Prairie 360 Restaurant & Lounge
Very disappointed in the food and lack of Christmas decorations. It could have been any day of the week and not 2 1/2 weeks to Christmas. It was also ridiculous to charge a 18% gratuity for a table of 7 people when the only “service” was to bring coffee to the table and some glasses of wine. We helped ourselves to the buffet so perhaps we should have gotten a gratuity for that!
The only saving grace was the view.
Very sad for a restaurant that could have so much potential.
The food was cold bacon was ice cold. The roast beef had one choice rare. The selection was good but inedible as it was so cold. Service was poor dropped my fork and asked for a replacement twice ended up finishing my meal with my spoon. Slow at cleaning dirty dishes and serving coffee. The view was lovely and cold buffet portion was very good.
The food was good. Expensive. However waiter was all over our head every 2-3 minutes asking if we done with a plate to take it away
Few times they succeeded to take a plate from one of our group
But when she tried to take away our kids plates I finally asked her to leave us alone and let us enjoy our time
Management should teach waiters to give their customers some time for themselves
Next time I will take my friends to other place where they let customers stay as much as they want enjoying food and talking to each other without being interrupted every 2 minutes
Very beautiful view, Great for special occasions and food was tasty!
I went with my spouse and a friend and we had a pleasant experience! Thank you
I’ll give a full review of what we noticed while here.
The service was not good. In a place like this that is suppose to be more “classy” I think seasoned staff members would be better than young ones who don’t have the skills to do their job. Our server was barely there and when i asked another very young server who checked on us, for assistance she told me to ask my server rather then inform my server we needed assistance. Our meals were nearly done before we were asked how they were. We had to ask for the basics for our coffees (sugar, no spoons to stir etc). I had to go up to the bar to get milk for our coffee after waiting a significant time. Almost fell down the stairs because I used the hand rail (being pregnant and all) the handrail was broken and I almost fell down the stairs. There was one good staff member who was helpful. She must have been there for a lot longer then the others and was older then the rest and was very professional.
Staff should just treat their customers like they are someone important rather than we are at Tim Hortons. The couple next to us didn’t have their drink orders taken for at least 20 minutes after they were seated. Service hasn’t changed much since last time I was here. Immature staff. Not personable. Don’t really seem to care about their customers.
I also noticed they leave their pepper mill on the random hand rail which was super odd rather then at a serving station. And it seems like a dirty location for it to be left.
The food on the other hand was awesome! As was the cappuccino and coffee. The food has improved significantly from the previous menu they had. If the ambiance and staff was better I’d recommend this place in a heart beat.
The windows and rail along the windows were dirty. And there was some sort of broken thermostat on the rail which should really get fixed or hidden.
There’s lots of potential here but I think a training session is needed and staff needs to picked a lot better.
The view was amazing but the spinning induced a bit of vertigo, but it was easily overlooked. The quality of the Food was fantastic; we had the blackened pickerel, a side of sweet potatoes with added chicken breast, an appetizer of chorizo and Gouda, with a white chocolate raspberry mousse for dessert. The value is the main downfall- the portions are small, and it’s hard to justify the price. All in all it was a nice experience but likely to be a once a lifetime type.
It was our first time visiting this restaurant, the place was amazing, beautiful view, great service, nice music, clean place, but food is average and a little bit pricey.
Wonderful service and excellent meal! It was our 48th anniversary, tried the restaurant, thoroughly enjoyed our experience
It's an amazing experience to have a brunch with the view of the city within the restaurant. However, the service has been better before.
Generally a nice place to dine with friends and family. I have always loved the tranquility I get whilst up there...great place....keep up the good work.
Great view of the city. My wife was unable to get what she wanted as they were out of it at 6:30 on a Saturday. When you have a small menu, which I like, you should not run out of things. Overall we did have a good evening and did enjoy the food we got.
Not a bad experience, just was not anything to rave over.
There was only one waitress for the whole restaurant which was a little concerning... but she did a good job all things considering.
The food was decent, however, the organization / presentation of their new menu was not pleasing to read.
Scallops were way over done, but cauliflower mash was excellent underneath. Tuna was nice in the tuna tartar but the sauce was a bit off for the dish.
ALSO the revolve is SUPER loud. They need music playing.
It was probably one of the best meals and beautiful sites sitting around the table watching outside really enjoyed it we will be back we’re in a try the lunch one so we can see it around the city like that thank you for the great service it was amazing Deb
Food was quite good. Served quickly and in unison. Our server was very patient as we were trying to catch up with old friends. She was very knowledgable about the menu items and their taste and spice profiles. Great view of course.
