Very good food and service. Appetizer serving size insufficient, in particular the Calamari. Mains were good serving sizes. Not at all busy on a Saturday night. Seems to be a bit of a hidden gem.

Business/pleasure trip with my wife. We were tired and hungry after a work day and reservations at our usual restaurant board available for a couple of hours. We decided to head for Prestons downstairs in our hotel. Terrific decision! Wait staff are all wonderful, and the food was spectacular. We were a little worried about the atmosphere at first, based on the daytime photos, but it turned out to be very pleasant in the evening. loved it so much, we came back for breakfast!

The ravioli was to have a butter sauce, but it had a water sauce. The salmon was over cooked. The crabcakes were average. The cocktails were good. There was some good tables, but the host wanted to seat us in the worst table until I pointed out there was a good table, it seems like they need help to design the menu. There was a lot of food left on a lot of peoples plates.

Our reservation was made at Preston's due to convenience since we were staying in the hotel; however my wife and I were left feeling our experience for a special Christmas Day dinner was underwhelming. The atmosphere was bland with a tiny little Poinsettia sitting on a large table that was pretty much dead with brown leaves on the table; we also felt the lighting was too bright for a dinner atmosphere. I tried to order an alcoholic beverage before dinner and was told I had to order a drink that was on their drink list which was unusual. The garden salad option my wife and I chose was basically a Kale salad with a few cherry tomatoes in eat but the vinaigrette was excellent. My wife had the turkey and I had the ham option and both options was very good however when we asked our server a few simple questions about our dishes, she had to ask the chef and came back with a response that didn't answer our questions which we felt strange since this meal was the only option for dinner and for the server to not know that the turkey had mushrooms stuffed in it was unusual. My wife and I had one of each of the 2 dessert options; the parfait was basically bread cubes with a bit of fruit which was bland and the pear option was basically a muffin. Overall, we did not feel we got good value for the occasion.

Dear Gordo, Thank your for your detailed review. We do thrive on our success as we work hard in daily matter. Hardwork is paid back most of the times, but hearing out your story, doesn't make us proud at all and we will try to make it better that is a fact. Snowy days made the city to shut down basically, and a lot of sick calls from our staff which made us way understaffed, although we did try to give out 150% just to make everyone's occasion special. Sorry to hear that yours was not met

Convenient location near coal harbor, off the beaten path. Decent happy hour selections, tasty drinks and food. It appears to be slightly understaffed as we had one server practically serving most, if not all, tables in the main room. So service was a bit slow. Otherwise, still a good option to start your evening shenanigans in the city!

I don't know how this was 4 stars. There was nothing WRONG with it but it was totally unremarkable and honestly food and ambiance would have been better at a chain restaurant. Its a downstairs restaurant for a hotel- not a destination.

Thank you to the whole staff from hostess to our server, additional server offering a helping hand, manager who took care of us and made us feel welcomed with an 18 month old and kids, one of whom was greeted with a special dessert to help celebrate her birthday. Grateful to Preston's for being so accommodating for a larger group (we were 9 people) and being family-friendly.

Appreciate how our large party of 9 was handled, giving us ample room. Having an active 18 month old, some mobility issues and kids within the party we felt welcomed and respected. Cozy little restaurant. Great drinks! Great food! Not too many places that don’t charge for kids under 5 - an added bonus! Found Prestons years ago when my husband and I had a stay at the adjacent hotel. Dinner menu isn’t incredibly extensive but there is something there for everyone. Calamari is tender (unlike the calamari from most chain restaurants). Also tried the mussels in white wine sauce, delicious, although I have a strong preference for tomato-based sauces. Entrées were generously sized and steaks came au jus by default, which was a pleasant surprise. I’ve been to too many restaurants that serve dry steak, with no sauce options as add-ons. Daughter had Korean Brisket tacos (came as 3) which she hoovered (even after having calamari to start), noting that they were delicious. The two littles had fries and chicken nuggets (no heavy batter on these) off the kids menu. We had 3 options for gelato - mango, chocolate, vanilla. All were enjoyed. I had the Caramel Apple Vol Au Vent with vanilla gelato served atop. Who doesn’t love puff pastry? Cheers to the bar tender for the delicious raspberry mint mojito! Cheers to our server for taking excellent care of us!

This somewhat unassuming place was a delightful surprise. Not an extensive menu but a good variety of offerings, a very good bar and not overpriced. We were able to get in on a Saturday evening when other restaurants in the area were booked.

Reasonable hotel restaurant to be fair I came in late on a Sunday night just before closing so things were winding down. The crab cakes were nice and light. The seafood pasta could have used a bit more tomato.

We made a reservation to try out the dine out menu (looked yummy online!), but from the moment we arrived the experience felt ‘off’. The server who greeted and served us barely said two words and didn’t come to take our drink order for at least 5 minutes after we sat down (there was only one other table in the restaurant). The booths seem comfy but the overall ambience/music makes it feel more like a dentists office. We left after ordering one drink and an appetizer.

This was a fall back plan for a Christmas that like so many others had been sliced and diced by COVID. And it was great. The food was good, the prices not exorbitant and the service was attentive I and friendly. Although a home family Christmas was what we had all planned for and wanted, this ended up being fun and memorable in its own right. Thanks to all the staff that had to work Christmas.

We booked for a family Christmas lunch only to discover that the restaurant does not serve lunch. In addition, despite that they were aware of our booking they were clearly unprepared for us. The best they could offer was a mediocre breakfast menu to which they graciously added a few items (salads & soup) from their dinner menu. The service staff die the best they coulkd but we won't be back and our experience will be widely shared.

My daughter and I enjoyed their two main pasta dishes and shared them they were a perfect portion size and delicious. The host, server and manager were all actively serving the guests from entering the restaurant to ordering to checking in. There was ample parking street level, and it's very easy to access.
