   Enjoyed dinner at Aanch with family and friends, very good ambience and food. We had ordered Spinach Kabab, chicken tikka and lamb sheikh kabab for appetizers. All were tasty and vey succulent. Having very smooth and tasty Sheekh Kabab after decades, it kind of tasted like Galouti kabab. For main course biriyani butter chicken paneer tikka daal and nan were par excellence. Staff were very pleasant helpful and had big smile. Thank you will definitely visit again

   Came here after the WNBA game. Great food, amazing service, very attentive. We forgot to order rice with our entrees (I am used to it coming with our meal at my local Indian restaurant), so remember to order it! My Palak Paneer was top notch!

   My visit came from a recommendation I saw online. The staff was polite and friendly. But the menu was completely stained and wrinkled, not a good sign. I had the Mulligatawny soup which was so salty I left half of it. if not for that it would have been nice. Main entree was the vindaloo chicken and I'm sorry to say it tasted as if the sauce was store-bought. Pretty bland. And all of that was pretty expensive too. I am rarely disappointed by Indian food but this time I was.

    We went to Aanch as part of Winterlicious and we did not receive what was advertised/ordered. Portion sizes were very small but tasty. We would have been better off ordering ala carte. Service and ambiance was very nice. We would go back but stick to the regular menu items.

    I think it is good. But not very good. I have had more experimental Indian cuisine and I have had better tasting cuisine. I had high expectations but Aanch didn’t meet them. Other things like not having stuff on the menu was also kind of annoying.

    Upstairs seating has all the charm of a school cafeteria. Lots of sauce in dishes but little actual food— hard to find the shrimp and chicken in the curry dishes we ordered. Lentil dish was mush. We ordered extra basmati rice so we could sop up all the soupy saucy dishes. It was cold and grey. Naan lacked the pillowy texture of fresh baked — ours was crispy. Very pricy for what you get. There’s better Indian food in Toronto at those prices.

    The service was the real disappointment here. Inattentive and unhelpful. We felt judged for asking questions. They made us feel like we didn’t order enough, yet we didn’t come close to finishing what we had ordered. Some dishes were great, some were bland, but the experience overall a letdown.

    Raw Dal Bukhara - you are charging 24 $ for a raw dal…. The dahi kabab were smelly… I was on a business meal with my boss so was not able to say anything as it would be an insult to my culture and cuisine but what a terrible food you guys made and you charge so much for that pathetic food ???? The only thing that you guys know how to make is the garlic naan rest nothing Please recruit a better chef…. This is shameful

    First time visit. Clean welcoming environment. Very attentive friendly staff. Samosas appetizer large portion and tasty. Goat curry high on bones low on meat. Rice pudding dessert tasty but pricey for what it is.

    We have been many times before and loved it , however this time was terrible. We were seated after a long wait , menus were dirty and looked like the original . While we waited for our third person we finally placed a drink order and eventually 2 beer bottles were plonked down at our table , may we have glasses we asked . Our third person arrived at the same time glasses were delivered , we asked if we could order a drink for our newly arrived guest , the waiter just walked off . Eventually he came back , we ordered the extra drink , waited a while for them to take the food order , the starter first which we’ve had many times before , this time over cooked and not as light and tasty as previously . Main course arrived and OMG, all three dishes would have blown your head off , this place usually does default medium and all these dishes were extra hot , was the chef having a laugh at our expense , too Spicy hot to barely eat, rice pilau was more like gray grits , the nan was ok. This restaurant used to be delicate fusion of Indian food , served so beautifully and tasted incredible , I think the chef has fled .

    Thé restaurant is beautiful and petite, reminded me of all the restaurants in India. The food was great, with authentic flavours. But the highlight of the evening was the service! The staff members are very professional and friendly. There was no waiting time, and when they found out that we were out on a date, they surprised us with a complimentary Rasmalai dessert !

    It was Diwali lunch we had gone. Food was really good. We ordered the Peshawar chicken, mutton dum biryani, Dilliwalla chicken which was by far the best. Service was decent. Pricing was fine.

    The two of us had an absolutely delicious meal. Every bite was superb!!! Their website promotes the food as light modernistic Indian. I’m not Indo-Canadian or an expert on Indian food, although I travelled there for three weeks a decade ago. The dishes seem quite traditional, unlike the food I had when I ate at My Shanti in Vancouver, where the food was certainly modernized, light, and local. My friend and I ordered the excellent appetizer platter; four different appetizers each. Then I moved on to a Kerala curry, which was coconut based; I ate all of the shrimp but only half the sauce. The combo meant that I was very full and burping for hours afterwards…. Service was friendly but a little confused and some things need to be spruced up, such as our crumpled menu. Lovely music was playing. I would eat here again.

    Delicious layered flavours in the curries, and the fried cheese dumplings with cardamom were delicious. The naan was a bit on the crispy side, and the fried appetizers were a bit hit and miss (one was excellent; one was bland and nothing to write home about), but the curries and rice more than made up for it.     The food here was decent but the ambience was like a room in which you receive a free hotel breakfast. The service was quite rushed and although I had intended to have dessert, the waiter appeared with the bill without offering an additional course. For a meal before an event at Rogers Centre, it was efficient, but it certainly wasn’t the kind of experience I hoped for on my anniversary.
