   The ambience is wonderful but their menu leaves something to be desired. They have an overpriced "Tasting Menu" The quality of the food was very good but the portion sizes were ridiculously small. One or two bites in each of the 4 courses. We paid a lot for the dinner and most definitely left hungry. Very poor value disguised as a Tasting Menu

   We had a beautiful brunch on a sunny lake day. Ashley was attentive, professional and most of all friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and the cute birthday dessert at the end was a nice surprise. We will be back again.

   The food was excellent and we had great table outside on a beautiful night. The staff and bartender were very friendly, but there were two instances when the wait staff started to remove plates from members of our party before asking they were done. I understand that there was a time limit for the table, but we felt a bit rushed.

   Food quality, service and setting were excellent, but I was surprised at the small size of the entries, particularly the pasta choice. I’ve been to the Inn several times for special dinners. Those portions were more generous. I was still hungry when I finished my dinner on Thursday. I would mention this to a friend who asked me about dining at the Inn.

    We always gave a terrific meal at 1833 over the years. This time they had a modified tasting menu/a la carte menu with some new items. We missed the long time mushroom side order, steak and seafood bisque but menu was excellent with a new twist

    We had a wonderful evening at the 1833 Kitchen and Bar. The outdoor atomosphere is beautiful, the tasting menu was outstanding and the service was both professional and so friendly. WE celebrated our anniversary there and it was special in many ways. I highly recommend dining there.

    Service began great but dropped off as our meal progressed. We had the scallops and the steak frites; one was waaaay over salted and the other under salted. The Israeli salad was the best part of our meal. It was simply delicious.

    Beautiful experience. Food was delicious and well presented - we did the tasting menu which was a great value. Noise level a little high because of a small wedding group there - I would expect usually a lot quiter.

    A great Mother’s Day treat I intend to repeat with my wife annually. In particular another waitress who lent her hand to help as our server was swamped. She was excellent!! Dark hair beautiful young woman. The server with the pre appetizer was cordial, friendly and warm

    Very nice place with high quality presentation of food items. Formal dinning room is not a good place for small children. Outdoor dinning area is wonderful when weather cooperates. The place is out of the way so be prepared to travel a bit, but it is worth it. If you are actually staying at the hotel or adjacent properties, eating at the 1833 is a must.

    The outside seating is wonderful. The food was delicious but overpriced, especially the avocado toast. ONE Slice with a tiny side salad for way more than other dishes that were less expensive and much more filling. An avocado coasts $1.50 at the most. Two pieces at least would offer value but we were very disappointed.

    We had a very enjoyable dinner for two. The wait staff was very attentive. Amanda our main server was a joy. We really enjoyed the four course tasting menu. The food was delicious and creative. Would return 100 times over.

    We went for the 4 course tasting menu - food quality was mediocre and not worth the price. While the staff was very kind the service was extremely slow. We were there for almost 3 hours. I would recommend going to the Fargo or elsewhere.

    I used to love going to brunch here. It felt fancy but not snooty, and the prices were moderate- enough that I felt comfortable splurging on some nice food. Yesterday I bought an omelette (an omelette!) for $20 and it wasn't even good. I paid $6 for a sad, soggy fruit salad that was mostly canteloupe and $5 for a regular coffee. The dish that used to be my favorite (crab cake eggs benedict) has more than doubled in price, so much that it's well out of range of anything I would ever consider buying. Overall a really disappointing experience.

    Windows are now frost tinted took away the scenery of the lake. Food took awhile to your table. You can't go wrong for brunch! Get the pastries well worth it, small but very delicious!! On Sundays ask for Ally she was very kind even though she was working by herself she tended to do her best.

    We celebrated my wife’s 32nd birthday and the dinner was 5 stars, this restaurant is beautiful sitting directly on Cayuga lake. We both had the 4 course dinner to really enjoy the experience and everything was cooked beautifully. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion.
