   Great food (perfectly balanced flavours, creative, nothing oversalted or oversweetened) exceptional service, very knowledgeable staff. Appreciate slow dining without rushing through the courses. Standards of service such as interaction with customers, change of cutlery, timing of courses is great. Obviously, not a cheap place but you will know what you are paying for, unlike in other fine dining restaurants in Calgary. Also learn more about wine and tea from staff if you are interested in a chat.

   Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Food was amazing. Service was exemplary. Location is beautiful. Did the wine pairing with dinner and would recommend everyone do that, so many tastes that complimented each other. Can’t wait to go back!

   My husband I come here for every anniversary (and more often if we can) and always have a wonderful experience! If you haven't yet, try the chef's tasting menu with the drinks pairing. You will be amazed!

    Q Haute is definitely one of the kind experience. I took my wife for a late Valentine's day dinner and she was absolutely ecstatic about it. The food was amazing, the service was great. We got the best place near the fireplace so it was just magic. The tour of the kitchen also was very entertaining and they gave us a short presentation of how they prepare their desert. The price is high, but we got our money's worth.

    The tasting menu was quite amazing. I found the atmosphere has not changed in decades which is a bit of a disappointment. There needs to be some remodeling which will make this place shine.

    The Valentine’s Day Service was fantastic, our first visit to Q Haute. It is definitely on the expensive side, but for that you get what I would consider Michelin Star-level food, expert wine pairings, and brilliant service. We regret we waited so long to visit, but we’ll be sure to return.

    We have eaten there several times now and have yet to be anything but pleased. This visit we particularly liked the presentation of the tomato soup with the creme fraiche placed first and the soup poured around it at the table. Bob and Jill

    Q Haute is an amazing restaurant. Every time we go it is an amazing food journey. Do NOT miss out on listening to Josh impart his knowledge of wine. Every time we go, it’s Josh we enjoy seeing. His passion shines through.

    Celiac and other allergy friendly. Simply amazing. Josh the server/somalier was so knowledgeable and personable and our experience so much better. We will definitely be back. All of the food was perfect and the wine pairings too.

    I went there with a group of high school students to practice French in a restaurant setting and our visit was splendid! Students had the opportunity to order in French and chat with the waiters that were French native speakers. On the top, we got a class of "etiquette" by one of the French speakers and a chef showed us how to make gâteau flambé. Thanks you so much! it was an incredible experience!

    Food, service (minus the wine handling) and the tea sommelier experience was overall excellent. However, the wine selection was abysmally poor. I came with some high expectations on the wine list and I ended incredibly disappointed, I can't remember seeing a mid-, high- range restaurant with such poor wine selection, especially for a French-oriented setting. Given the choice was very limited, I opted to take the selected wine tour, that was even a bigger mistake. If you really appreciate your taste, avoid at all costs. Wine tour selection is sub-par at the best, with ridiculously small amounts for the tasting. one pinky finger per serving, with a couple of minutes to serve yourself a little more before the waiter takes the bottle, which I personally consider a very poor and unpolite way (to the limit to be rude) to handle a wine tour. So try to rescue anything from the wine list (if possible) and stick to that.

    My husband and I went to celebrate a special occasion, it was my second visit- his first- and neither of us could fault it. The service was perfect, the food was delicious and weird (but in a good way!). Timings between courses were great as well, and I only started to feel full at the time I should- almost at the end of my final dessert! We went for the Saturday evening 7 course meal (which was more like 10 courses) and had the wine pairing which was also spot on! I love that the meal is a surprise- you get the menu at the end but every dish is explained as it’s brought out. They will also take into account any dietary restrictions/allergies. But the surprise element is great. You end up with dishes you would never normally order. Yes it’s expensive, but if you want cheap, go somewhere cheap. We will be taking my parents-in-law when they visit as we know they’ll love it too. Thank you for a lovely night!

    We have been here several times, and with the exception of the vegan night, the food is always outstanding. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed on this visit. As with previous visits, we ordered the four course meal, where the chef sends out whatever is on his menu. There are no choices to be made by the customer. This time though, two of the items were repeats from our last visit in August. One of the reasons we go to Q Haute is to enjoy the chef's new creations, so it was a disappointment to see something we had already sampled. While the food was very good, it detracted from our overall experience. The service and ambience though, continue to be exceptional.

    Was pretty good. Interesting French-style cuisine. Good quality but didn’t blow me away. They tried to close off this massive place with divider curtains to make it more intimate. But still the place felt quite cold. White everything. Could use some renovations to make it more cozy as location is great. In fairness, this was early seating on New Year’s Eve and was quite frantic. Worth a try but wouldn’t be a regular place for me.

    This was rather a disappointing experience. We have been there before and I loved, loved, loved it, so I had very high expectations and was really looking forward to the evening. First of all, we requested the 4 course and was given the 7, at considerably greater cost (we had both eaten a later lunch). Then we had clarified whether only one of us could do the wine pairings as I didn't want to drink very much. We were both served. Yes, I could have stopped it there but I didn't, and honestly that was the most enjoyable part of the evening. The wine pairings were fabulous. The food was underwhelming. Beautifully presented, but not terribly note worthy. Actually the fish dish I didn't enjoy at all. The sous vide bison was excellent. Really fabulous. But that was about it. Make sure you're very, very clear about what you want and that all of the servers understand. Service was attentive, but communication was not. you'd tell one person one thing then someone else would start looking after you and did sobering different. Unfortunately after this experience I'm not in any hurry to go back. It was very expensive and the food just didn't measure up. Again, I was impressed with the sommeliers choices for the wine pairings, and the bison was delicious. I enjoy culinary adventures, but I've had some of the best, and unfortunately this particular menu isn't a contender. They do change the menu, so maybe the next one will be more rewarding. My dinner companion felt exactly the same.

    We love going to Q Haute. The staff is wonderful and so is the food. It is always a lovely experience. This time we got an incredibly generous gift from a dear friend in the form of a gift card. We had the 7 course tasting menu, and that was a lot of fun. Our waiter, Shawn was very knowledgeable about the wines, food and made us feel very pampered. He is also a tea specialist, and at the end of the evening we got to enjoy a very special Chinese black tea. The whole evening was simply delightful. We look forward to going back.

    First and second course were well below par. salmon cake was salty and the salmon cake itself was dry and very like a hockey puck...no flavor in the bisque...bread pudding was the saving grace

    QHaute is one of my favourite spots. It’s always a special treat to see Marcello (and Jason!) I make every effort to take my clients and friends here whenever I can. It’s the perfect spot for a business meeting, especially if you’re trying to WOW someone.

    Fantastic 7+ course chefs meal. Small dishes, but amazing variety and flair. The total meal filled us up and then some! Excellent. After the meal we were invited to check out the kitchen which was interesting and fun. The only thing that we did not enjoy was the loud server (sommelier) who was serving two tables in the dining room and was very loud and talked continuously during our meal.

    our server Josh was AMAZING!!! We had the 7 course dinner with the wine pairing which was awesome! Josh's knowledge and information on the wines and food make this a very enjoyable evening out. We learned so much about wine, saki, tea and got a tour of the kitchen. Thank you Josh!
