Prairie 360 Restaurant & Lounge
I thought the New York steak had flavor, but the cut had substantial fat and gristle. I've had a lot better steaks. Good veggies though. The cocktail with white run, marascino sauce, red wine (name) tasted mostly like wine with ice. I didn't think it was worth finishing. I tasted my girlfriend's salmon. That was good!
Overall we had a great time. The service was great, soup, main course, and drinks were wonderful full of flavour meat was tender. Only reason for a 4 star not a 5. The apple pie was terrible definitely not worth $12. It was over cooked we could not cut it not even with a knife very chewy only had 1 apple in it. For $12 I expected a $12 desert. I would definitely go back but without desert.
Enjoyed our meal and service , waiter was great food was great!
Strange taste in the meatballs. Noodles way over done, nearly mushy. Greek salad very bland with strange combination of foods in it. The meals were way overpriced for the poor quality we received. Will not go back for dinner menu.
The food was filled with sodium to where I could not eat it.
This wasn’t our first visit but our worst visit. We brought our kids, clearly our waiter did not like children. Very sarcastic and did not make us feel welcome with children even tho we booked for 5pm ( an appropriate time to bring children to restaurants). The food wasn’t great either. Food was bland and greasy. We will not be coming back.
Very enjoyable experience, staff were friendly and helpful.
Food cold i hate cold food
12 dollars for a cocktail is little ridicolous
My first time at Prairie 360, enjoyed every minute there. The view and the food were super good and will definitely go back.
Food for value was not there. I like steak with good side dishes. Side dishes like squash for steak not paired well. A side salad would be more appropriate. Missed the potato. The ambiance and the service was great. Not a great place to take teenagers.
View was amazing. Service good. Ordered $50 rib eye. Not a good steak for the price charged, not comparable quality and preparation compared to other steak restaurants in the city.
Great to try once for the view, but won’t be back due to the food price for the quality provided.
We booked New Years Eve so we could watch the Fireworks at The Forks. We knew it wasn't a guarantee that our seating would be in that direction but it was very disappointing when they stopped the restaurant from turning so the people who were directly in line with the fireworks could watch them all. We did get out of our seats along with the other people in the restaurant to go and see them but I felt like I was interrupting the people who were seated at their table directly across from the Fireworks. Our dinner was good except for the mail course and the dessert. My husband had the seafood linguini which was something I was going to order but I thought I would order something different so we could both try each others which we do often. The pasta sauce was overwhelmingly powerful with garlic. To the point it was not edible. Neither of us finished our main courses. I had the Beef Shank and it was extremely salty. To the point where we did not finish that either. When the dessert came I expected a trifle like all the other trifles I have had in my lifetime which would be rich and creamy with whipping cream. Instead I got cake with a dollop of whipping cream and some strawberries. Just a disappointment in the lack of whipping cream in the dessert. It was basically a cup full of cake.
I will try the restaurant again so I can experience the regular menu. When we booked it in September we were not told there would be a change of menu. We were only informed shortly before December 31st. Knowing it was a special occasion we still went but the cost then doubled if not more, for our dinners. Originally were were going for the duck. Our bill came to $178.00 which is a far cry from what it would have been any other night.
Our server was wonderful and the ambiance was also very nice. We will definitely return but since you asked for our opinion this is what I have to say. Thank you for taking the time to send this to me, and for reading my response.
I was our Wedding Anniversary, we had a great view of the New Years Eave fireworks, and enjoyed great food, and drinks. Very nice.
A wonderful place to go for New Years Eve! Would definitely book again.
The servers were incredible. The view unforgettable and the food extremely creative.
Nice experience and my children are so excited seeing the entire city at just a sitting.
It was a wonderful night having a dinner with friend.
Sunday brunch is buffet style with plenty of offerings. The views and Service were outstanding, but food was dry and not what I had expected. I still loved the experience!
Not sure why there was a holiday price charge for the Sunday brunch, it was very pricey for a family. I do not believe I saw this extra charge when I booked the reservation weeks before. Also the mandatory gratuity of 18 % for a buffet was also steep. We also missing the craving station until it came around. The food and service were very good but judging by the mostly empty restaurant perhaps the price is a problem.
All good except the carving beef, it was raw and in bad conditions.
My advice to the restaurant is to check the food before serving to people.
Also, it's very expensive based on the food served.
It's fun to see the city at night in the winter. But honestly, for dinner anyway, we did not feel that the food is in line with the pricing.
Not a terrible time at prairie 360 however I went in with higher expectations as they want to call the restaurant "fine dining". Let's start with the server who was who was very scarce at the beginning of the night , however I felt rushed to pay as she immediately brought the machine and the bill as soon as we said no to dessert, I has not even finished my wine. Food was alright everything was just warm so you had to eat is quickly before it got cold.. The women's washroom had 2 stalls, one of which had no toilet paper and the other didn't flush properly... I know I won't be back as there are many other restaurants in the city with better food, service and ambiance. In my honest opinion, don't go unless you REALLY want an overview of the city.
