Quanto Basta - Toronto
The choices are so good I had trouble picking. The beet soup with crab cakes and caviar was delicious. My arugula salad toped with brocoletti was devine. My pasta dish was cooked to perfection. I had a lovely californian cabernet sauvignon and the carrot cake was moist and decadent. The service was impeccable. The decor is nice except for the black and white rattan chairs. Kinda tacky. They would look better outside. I also sat near the back and the smell of cleaner and bleach was competing with the aroma of the food. Hence the 4 rating as opposed to 5. Otherwise was great.
Attractive Italian eatery with a nice ambiance, excellent service and good food. Seating can feel a little cramped, and the long couch could be firmer.
Our very first visit to Quanto Basta was an incredible experience!!!! We loved every part of it! Thank You Julia for your incredible hospitality and love! ❤️
This is a beautiful place for a quiet lunch. The bright and beautiful restaurant offers extremely delicious food! I would highly recommend it.
The service was very very good and the food & wine perfect. Unfortunately we were there at the same time as a large, loud (20+) bday party right next to us. That didn't make the atmosphere enjoyable. But kudos to the staff for coming to see us and apologizing, moving us when possible and a complimentary dessert.
Fantastic from the moment we came in. Staff was so attentive without being in your face. Staff made good recommendations from the menu-both food and wine. The food was very good. My friend had the Risotto special and it was a lot of food for one. I ordered from the menu and portions were perfect. It can get a bit noisy if full but still would highly recommend.
Very good Italian food; excellent bruschetta and pasta dishes.
Service was a bit erratic; attentive at first but harder to get servers' attention later as it got busy. However, we were pleased to be seated as requested in the back corner where it is slightly quieter than the front.
Disappointed the white Italian wine we wanted was out of stock.
Will return to try other dishes!
Food is freshly made by an Italian chef. Mushroom soup was one of thd best we had ever tasted. We both had ravioli with vegetables. Delicious. Save room for dessert.
We try and go once a month and it never disappoints. get the bruschetta special. you won't be disappointed.
NYE, had a great time, dinner was delicious except for truffle risotto.
Simply the best!
This is my favourite resteraunt in the city.
Consistent food quality , service just exceptional !
Loved it. Both the service and food were great. Will definitely return.
Always enjoy this cozy restaurant and can’t wait to return!
Think there has been a change in ownership. Food not quite as good as I recall from numerous previous visits ( although none lately
Always amazing. Favourite spot in the Summerhill area.
A reliable neighbourhood favourite. Service is always outstanding and pasta, fish and salads are very good.
Can get noisy along the bench.
Amazing food fabulous wine great service and ambiance
My new fave restaurant !
Favourite spot in Toronto! Would recommend for all occasions.
We love it. And half piece wine Wednesdays always good!
Comfortable atmosphere... Fabulous Calamari, pasta and a great wine list!
A fantastic neighbourhood Go-To. Great food, friendly wait staff, personable owner who is often on site.
Had a great time! Food, wine.and service were terrific, Thanks Natalia!
Second time there... even better than my first visit.
Had the pleasure of having Sarah as my waitress... both lovely, attentive.
I’ll be back. One of my new favourite Italian restaurants!!!!
Delicious Italian food enjoyed in a beautifully decorated room. Be prepared to deal with loud chatter if busy.
Its a small cozy restaurant serving delicious food made with fresh ingredients.
flavours were exceptional and service friendly without being overly attentive.
Always a great experience - super delicious fresh food.
We went with relatives from Arizona and we were all very pleased. We had pasta, Branzini and the appetizers were amazing also. I love to introduce this restaurant to new people since I trust the food will be truly enjoyed!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - this is my favorite restaurant in Toronto. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection; every time. There are many more restauraunts that I’ve eaten at and to be honest - although some may be hyped up and often expensive because of that - I’d struggle to say one is “better” - others might be noisier, more expensive with hard up sells, and yes good food maybe. But for me personally - Quanto Basta hits it out of the park every time !
My new favourite restaurant
We have been many times. The Bruschetta was particularly good on this date
Incredible food and amazing service. The wine list is fantastic. Chose this place based on great Google reviews and it did not disappoint. Will definately go again and again.
Great service, nice size portions, very tasty. A little expensive but overall great experience
Great wine list and warm and cozy - great food, yummy biscotti
Higher prices for simply ok food. Enjoyed the buzz of the restaurant althiugh very loud. Better restaurants in the area with great food at a lower price point. Glad we tryed it given how much people talk about it.
I live in the neighbourhood and have been to Quanto Basta a few times now. Each time has been great. The food never disappoints and the service is always friendly and attentive.
Loved the atmostphere, food and service. Restaurant is beautifully appointed for a boutique feel, yet comfortable enough to accommodate casual fine dining style. We thoroughly enjoyed the energy and buzz and still found it intimate enough for a some quality time to catch up.
We chose Quanto Basta to celebrate Easter. The Brunch menu offered a great variety of items. We chose the Nicoise Salad, which was topped with the fish of the day - swordfish. It was grilled to perfection and delicious. I look forward to another visit, when I will definitely try the French Toast of the day. Very attentive service and a wonderful Easter experience.
Thoroughly enjoyed the casual atmosphere with a level of sophsication. Made of a relaxed feeling, yet a good vibe of people surrounding you. We had the burrata appetizer which was extremely fresh laying in a bed of greens and cherry tomato. We all enjoyed some authentic Italian pastas as the main choice - I had the linguine bolagnese which I would recommend. And my friend had the orichette - another tasty dish. We also found a good selection of Italian Reds.
