   Went for brunch on Saturday and food was good, but service was poor. Took about 20 min to get coffee then another 40 min for food. Coffee was cold too. Nice restaurant and good patio set up though.

   We had a nice time at Proof kitchen and lounge. The strawberry fields mocktail was outstanding. However, the food and service was not as amazing as I remember it being. We had the fish and chips and the mushroom ravioli. The fish and chips was good, but nothing spectacular for the price. The mushroom ravioli was good but small portion. Overall, we had a positive experience.

   It’s was very quiet in the restaurant yet it still took 20 min to get drinks to the table and then food was almost an hour. The servers were very pleasant and helpful with the menu , but seemed to take way too long to even try to order more drinks

   The Proof Staff made our evening extremely enjoyable with fantastic service and delicious food and drink both before and after our theatre event. They were super about accommodating our group arriving and departing at various times and ensuring meals were served according to individual guests’ timelines and dietary needs.

    Found it was a bit loud and the seating was uncomfortable. After dinner we moved to the lounge and it was lovely.

    We had booked a reservation and everything went well with our booking and table. The service was good, I received a wrong salad for dinner, it was replaced, I was also charged for a still water that we didn't receive, it was refunded. The food was very good overall, our party of four all agreed that they enjoyed their dinners, one had a beef burger meal, another a chicken burger meal a chicken caesar salad and a crispy chicken dinner. The overall cost of drinks and meals was a little above average, the drinks costs being the most expensive items, the average entree with beverage cost around $35-45. It was my first time at the restaurant, we did receive a discount as we we live a the Barrel Yards, we will return.

    This is the second time we have gone to Proof. The first time was good, but this second time was great. The food on this seasons menu was phenomenal, on the table we had the Nosh, Onion Bhajis, butter chicken, chicken supreme, salmon and the steak. Everyone was very happy with their meals and accompaniments. I was very impressed by the seasonal vegetables as you don't find many places that serve fiddleheads. We were on the patio on a cooler evening but the overhead heaters were great and the patio was nice a private.

    Food was ok, it wasn't bad but it also wasn't something to write home about. Service-wise you can tell they're trying. They're clearly training at the moment and a little overwhelmed. Would come back in a couple months to see if their logistics are better sorted, likely caught them at a bad time.

    We were there for dinner. 10 of us for birthday and Mother’s Day celebration. Everything was lovely. What would have made it exceptional if somehow my 90 year old mom would have been recognized by the wait staff. Thanks

    Service was terrible/ requested a booth to half booth on reso, we were given a two person table in the corner and when I asked, the host offered a smaller table, we then waited 15 mins for a server to even come to the table, 30 mins for 2 mimosas, another server who brought our charcuterie board and then grabbed our drinks in two seconds as our server Olivia had forgotten about them. In the two mins we had this server, she was delightful. Food was great but then Olivia brought a coffee for my friend that she didn’t order, merely mentioned that she may grab one later on… and charged us for it. As a previous server, the I would understand if it was busy but it was not busy at all. was extremely disappointing as someone who doenst get to brunch often.

    Lots of tasty options. Some of the portions are quite small. The curry was delicious. Not the most welcoming atmosphere and “ok” service. Could have just been an off day for the staff we interacted with.

    Went for a weeknight dinner and it was great! Service was awesome, menu has some different options. My only complaint is that I got the vegan burger and it’s noted it is a Beyond Meat patty but instead it was what looked like a house made patty. It was pretty dry and starchy.

    My husband and I both ordered the Costa Risotto and thought it was delicious! The service was very good, however, I was surprised that no one mentioned our anniversary since I had indicated this on my reservation. I was also surprised by a charge of $4.50 for a cup of tea (x2); this could easily be a complimentary service for your guests and this gesture would really help recommendations.

    Very slow service for a moderately quiet space. Must have staffing issues. Waited 15 minutes after seating and water to see server. After that, quicker, as managers stepped in. Food was a bit ordinary and with the limited menu could have been much more flavourful with a bit more imagination and local focus. Likely caught them on a bad day.

    Saturday lunch for 6. Looked like only one server and we understand. She tried her best, she was friendly but so many things got missed. Like a pot of tea and the milk never came and had to ask again. Had to ask for our drink order again. Asked for birthday dessert on open table on line when making reservations so I did not need to ask again and of course I had to ask. We have been here before and just felt let down and would think twice about spending that amount of money again there.
