I was kinda disappointed this time. I have visited this café before pandemic (Actually the owners changer during pandemic.) . It was wonderful atmosphere , you hear clasical music and birds sounds. I remember all good memories there. However this time its all gone. I would not go back again.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the raspberry cheesecake! It is so pretty that I almost didn’t want to eat it…but was sooo glad when I did! Great service too.

The deck outside is wonderful but the Music and vibe is a bar space and so not suitable to a gallery visit with my niece. I sure hope the new gallery will offer a cafe more suitable to a variety of gallery goers. The price point was too high fir students and seniors, constant bar beat too loud for seniors and others, menu limited and quality of food much lower than the price point. Total disappointment.

All three of us ordered the Avocado and Tomato Eggs Benedict and were very unimpressed with the bread it was served on - apparently focaccia bread. The bread crust was very thick and nearly impossible to cut through and the bread itself felt tough and stale. It was truly a task to cut through which very much took away from the enjoyment of the flavour of the meal as well as our conversation as we were wrestling with our food. Would strongly recommend that you either serve this dish on a croissant or other less tough bread or ensure that the focaccia is fresh and the crust is soft and cut-able.

What do you mean WHERE to eat? Why not WHY eat there? Anyway, sorry to be picky but thought the question was rather limiting. The staff was excellent, the location superb, the menu a bit short, and the dish I chose - szchezwan (sp) prawns had very few prawns. The bread, while it looked good, was hard as a rock. The meal was not inedible but certainly could be improved. Regardless, I am very glad the Gallery Restaurant is open again and would like it to remain that way. Thanks for a nice time.

Keegan - thank you for being great at what you do. Best patio in Downtown Vancouver for me! Food is satisfying and never disappoints. Sharing is fun! Dirty Chai, oat milk, iced lattes! Awesome meeting spot or date spot or Birthday! What a gem. And the profits go to the Art Gallery. Brilliant!

The avocado and humus Benny was VERY underwhelming. Not good value for money at all or even very tasty. Much too heavy on not very fresh bread. The avo was quite elderly too. Thank goodness my gin cocktail was good.

Wonderful ambiance. Good menu. We had the avocado toast, and the kale Caesar with a pitcher of Sangria. Best sangria I ever had- it had Cassis in it.

Like all other places over the planet the Bistro could use more staff. There seem to be more hosts than wait staff. Given it's a long walk from kitchen to outer end of patio it might be good idea to have stations holding cutlery, coffee, water and salt and pepper etc. in couple of locations outside? Also, it could use more vegetarian options.

Excellent food but AWEFUL service. 1. Server did NOT come to ask for drink orders 2. Server did NOT come to ask for food orders 3. Service put bill on table without asking 4. And they dare to start with 18% gratuity I’ve been coming to the throughout covid to support the business. I understand wait staff may be difficult to come by but basic training or courtesy warrants more. She did not once smiled or offered to take orders. Every time we had to wave her down. Only thing done spontaneously is put the bill on the table. II understand service needs time to return to normal but the attitude was uncalled for. On top of all this, they have the audacity to start at 18% gratuity. This is NOT the US - we actually have healthcare and a social system. Extremely disappointed. Will not return until they sort out the service.

1931 Gallery Bistro is an awesome place for brunch. Went here for a Father's Day brunch with my wife, mother, father and grand-uncle. We all really enjoyed it, so I'd say it was mission accomplished. If you're going to the Art Gallery, make sure you reserve a spot at this bistro for a bite to eat after your visit.

April I had s fabulous meal of a Bidon burger and truffle potatoes on a toasted sesame Brioche bun. I returned to have again and was so disappointed. Amazing square potatoes were gone as was bun. It was not toasted and had thousand island dressing which made bun soggy. Wait time was very long. I will not ever be returning.

We were six women who hadn't been all together for years. The service was excellent and we weren't rushed at all - we ended up staying for 2.5 hours. Such a pleasant change to be able to carry on a conversation in a quiet restaurant. The food was delicious, the setting is lovely.

Been eyeing the food here for a while. Pics looks amazing. Finally made it and it was for our daughter's 19th bday. Very relaxed atmosphere as well as service. No pressure and super chill. Unfortunately the food was only 'ok'. Everything was cold and looked sad. Maybe bad lighting, who knows. The plus is that they gifted a cake for my daughter's bday which was unexpected and a pleasant surprise.
