter with my younger son. It was humongous! Some of the shellfish was quite overcooked but a dish this large would be hard to get it a consistent temp, I imagine. It was much too spicy for me but it seemed to be parts of the dish where the seasoning was heavier than others (you could visibly see it). All 4 of us ordered dessert. It was very good. The sugar coating on the creme brule was a little too thick but otherwise very good. It was a nice time but I wish the experience was as nice as our first time; down to the quality of the food & to the attention of the staff. The waitress was nice & refilled the water often but attention to our special occasion would have made all the difference. For spending over $300 (including a good tip), I expect a higher quality experience.
My experience was fair, it felt like my waiter needed to spend more time explaining the dishes and options. After ordering we found out after there was kids menus where our kids could actually order from.
The service was awesome and the foods were great. The most attractive thing was to watch the city like from the sky. One complete round takes about one hour. We watched the views from daylight to the dark. It was amazing!
The negative thing was hard to find the way to get back to the parkade after the meal.
Of course, great views of Winnipeg. The food, however, was very well executed, flavorful, and of a much higher quality than would be expected for the price. In other words, great value for excellent food.
Great view and good food! Plan on staying a while to get in the sunset in fall time. Spectacular view of the city. Excellent ribeye! Done to perfection. Plus they cover your parking as a bonus. We don't do alcohol so their non-alcoholic beverages are worth checking out. Cheesecake is tops!
Terrific service, good selection of menu items, fresh ingredients, and unparallelled view of Winnipeg. Prairie 360 is one of my regular go to restaurant destinations.
The service was excellent, the food good (the pastries were overbaked and dry), the cups dirty. Our server explained they had changed the dish detergent or something of that nature. They need to go back to what they had before, because all four cups on our table were dirty.
I couldn’t understand how my 10 month old was charged in $3.75, even if she ate nothing.
No explanation provided, I had to discount the service fee.
Took us a while to figure out the elevators to get there! Could not take elevator up from parking level, had to go through main concourse.
Unfortunately, it doesnt matter what you do a buffet never has food that is kept as hot as it should be.
