Very good place to eat. Service was excellent. Servant Michelle die everything needed for good service. Meals were very nice to look at and taste very good.
We arrived an hour early on a Saturday night, but they were able to quickly accommodate us. The server was excellent, and helped us to make our decisions. Excellent food, fresh, well prepared, and beautifully presented.
Creative and delicious cuisine, great service, live music on Wednesdays, active patio with False Creek view.
Wonderful dinner. Rack of lamb was outstanding as were the prawns and halibut meals. A bit spendy , but well worth it. The live jazz that evening was great too.
Very nice overall experience, but I was a tad disappointed that my parking was not fully validated (as your website had implied). I would have been OK if there had been no offer of reimbursement.
My partner was celebrating becoming a lawyer so we made a reservation for a family lunch. Our server and the rest of the staff were attentive, warm and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food - the plate du jour being the favorite.
Nice restaurant with tasty food at moderate prices in a beautiful Yaletown almost waterfront location. My only complaint about restaurant is that since being renovated a couple years ago the space is noisier but by no means a deal breaker.
This was a birthday dinner for my wife. Six of us enjoyed a delicious dinner, excellent service from our waitress right to the bus staff. It's pricey of course but very good. The location is quite nice, if the weather was better we could have been outside looking at false Creek. Super evening!
Good food, service & ambiance. One of our favourite restaurants. No more need be said!
Always amazing ! My favourite restaurant forever. The seafood is always the freshest and service is impeccable .
A pleasant afternoon pre birthday celebration with a close girlfriend
Great cuisine and wine list. Service is excellent. Have always enjoyed our dining experience.
Outstanding service and outstanding meal, once again. Provence is my favorite “go to” restaurant for any occasion.
Great food . Small portions though . The waitress was very attentive but not annoying - perfect service.
Bouillabaisse serving very small .
Very noisy. Steak was unacceptable and sent back. Was replaced but dining partner had already finished her meal before replacement arrived. No compensation offered. Stroller from the table behind us was parked beside our table making it difficult for servers.
Loved the Tomato inspired fixed menu that we both enjoyed. Sat outside at a corner sofa on a beautiful evening. Will definitely return.
This WAS one of our favourite restaurants so my mum purchased a 120 dollar gift card for my birthday. Dinner was great but when it came to pay the gift card didn’t work. We had to wait an extra half hour so they could try to run it threw. After half hour we wondered what was taking so long and we looked for the manager taking care of it. We saw across the room she was socializing with the customers and forgot to tell us the card wasn’t working. The server was very embarrassed and had to tell us the card didn’t work. The next day we phoned the company that issued the card and said there is no trouble on their end. We are going back to Provence Tuesday in hopes the refund the cash we paid out of pocket as we have this gift card for Provence still and don’t want to dine there again. We were not compensated for our trouble and had left a bad taste for my husband and I.
Great location by the water; Walt was an attentive and knowledgeable server; food was tasty
Their 10th Avenue restaurant was a favourite dining location for many years and we were well known customers. The Marinaside location is more distant (across the Burrard bridge), somewhat more noisy and because we get there less frequently we have become anonymous to most staff. Consequently the experience is less friendly, but the food remains outstanding and the service very good. It remains our favourite place to meet and dine with old friends and we should do it more often.
Please keep the bamboo rice with lobster! Also the steelhead on your in- house baguette is wonderful!
Our group of three had to sit at the bar for 40 minutes while we waited for a table we had reserved. I am reminded of the Seinfeld episode where the company knows how to 'take a reservation,' but they don't know how to 'hold a reservation.' The inability for the restaurant to honour our reservation was very disappointing.
Great service and check-ins from manager. Nice bday treat - thank you!
Love this place! Great food and service and nice atmosphere.
I think we received the best service I have ever experienced. Even with a full restaurant multiple people were attending to us and were very courteous polite and sophisticated. Excellent!
We went for our anniversary and the evening and the food were outstanding. The staff was very attentive and surprised us at the end of our meal with a lovely dessert platter to help us celebrate our 37th anniversary. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection and the crab cakes and scallop appetizers were fabulous. We will definitely return!
A lovely location right by the water. We dined on the patio. Great menu. I had Grilled Fish Trio which consisted of Halibut, Steelhead and albacore tuna. My tuna was over cooked but the waiter quickly had it replaced when I pointed it out. The new portion was great. A nice sized portion for lunch. Our waiter was perhaps a bit overly friendly, a few too many corny lines. Nice guy, just trying too hard.
We (and family members) have been frequent visitors to Provence Marinaside over the years and always been pleased with the setting, ambience, service and menu selection. On our most recent visit I thoroughly enjoyed an extensive seafood selection prepared and presented to perfection. I look forward to another visit soon
Provence Marinaside was an absolutely outstanding experience for our Anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated immediately. We were there on a Wednesday night and there is live music. Our waiter Jim was friendly and very efficient as well as attentive. Seafood is wonderful and the portions are generous. Jim suggested a terrific wine that paired nicely with our meal. We were surprised with complimentary desserts, yes three different desserts on a platter with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate! It was a very memorable Anniversary!
Amazing service!! The staff were well spoken, extremely efficient and very pleasant. Very versed in wine recommendations and dinner choices. Would go back just for the service.
We booked the restaurant for a quick lunch before an afternoon of salmon fishing. We liked it so much we cancelled our evening reservation at another restaurant and came back to Provence Marinaside. The patio is very comfortable and the menu and wine selections were entirely pleasing.
A waitress e petted to bus her own tables, almost a 30 minute wait for the start of the meal, lingering over dirty dishes for what seemed an eternity - these were just a few of the problems that made this less than a great dining g experience.
We went on a sunday night with out of country guests . The service and rcommendations were very good and the wine list allowed us to showcase some excellent BC wine. Enjoyed the ravioli with scallops, halibut dish and seafood pasta. Casual yet elegant with an outside inside feel. Very popular with the locals. Had been there for lunch the week before and recommend the salad nicoise.
In town from Seattle for annual event. Second year in a row we ate hear and will definitely be back. Great variety of food and wine. Wanted local place near water and this is perfect. 5 people at dinner, nice atmosphere and quiet enough for good conversation between all. Looking forward to next year.
The food was very good. How we the service was very poor. I asked for pepper and waited while the waitress went to 3 other tables to answer questions or whatever. I finally asked another male waiter who brought me the pepper and who I also later asked for water. In addition our waitress left the dirty plates sitting until another waiter came by and noticed. So yes to food but very poor service. It’s a tough decision to recommend. I say yes to food... but a no for service. Having said that I would give it a second chance with a different waitress.
Very accommodating when our flight was late. Offered to make a smaller plate of the prawn entree which was delicious. as I really wanted it but would have been to much to eat. Shell fish steamer was nice combo and very tasty.
Very frIendly staff that made us feel so welcome from the get-go. The food was superb!
It is the perfect place to dine with family, friends or just by yourselves, everything is made to perfection
Seafood at its best with local ingredients and attention to ocean wise products in a méditerranéen style presentation. Very wide wine selection to pair with.
Very good value
everything we were served was delicious; of special note were the cooked goat cheese appetizer and the bamboo rice with crab and lobster. The watermelon sorbet was out of this world.
The waiter offered thoughtful suggestions and was attentive without being overbearing. The jazz quartet fit the mood perfectly; very competent without being too showy.
Great ambience near waterfront. Wed night live jazz was fantastic music. Food was good though not outstanding, little pricey. Attentive service.
