It’s hard to say whether the food or the service is better here. Both are really excellent. I am so grateful to have this wonderful patio open!
Everything was good but sitting inside was a little underwhelming. It was night time and cold out so we could not sit outside so sitting inside was a let down compared to how outside looked.
The brunch was overall good. We ordered Salmon Benedict and Steak&Eggs, the steak was overcooked. Salmon Benedict isn't the best, but the taste is alright. Will definitely go back for the patio next time. im also willing to give the dinner a try.
Very limited menu but seemed a very Covid safe space
Brunch on the patio is always a treat. The food truly is lovely and the price is very fair. But it is the friendliness and professionalism of the staff that really seals the deal. So happy that outdoor dining here continues to be a possibility!
The food was absolutely marvellous! That salmon was so soft and delicious! It was literally melting in my mouth. That is how delicious it was! My complements to the kitchen stuff and chef! Service was very good! And oh my....drinks were delicious too!
Definitely I will be back!
Best of luck guys, I will see you very soon!
Amazing food and ambiance! Excellent service. Salmon was spectacular :D
I would definitely come here again. The service and food were both outstanding. Definitely worth the price.
Sparse decor. Sparse diners - just us 2 which made it easy to hear each other. As vegans, the menu is inclusive and adjustable and so delicious!
Food was presented beautifully and delicious.
We were lucky enough to sit at the patio, must go when you're in the area
Our first visit since it re-opened and we loved it. The waiter was helpful and really pleasant. I had the salmon benny and it was perfect. It felt very safe given were in a pandemic, with the tables spaced well apart. The outside tables looked inviting too, if you were there on a nice day.
Great food and location
Unfortunately computers not working so had to leave and find banks to pay in cash. Elevators not working so had to climb outside stairs.
Great food! Very good service!
The food was good, oysters were great, the braised beef was tender and delicious. We also ordered the cheese board to share, which was very nice.
The atmosphere was nice, but I feel like the seating could be more comfy.
The only other thing was they ran out of oysters so I had to wait 20mins if I wanted to order more, so I ordered something else instead.
I ordered the O'keefs pims as my drink, but they ran out of something so they could only make me one.
Also I mentioned when I reserved it was my friends birthday, but they didnt do anything special for it, or say anything about it.
The dessert we ordered was really delicious though.
It wasn't a perfect experience but I would probly go back.
I was very well welcomed to this tastefully decorated place, very good service, amazing food and wine, beautiful patio, what else? 🤔
Outside patio is really nice. Wish they had more heaters to stay warm. The inside is nice but would prefer outside when warmer.
Excellent outdoor space surrounded by greens in the midst of downtown
This was our second time there, tried some new dishes. The food made us wow again! People working there added credits to this dining experience! We will definitely go back again. ! Thank you 1932 galley bistro !
I came back to eat and recommend this Bistro to others. All aspects were very good, however as a result of the technique used in the kitchen to poach the eggs for eggs-benedict, one touch of the knife and the air bubble around the egg yolk burst open in a big splash of egg yolk over plate and table. It was also on the cool side to eat. Otherwise a great place.
We loved our lunch on the patio. Had a heater nearby..it was wonderful
Great spot for brunch or a coffee on the fly. Tastefully decorated with wonderful upbeat staff. A hidden gem in the city
We spent a wonderful time having lunch. The beet salad was delicious.
This quiet garden patio with excellent social distancing is, to quote my guests, "A Hidden Gem".
Daniel is a very friendly, efficient, and professional server who goes beyond our expectations. He is an exceptional individual and employee.
We will be looking forward to dining at the Bistro again!
The salmon bowl was outstanding. The fish was crisp on the outside and moist to the bite. Plentiful and delicious. Expresso was excellent. Good value for excellent quality.
It was perfect in every way!
This was a great option for outdoor dining enabling my friend and I to enjoy each other's company at a distance. The food was tasty, service was just right and the sun was shining!
Indoor seating looked inviting, with well-spaced tables. We'll definitely return.
Great ambiance and our server, Frank, was very gracious, friendly and an excellent host. I am looking forward to going back next week for a weekday brunch!
This is a very lovely outdoor setting in the middle of downtown.
Today, I had the roasted vegetables dish. It was delishhhh!!! I’ll be coming back for sure!!! Thank you!! Service was very friendly!! Loved it!!
Loved being outside and the food was amazing. Great service from our French waitress
A beautiful spot for happy hour. The beef short ribs were especially good, the wines fairly priced, and the service was excellent. I will be back!
Not sure I like the "new look" for the patio- seems somewhat "ordinary" compared to the former decor. We miss the trees, flower boxes, and birds. Silly me, I paid $21 for a 9 oz. glass of red wine which seems rather excessive. My partner was disappointed with the outfit of the hostess considering the simple elegance one would expect for what was once considered one of the nicer restaurants downtown- jeans, runners, and a wrinkled white shirt- all of which looked like they were on their second or third day. The atmosphere we were expecting did not materialize for us. Quiche was great, as always.
Impressed with both food and drink menu. Interesting ingredients and combinations
Our server was fantastic (sorry, I don't recall his name!!)
Beautiful space. We opted to sit indoors only cause it was a bit chilly but the patio here is amazing. The brunch menu has a little something for everyone and it's reasonably priced for downtown Vancouver.
A gem inside the art gallery!delicious food and good atmosphere! Daniel was our server. He made our dinner more joyful! Will definitely go back !
No longer for dine and dash and a little pricier than the old operation but good value considering the quality and service. They’re doing an excellent job in strange times.
Bbq mushroom eggs benedict was amazing! Great quality at a decent price.
