This place seems to get better every time I go. The service in particular was excellent.
We’ve.been occasional regulars here for years and always enjoy the good food and service. Be warned that the noise level can verge on unacceptable for the class of restaurant if it is busy with large groups. It wasn’t always like this. A major renovation a few years ago disregarded acoustics.
The food, service, and view were all great. Lovely spot for late breakfast or brunch. Coffee could be better and hotter.
I"m satisfied!!! the food, the service, the ambient!
Our staff came for our annual Christmas dinner. We have been to many restaurants over the years and they all agreed that this was one of the very best. The food was outstanding. We also enjoyed the live jazz music.
Took friends there, usually wed do another style than this however I'd been once before with family and had such a great meal and staff were seriously that great that I had to come back.
It has been a long time - too long - since I visited this fantastic spot. The food, service and ambience are so consistent that there was a feeling of being back "home"
It won't be a long time before the next visit!
My favourite local restaurant. Food was excellent as usual. Unfortunately, in spite of informing you online that we were celebrating ou birthdays, we had to ask for the complimentary birthday dessert. The waitress was charming and said she had been asked for our confirmation. As a long time customer, I was surprised that our statement would be questioned. However, I do understand that some people might fake their birthday to get a free dessert! As two over 80 year olds celebrating together over many years, we only celebrate ONCE a year!
Our service was good and the location is ideal since it's in front of the marina and seawall. I had the scallops and sea bream which was pretty bland so would not recommend it. The food was also not hot when served and I prefer my meal to be so. If you are there for a nice view and okay food it's fine.
Booked here at short notice and were really pleased with the experience later on a Friday night. Plenty of people there to add atmosphere but not crowded or overly loud. Service and food were both great.
We had an amazing time and the food was fresh and delicious!
Great menu but bit uneven in terms of delivery. Soup nothing special. First course of steamed shellfish was like warm. Highlight was the whole fish. Perfectly cooked.
Great experience, as always. We do pick our times, as the restaurant does get very busy periodically, so it is nice to be retired and able to do so.
Had a wonderful evening, great atmosphere, service, and beautiful food.
Excellent food and service but level of music made it difficult to converse easily over dinner.
Efficient friendly pleasant service
Great location for downtown events
Nice waterfront view and
Great seafood and a good variety of delicious options
A good view of the water, always goes well with any type of food. And the options they have for brunch are varied enough for anybody's tastes. The dinner selection isn't as large (north american options mostly) but still very tasty. The service is excellent, and quick.
Great as usual! Our guests were very impressed with the taste & freshness of the seafood.
Wonderful dinner at Provence! Food excellent, service excellent, atmosphere excellent. The lamb cooked perfectly, sablefish same. Chocolate mousse cake perfect way to end the meal.
Wonderful wide range of menu selections - hard to select. All delicious
Excellent service and ambience.
Lucky we were in a corner as noise level might be less pleasant in centre of the room
Excellent service in English and en francais. Good live music on Wednesdays. Famous for seafood and Marseille recipes!
We had a great time, fabulous meal and great service.
One of my favourite restaurants. Have been eating here for many years. Great food and service. Our server Aaron was terrific.
Food is good, except for dessert there is room for improvement.
The food was average. The Bouillabaisse was not hot enough. I had the frog legs for appetitizer, these were quite dry, so was the chicken dish. The seafood platter was okay. Sea bream fish and scallops were good though.
The server was curt.
Open table sends too many emails. Restaurant was fine
Great seafood! Hard to beat! We will be back!
Great experience. Food was great, service d great!
Very accommodating. Excellent servers. Enjoyed the evening
Good location near the Yaletown Harbour. Cozy inside and service was great.
We had a wonderful night with our waiter named Gaetan. He provided great idea for ordering and the food were delicious. The restaurant is having a promotion menu recently, so the price is good too.
Was disappointed in my first and likely last visit to Provence Marinaside. I took an out of town work guest here and was hoping to have a nice experience. Food was so-so for the price, prawns were over cooked. As for the staff, they were snobby and made us feel unwelcome. weren’t accommodating when we asked to move to a different table. We spent a lot of money and had your typical Vancouver service!
The food was great and the service was friendly . The food portion was larger than expected though. Would definitely go back again.
It was my boyfriend's birthday and I made reservations two weeks in advance. Upon arrival, we were offered complimentary prosecco until a table was ready. We were offered a table outside with heat lamps or a table in the wine bar. Within about 10 minutes a table for two was ready by the window. I would not have been happy to have a table outside or the wine bar having made reservations two weeks earlier and a special occasion. Walter was our waiter and he was wonderful! Complimentary olive tapenade and smoke trout with aioli. We shared the frog legs and escargot appetizer - amazing! My boyfriend had seafood linguini and I had the halibut - both were to die for. To top it off they brought my boyfriend a surprise complimentary dessert! My boyfriend, a retired chef, spoke with the chef after dinner and gave him our compliments. A wonderful evening - we will be back.
Overall, the restaurant was very nice. The decor was chic. The menu was good. The noise level was very LOUD - not good for conversation and annoying. My lobster was obviously taken from its mother too soon. This is a joke, but it probably weighed about 200Gm. with the shell. I had expected a reasonably sized lobster for the price. My companions had the halibut special, which was very salty. The guess was that either an amateur had seasoned it, or the cook smokes and hasn't any sensitive tastebuds. The side vegetables were very good and a nice, colorful variety. Overall the experience was good, though I felt cheated by the size of the lobster.
Very friendly staff and tasty food! I had the turkey dinner set it was very good!
Love this restaurant! Wish I lived in the neighbourhood so I could pop in more often. Mushroom Ravioli and Steamed Mussels to die for!!
Fresh fabulous seafood....a menu of all my favorites; very tough to make a choice!
It is good overall except we found a hair on the scallop. We told the server and he said 'it is not a hair' and went into the kitchen. He came back again and took it into the kitchen. Then comes back and says the chef was not able to determine if it is a hair or not and asked us if we want a replacement. Any sensible restaurants would just apologize and initiate to replace the food instead of going through so much trouble and ASK us if we want it replaced. Other than this issue, everything else was great.