Went here for a Christmas dinner with coworkers. All of our plates came to us lukewarm. My steak had hair hidden underneath it. When I informed our waiter, he questioned me, “So you want me to replace it?!” I looked at him and said, “Well, yes, of course.”
When my second steak came out, it was lukewarm again, and was tasteless. The waiter came back to me and said “It’s good now, right?”... and walked away before I could even answer. BOTH THE FOOD AND SERVICE WERE VERY POOR.
At the end of our dinner, the waiter brought us our bills and literally threw candy at our tables (some fell on the floor) saying “Candy first”. Very unprofessional. And to our surprise, they automatically added his 15% tip to our bills!!! Don’t get me wrong, my coworkers and are tippers of good service, but the service at Prairie 360 was very poor.
With that said, no sorries were received from the waiter and no management came to our table to apologize for the hair that was found in my plate and the lukewarm food.
Yes, the ambience of dining on top of the world is appealing. But the food was VERY OVERPRICED for what you get, and the service was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
For those looking for great food and great service, I’d recommend 529 or Hy’s, which are consistently excellent!!
Very good experience...great view, good food and excellent service. Would highly recommend it.
It was our first visit here for me and my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary, the place was nice as most would assume. Service was mediocre. I believe our waitress might've been new. Overall it was okay. Food tastes delicious my steak was cooked perfect. Only comment for the food is the portion size of the salmon I understand seafood is a tad bit more pricey and usually never served in bigger portions. But the portion that was served just didn't seem worth it for what the price is. Overall a decent experience and food was delicious. Hopefully with much better service next time. Remember doesn't mean we're young we won't tip good. Some of us either does work or has worked in the industry and understands the concept of tipping. Good service and the tips will come in. We'll be back soon.
First of all, the waitress kept hounding us to see if we were ready to order. The noise from large groups around us was almost too loud to have a conversation.
The lobster was not cooked properly (thankfully taken off the bill)
The brochetta was $13 for a couple of tiny slices of bread. My $40 steak must have been previously freezer burnt because it was very grainy textured, two tiny potatoes cut in half and two slices of quartered zucchini? Seriously? My bill was $115 and I still needed to eat afterwards.
I have spoken to and will continue to share this awful experience with my friends and acquaintances. Winnipeg would be better served if a McDonald’s was opened up in there.
The view as before is great. I was dissapointed with the chairs not very comfortable. The ambiance bnot the best . Huge lights that glare in the reflections of the windows. I was dissapointed with the service. Not fine dinning service. Sat there for a long time. Drinks came late our table kept piling up of dirty dishes. They need to train staff for fine dining. Please don't hire students. I don't mind paying but also expect great service.
Prairie 360 provides a wonderful view of the city of Winnipeg from the 30th floor. The lunch time menu offers several options of casual meals at reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend Prairie 360 to anyone who wants a unique atmosphere for a lunch time meal.
We were disappointed with the drab ambiance.. inside...but,it was nice to look outside while revolving ... the woman’s washroom was in poor repair.. door all scratched and there was no paper towels.. I reported this twice but still not taken care of!... very over priced $17. For a chicken burger.. the soup was quite good..... overall we were very disappointed... would not recommend
The ambiance was definitely spectacular, but one thing I would like to stress out that needs improvement:
We waited more or less 35 minutes for the main course and the desserts took a long time, timed it around 35 minutes as well. The strawberry shortcake was dry, with no presentation, no plating. I have dined other restaurants with shorter serving time for desserts with good plating/ presentations.
Very pleasant restaurant for lunch. Great service and fantastic view of the city.
We came for brunch at 1:00. There was lots of selection, however the “hot” selections were somewhat warm. Brunch ends at 2:00pm so the food should still be hot considering it isn’t a cheap place for brunch. I guess you pay for the views. The service was top notch as always, however will not be back for brunch.
Food was barely warm, almost cold. Service was good and view was good also
we came here for my mother in law's 65th bday. she really enjoyed the food and service. the view is also fantastic!
Very grissly 12 oz NY steak, left about 1/3 behind on plate, mentioned to server, she said oh can I get you something else. Manager/kitchen manager did not stop by to do quality check on dissatisfaction. Nothing compted, not even a drink for a $45 steak that was subpar. Dissapointed as it was a birthday outting.
The view is outstanding and the setting is sublime. If only the food measured up to the rest of the dining experience. Sadly, it just doesn't.
Ambience is exceptional, especially late night when the city lights up.
The service was great but the menu is limited and very expensive!
It’s a little dated and would not qualify as fine dining even though the menu prices imply that.
I enjoyed the view and as a one time visit was ok but don’t feel the value was there.
As always, good food, great service and phenomenal views
I only tried there brunch, its ok not worth the price though, the food should be level as the place but the view is stunning
