Brilliant restaurant for lunch, and I am sure for dinner too (but have only been for lunch service). Great well-balanced menu which changes daily, lovely staff, wonderful understated setting, delicious food. Only thing is the ‘bigger’ dishes could be a touch bigger to reflect the price, but the smaller dishes are absolutely more than worth the tag.

The food was absolutely delicious! With an original menu and some very tasty natural wines, we loved it! Our server had great suggestions and the ambiance with candle was charming, we had a lovely dinner and evening.

We had a lovely early dinner out last night for my husband’s birthday. We were initially concerned about their shared table arrangement, but were so pleased with the little side by side seating with mirror arrangement in the corner by the window. Four shared plates was perfect for us - a bitter leaves and thinly sliced apple salad with slightly sweet cream/ yoghurt dressing was gorgeous. Also loved the spatchcocked Cornish hen which came last as a proper sized (filling) dish, with two citrusy fish dishes in between. A gorgeous Riesling from their specials menu board worked well with all dishes. The ambience is lovely in the former garage provides a quirky contrast with its residential setting on Petherton Road, a beautiful tree-lined street with central footpath area (covering the New River): The high level glazing in the sliding garage door configuration facing the street blocks the cars at lower level, providing nice daylight, shadows and views of the grand-scaled terraced houses which can be seen across the street through the autumn foliage.

I LOVE this place. I've been a frequent guest here for years. Not been for a while however had such an amazing evening celebrating our dear friend's birthday. The food, the ambience, the service, all outstanding. The one thing that annoys 'everyone', and has done for years, is the front door. It never shuts properly and there's always guests (and staff) running up and down to make sure it closes. As it's a draft in the restaurant over autumn, winter anyway can you please come up a with a solution for the door, as it really interrupts everyone's otherwise perfect evening. Thank you.

We had a lovely meal at Primeur. They were kind enough to accommodate 7 of us on a table for 6 as we had a last minute addition travelling in from abroad. We sampled most if the items on the menu and the overall quality was high.

Food really well made and delicious, as was the house wine we had. Although we were offered a 2:30 table booking online which was what I made, we were rushed to order a little due to being told the kitchen was closing, so maybe something to bear in mind both for the restaurant and diners to improve the experience.

This is a very busy and lively restaurant! The shared tables were arranged brilliantly and allowed those sharing the table privacy by very a cleverly arranged flower display and seating. The staff were all, without exception, delightful in every way; engaged , helpful, knowledgeable and incredibly efficient. The food was outstanding. We couldn't recommend Primeur highly enough. Thank you for a fabulous evening.

several sharing plates (maybe 5 or 6 for 2) with about a third new original choices the rest firm favourites. sometimes unusual combinations, but always delicious, packed with flavour, innovative, simple and always good value. great relaxed professional service, on a summer day doors open and the sun floods in. such a lovely experience. for 2 or better still big groups on a long table. one of my fav venues in london.

Had a wonderful experience at Primeur. The room is bright and airy, loved the communal style table and also the ease of looking at a blackboard for the daily menu and wines by the glass. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was so varied and every dish was delicious, particularly the salami, the cavaletti and the piri piri pouisson. Will definitely be returning and have already told a few friends they must visit too. Thanks to the team.

Small & cute venue, cosy atmosphere, nicely prepared plates to share, a good selection of wines and very friendly service. The menu that was up during our visit didn’t feature a lot of vegetarian options (which we were sort of craving with the hot weather), but the meat and fish options we had instead were really good. Would defo come back & recommend ! There’s a fixed service charge - if you want to tip the staff (and not the restaurant), bring cash.

Unfortunate to be served such heavy dishes in the middle of the summer when there is so much fresh products available. Chorizo, fried potatoes, cheese...even the trout, which was cooked to perfection, was bathing in two inches of oil.
