    We had brunch on a gorgeous late September day. We ate out on the outdoor deck with a nice view of the lake. We had a delicious meal - the grilled chicken sandwich and the crab cake benedict with the parmesan french fries on the side. Justin was our server. It was a memorable visit!

    This is a lovely historic inn that has been beautifully renovated, we have eaten here many times. The menu is local and seasonal and always delicious.

    There are only 2 restaurants to pick from at the Inns of Aurora, so they have a captive audience. The more casual pub is Fargo and the Lakeside more upscale one is 1833 Kitchen. We had wonderful service when we dined at 1833 but thought the prices were really over the top for what they served. The 1833 is the one to dine at if you want to enjoy a lakeview from the windows or even on their truly lovely elevated deck. We dined there during an overnight Inn stay on 9/6 and also on 9/14. On 9/14 I ordered the scallops with marinated sea beans. It was served to me with brocollini instead, which I don't care for. I asked the server where the sea beans were and she pointed out 2 pieces of green bean, each no thicker than a spaghetti noodle and no longer than one inch on my plate. I thought that was kind of ridiculous. Prices were very high for everything on the menu. I didn't make a fuss because it was obvious they were very short staffed that night and service was slow as a result, but not the server's fault at all.

    Following my previous review from earlier this summer, Adrianne’s front of house leadership has set a new bar for the level of service and overall dining experience. There are obvious investments being made in the kitchen as well. Loving the prix fixe menu!

    A business lunch for 5 took two and a half hours. Service was so slow, food was cold, they lost our credit card and all on a Thursday. Will be taking business lunches to Auburn from now on.

    The Aurora never disappoints!!!! I have been coming for years and thoroughly enjoy the creativity of the food, the presentation and the wonderful service. I love bringing people who have never experienced this wonderful place and hearing them rave about that experience. And they come back!!! We are so lucky to have The Aurora here. It's a wee bit of a travel for me - about and hour and a half but I cannot imagine not coming back to this wonderful place and the staff!!

    Tasting menu was inventive and very tasty. The flavors worked well together - delicious rather than precious or overly complicated. A few service glitches (that were profusely apologized for), but hell, it’s summer and they were cranking busy. Their wine selections were great. Only suggestion - would love to have tasting menu with wine pairing option include a wine/sparkling wine to have while waiting for the appetizer to arrive. I thought the FLX French 75 would be a light option for a cocktail, but it turned out to be too sour to drink. Small complaint - everything else was great!

    We recently had a lovely "brunch" at the 1833 Kitchen and Bar. I put brunch in quotes because our reservation was for 1:00 and we were expecting a full on lunch menu. We all chose lunch items, but would have preferred to be offered a lunch menu instead. When we were seated, our table was set for 2 when we had a reservation for 4. We asked no less than 3 times for two more place settings. We waited a LONG time for our simple lunch, but we noticed that another small party seated just before us also waited a long time. Nothing earth shattering, but I would say, not the best service.

    Delicious meal! My husband and I both had the 4 course option and loved every single dish! No exception-all 10s! I even enjoyed the wine pairing with my meal and it also hit on all cylinders. I really can’t say enough nice things about dining here. Would come more often if I lived in the area.
