    The Stewart Family Proprietors' Dining Room is adjacent to our Wine Tasting Room and offers seating for up to 36 guests and a stand up event of up to 50 guests. This technically equipped facility is an exceptional venue for private, corporate, or family events as well as wine-related tours. The window surrounded dining room provides a spectacular view of the vineyard and Lake Okanagan. Guests can enjoy the late day breeze of Okanagan Lake from the terrace balcony off the private dining room. Other private function options are available as well. Our Quails' Gate wines, hand-crafted by wine maker Ross Baker, are available along with a choice of group menu options which reflect the fresh regional cuisine of our Winery Chef, Roger Sleiman.

    It was very good always so lovely. However we called and they said they were fully booked for reservations. I went on OpenTable and there were six available spots so I booked my reservations online. The food was excellent and service was wonderful. However I went for my 50th birthday and nothing special was done. Other than that it was a lovely experience.

    Food was incredible but unfortunately service was extremely slow. There were sometimes 30-45 minute gaps between when we were checked up on and the very very long dinner service made it especially hard with an infant. Though the staff we encountered were kind, we wondered many times throughout the night whether you were short staffed. Overall, the experience was a mixed bag for us.

    I was disappointed in my table (I had a reservation). When asked to change tables, was told others had reservation so we couldn’t move. Also, was there to celebrate anniversary (which I noted in making reservation) & it was not acknowledged. That was disappointing- if asked what is occasion, maybe servers etc should acknowledge!

    We certainly enjoyed our dining experience at Old Vines. Service was excellent and the dining ambiance just perfect on the patio. Everyone in our party of 3 commented on the tasty dishes and thoughtfully paired wines.

    Our lunch at Quail’s Hate was wonderful. Our server, Monique, was very professional and courteous. She explained the menu and paired the wines with our food. Hit a Home Run with some older vintages. Food was fresh and HOT ! Looking forward to our next visit. Hopefully soon ! Cheers. Ed

    I have a soft spot for Quails gate but Old Vines was disappointing. The service was mediocre at best. Our server was rushed, incredibly inattentive, completely ignored my date and only spoke to me, left part way through the dinner and made no mention of handing off to another waiter. Most times he’d ask how everything was while our mouths were full and walk off before we could ask for anything additional. I had the Halibut and my partner had the duck. Both dishes were mediocre in fact I’d venture to say I could have made my halibut dish and I’m not a very good cook. This is a harsh review I know but I speak with blunt honesty. I actually wish we hadn’t gone to Old Vines for dinner. The ambiance and property are gorgeous and I love their wines but … gosh for a destination winery restaurant they dropped the ball.

    Good food, ambiance and service. We ordered a bottle of Stewart family reserve Pinot 2019, it was ok but not to my expectations.. bit on sour side and not quite mature yet. Also I was disappointed with no sparkling water available.

    We brought guests from out of town who had never dined here. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food from appetizers to main to dessert. The wine and suggested pairings were excellent. Our server was friendly and professional. The ambiance is always a delight so our overall experience was fantastic.

    Great food, service, scenery, and atmosphere! The staff were very polite and provided excellent service. Before the meal, the hostess Rebecca was very helpful, friendly and pleasant. She helped store the wine purchased from the winery before the meal and then returned it after the meal. Wine was well kept. My steak meal was really well made and the wine pairing recommendation really suited the meal. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

    Service was very very poor. We waited over an hour for our food and our server, Cara, did not check on us once but proceeded to check in on the table right next to us multiple times. When we finally did flag her down she gave us a snarky response that our food would be coming right up. No apologies or updates throughout the entire time. All of the doors & windows were open making it extremely cold and windy in the lower dining room. The manager did eventually come and ask us if it was too cold and closed some of their doors. Needless to say, I had 100% better service at the Denny's I went to the next morning for breakfast and would not recommend coming here for dinner or lunch.

    Had a lovely lunchtime meal on the way up to Kelowna. Appies, main course and dessert were all delicious and presented beautifully. All paired with tasty wines, and attentive but understated service - it was divine!

    First visit to this restaurant. Would like to go again under more favourable weather conditions. We could hardly hear our waiter or each other because of the loud party next to us, something uou don't expect at those prices. But, I guess everyone was crammed indoors because of the rain. Really enjoyed the food very much.

    Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Flavourful and good sized portions. The soup serving was a little on the small size however. Our main courses of Cornish Hen and Steak were delicious. Wonderful server Catherine - very attentive, efficient and friendly. Prices were reasonable value for money.

    The ambience at Old Vines is wonderful… so charming inside and out, with such beautiful views. The service and attention we received was excellent and the food was absolutely outstanding. Our favourite restaurant for any occasion!

    My only comment would be to have a bit of a stricter dress code. We bothered to dress up but most didn't - jeans, shorts, etc. I know it is difficult to enforce, especially in today's society. Also, no kids allowed at dinner - I would not want to be distracted by anything to do with kids. I wouldn't have come to a restaurant as special as Quail's Gate if I had. Thank you so much for the fabulous dinner. And Jocelyn, our waitress, was wonderful. Thanks, Jocelyn.

    Took my parents out for a trip in Kelowna. Thought I would treat them to a special dinner at a place like Quail’s Gate Old Vines Restaurant. Unfortunately the experience was poor. We ordered our food, and waited 40-50 minutes while watching other people who came after us get their food. It turned out the restaurant didn’t ring our order through. Staff tried to make up for it by giving us bread, fries, and dessert, none of which were what we ordered or wanted; really we just wanted what we ordered delivered promptly. The extra stuff was not what we wanted and doesn’t make up for the poor experience of sitting around, hungry, watching other people who came after you get their food, feeling less well treated than other customers, knowing your order was forgotten, while being civil with the restaurant staff because you don’t want no one to spit in your food if we get upset. Definitely will have much second thoughts about coming back and will have reservations about recommending it to friends and family at this point in time.
