Beautiful old house with lots of character. Great ambiance. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented. There was a pretty long wait for our appetizers and again for the main course. They may have been short staffed, I’m not quite sure. The wait staff was very attentive. We will definitely dine here again.

Having reserved a table on their veranda overlooking the beautiful front yard, our experience included not only a great meal but also a pleasant ambiance surrounded by flowering plants and green gardens. We were there for lunch and it was quite busy. The food quality, appearance and taste was excellent and the staff friendly and quick. We look forward coming back. Thank You.

Everything was great. If I had one recommended improvement the short rib bolognese was salty. And I love salt.

Excellent food and service but we found the noise level a bit high. The noise level will be dependent upon the other tables (for us it was just one table that was particularly loud) and the rooms as small. Despite this I would still highly recommend a visit to the Puddicombe House.

Our overall experience was very positive. The only negatives we have is that the meats seem to be a little undercooked. My mom and I had the waygu burger which was, to us, a little too rare. My dad had the duck which again, he felt, a little undercooked. Our other suggestion would be to warn people that the French fries are incredibly seasoned. My mom couldn’t eat them and had to send them back. They did redo them but then oversalted them. It was my birthday and after our meal we were presented with a free dessert which was lovely and totally unexpected. Overall I’d highly recommend this restaurant but would warn people to ask about spices on food if you’re sensitive to spice and also the cooks on the meats if you prefer a more well done meat.

We had a great first experience at Puddicombe House. We worried about sitting outside given the unseasonably cool late May weather, but the heated veranda was as warm as indoors. Salads were excellent and mains (duck and scallop linguine) also excellent. Service was too notch. Looking forward to returning.

Timing of meals was off. One meal came cold and overcooked. Servers mixed up who ordered what. Long wait for drinks and meal even though restaurant was quiet for a Friday night. Huge disappointment for $500 bill. Beyond disappointing food and service experience. Been there twice in the last week and this was a real damper on a special family occasion.