It was amazing my steak was awesome I would definitely recommend prairie 360..
Atmosphere and view was great. Unfortunately, food was over seasoned, too much salt.
Great atmosphere. Quickly got in, and service was very fast!
Had the Chicken sandwich. It was very good
service was good but took forever for the food to come out, food tasted good but not many options and expensive, confusing to get to from parkade.
We met for an early dinner so we could show our visitor the city during day light and after dark. The view is amazing.
Our server was kind and competent.
Now the criticism- it took a longtime to get to the restaurant. The elevator is shared with the residents of the apartments. Not good. A huge negative. Our food order took a long time to come- we were one of the first groups in the restaurant. When my steak arrived- it was luke warm. I would have sent it back in any other restaurant. I was afraid if I sent it back that we would never leave. The stark was too charred on edges.
I won’t ever go for dinner again. I will take visitors for lunch.
The revolving restaurant has always been one of our favorites for the view. Finally the food has caught up to the view in quality.
Flavorful food, great service.
Prairie 360 is an excellent restaurant that combines good food, excellent service and a unique ambiance/environment (revolving restaurant 30 floors up overlooking Winnipeg and area). The Sunday buffet includes an omelette station, salad bar, hot entrees and a carvery area with prime rib/ham and dessert station. While this may seem traditional fare, it is worth noting that Prairie 360 includes coffee or tea, smoked salmon, XL shrimp, charcuterie, chicken skewers, meatballs, fresh fruit including blueberries and blackberries along with melon and strawberries plus veggies such as edamame. The desserts included Nutella pinwheels and chocolate tarts. For any occasion, this restaurant is a fine choice. Parking is complimentary!
Too pricey for what it offers, I was expecting a better variety of fruits and food.
Amazing food!!!
Good for a one time experience. Didn’t get to go up the glass elevator as they’re doing construction. Sadly got seated with a super loud chatty person right behind us when the restaurant was genuinely empty. Food was very expensive as to be expected, but ‘vegetable’ was just zucchini. Which is a very acquired taste in my opinion. Wouldn’t be my choice on a menu as a side dish. Steak also had a lot of fat and gristle.
Server was friendly and attentive. View was lovely. Wish the food was better especially for the price.
Except for the price, we enjoyed the food and the ambience. Good for special occasions.
The food is underwhelming for the price.
And would be nice to hear the music as well.
While the food was ok, it was horribly overpriced for what you received. I spent over $100 on dinner and we had to pick up a pizza on the way home because we were all still hungry!
Our dinner (Chateaubriand) was great, but slightly under cooked, overpriced and my husband felt like the serving was small. Our dessert (mirror glaze cake) was disappointing, it tasted like it had been in the fridge for awhile, and was crumbly. Not moist at all. The servers were attentive, but not seem happy. I did enjoy the experience but probably won't be back because of the prices and small serving.
Excellent service and atmosphere, food was the best we had, perfectly done steaks, great views of the city lights in the evening, awesome experience
Our waitress was a little rude, my steak and potatoes were burnt. The only good thing about this place anymore is the view. That would be the only reason I’d recommend it to someone.
Amazing food and amazing staff! Thank you so much for accommodating our group so quick!
We enjoyed our visit to the Prairie 360 Restaurant. It was a special occasion to us. Our niece had been in Manitoba visiting family and 360 was a great final thing to do before she headed home.
Birthday for my mom. She loved the spaghetti and the view!
You need to redesign the place. The decor is outdated.
With a better layout the ambiance would be better
Not what I expected, I haven't dined here since it became the prairie 360. It still has a dated 80s vibe, felt like I was sitting at Perkins, except with lousier more expensive food. The view was about all it had going for it. Our waitress was really nice and accommodating but the food was really really lousy. I ordered the pickerel and and it was icy cold on a bed of icy cold rice with a tasteless cream sauce. Kinda what I envisioned would be served at Oliver Twist type boarding schools in England in the 1800s. Flavourless, mushy and cold. Also the fish had a slightly offish taste like it had been frozen and thawed badly. I couldn't finish it. My husband had the salmon and it was all right. He told them that I didn't like the food so they gave us a free dessert which was kind. It looked cool, but had all the taste and feel of a rubber sponge.
Very nice place location for pictures. Food was excellent but very small portion. It reminds me of Paris...
Only Good part about Prairie 360 is the view, service is slow, Food quality is fine but quantity is small. Super noisy.
