Best prawns I've ever tasted. Also had a 10 year old with us who was able to find something to eat. Incredibly genuine waiters. Waiting time for food was longer than expected, although the restaurant was full and we were attended to very well during that time. 9.5/10 will definitely visit again. Beautiful marina side location. Excellent mocktails!
Great! Last minute booking. Got table outside to enjoy the sun
Food and service very good. Live jazz band is a bonus. My only gripe is the price of the alcohol. Much too high, would, didn’t stay longer to drink because of that.
Fantastic food and Rachelle was an amazing server! Love love love Provence!
Overall it’s a beautiful, slightly formal space inside with nice seating outside near the water. The food was good (not great) for the price. Service very attentive but harried. The jazz music really made the evening. Excellent.
Excellent service.. and great special of the day: scallops and prawns on a salad, with pickled bell pepper strips.
The food, service and setting could not have been better! This is a great restaurant with a fantastic menu - both food and wine. We had such a great experience there we can't wait to celebrate there again soon!
Excellent wait staff
I went there with my mother and two of her friends. We loved the jazz band playing there that night. The food was not exceptionally special. I do appreciate that the kitchen was very helpful in preparing a special diet for my mom's friend who can't take any salt in her food. One thing I feel they need to improve is the problems of food flies circling around the tables which is pretty annoying.
Spectacular food and a nice jazz band on a Wednesday night. Packed. Wine flights worthy of a second look helped make a great meal better.
The service continues to impress and the weekly jazz nights are a really nice addition!
It is great that the windows open out onto the patio making the indoors appear almost
The wine bar is lively and we love the fact the there are so many wines on tap and that
the varieties keep changing.
We live in the "hood" and will be back!
Excellent food and wonderful service! We really enjoyed the evening.
Provence is an very comfortable place to enjoy a good meal with family and friends. Not sure it is a Restuarent one would bring children under 10 years old though. Service is great. All staff members are friendly but not intrusive. A good view of the marina. Good ingredients. Portion is a bit too generous for me personally. One is well advised to share appetizer in order to leave room for dessert. All in all, it was a very pleasant dining experience.
We ate outside, the view was very nice, the service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Excellent restaurant for both food and service. There was a table of screaming kids at a nearby table and the general noise level throughout the restaurant was through the roof which definitely spoiled the ambience.
As always Provence was wonderful, location perfect right on the water, service and food superb!
Excellant as always
I have eaten quite often at the Provence Marinaside since it first opened. The restaurant has changed from time to time, and so has the ambience, the menu and the quality of service and food. This recent meal definitely caught a welcome upswing; everything from the greeting to the presentation of the bill was top notch. Service was excellent. Each of the four of us had different starters and mains, and everyone was very pleased with their food. Pacing of food preparation and serving was spot on. The bill came promptly but not too soon. I have been mostly dining elsewhere as of late, but will based on this experience, make sure I don't let much time pass before returning to Provence.
We were visiting from Minnesota loved the Halibut and my husband loved the prawns, water few and great people watching
Thank you...Congratulations ...food was great, perfect wine and cheap !! O.G.
Excellent food, staff and view! My favourite place!
What a lucky find! We were staying up the street at Opus Hotel and found this restaurant on Open Table. I'm so glad we went! The drinks were great, the food was delicious and service was really friendly! We sat in the dining room but the patio doors were open and the heat lamps were on so it was the perfect atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot!
First time going to this restaurant, service was ok but could do much better at least pay attention to take the order. As they brought so many different things which our party didn’t order. Food-wise, I would say pretty good and their daily dessert (tiramisu) and chocolate mousse were absolutely delicious and tasty. 👍🏻
Suggestion: If you have a party and you like round table, please request prior as I only see one round table in the dining section.
Excellent as always! Fast and attentive service, food quality was superb. Our waiter also made wine recommendations that were very popular with the group.
My husband and I love French food and found this to be a fabulus choice for us. We loved the seafood with burre blanc sauce!
I took my family out for dinner here while my aunt and uncle were visiting from Japan for the seafood. The food was excellent and the service was great.
Outstanding experience . . good food . . excellent waiter
First time enjoying the spot prawn menu and it did not disappoint!
Took advantage of the wine pairing option as well, and found some new favourites!
The service was excellent, as always.
Great shrimp and crab cakes!
Eautifil night. Delightful staff, personal and on point. Comfortable patio seating. We loved the food. A seafood sensation.
Our favorite spot! Beautiful setting, St. Tropez feel Marina view. Best selection of Rose wines and any wine by the glass or bottle. Exceptional food!! Prepared with Love and respectful of any dietary concerns. Beautiful fresh seafood, Moulles frites, halibut, spot prawns and Lobster. Seasonal local, salads and vegetables.. Best steak filet, rack of Lamb. Wonderful staff, sommeliers and chefs in Vancouver. Will definately visit often!
my child’s 8th birthday & chose to come back here because our previous experience was exceptional.
We travel quite a bit and this restaurant exceeded our expectations from the reviews we read! Loved the ambiance and the food was superb! Seafood was FRESH...especially the Prawns! And the pasta outstanding with unusual flavors! The Caeser salad was exceptional, but the chocolate dessert was divine. We debated whether to book another night there, but we had to experience the other cuisines in the city. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Vancouver!
My dining partner and I were impressed with the welcoming reception we received the minute we stepped in the door. Our server, Kaya, was attentive even with a full section of diners and enthusiastic in her descriptions of the menu items. The food was delicious and Kaya’s wine recommendation was spot on. It was the perfect start to a weekend getaway in Vancouver. We were thrilled with Provence and returned to the restaurant Sunday morning for a farewell brunch before heading to the airport.
Food was as usual excellent and served in a timely fashion. Server was knowledgeable friendly & professional.
come for the spots prawn menu every year and it never disappoint ted me!
We were visiting Vancouver and did quite a bit of homework on where to go while in town. A friend who lives in the city recommended this restaurant among others and it seems like a fit for our first evening. Unfortunately from the first impression (looks like a place you would find at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco!) to the lack of professional service to the lackluster food, the experience was forgettable and disappointing. As an aside, we ate the next night at Kissa Tonto and it was truly amazing and memorable.
Great menu and good chefs. We especially appreciate the knowledgeable and attentive servers. This is one of our fave restaurants when we visit Vancouver.
They ran out of the spot prawn feature and didn’t tell us until after we finished our appetizers and had a bottle of wine. We came there for that special, so we got our bill and left - ruined our evening.
