Disappointing… food wasn’t the greatest and my friends drink had an overly strong ginger smell so her daughter smelt it and he yelled at us. He forgot to bring our appetizers and my son’s fried chicken sandwich was chicken thighs which was fine but it was burnt and really fatty. Our meals weren’t the greatest but were overpriced. Im not sure if he expected us not to tip due to his constant rudeness but he actually implemented a 18% tip in our bills. I got my bill first and noticed it so I said out loud guys the tip is already on there and he was so mad I told them as I think it’s because he was expecting us to miss it and give another tip. There were 3 families. 3 separate bills. 8 people total. So I asked the server if it was common practice to implement a tip on a bill like that. She said no only on groups of over 8 people. I said we had 8 people. She said your reservation was for 10. I said yes but there is only 8 of us. Then i said don’t worry about it. We won’t be back

My only complaint is that there was a large group seated in the main restaurant. A hockey team and parents of approximately 40-50 people, it was SO loud I could barely hear the 2 people talk sitting across from me at my booth. Would be nice if they had a separate room or space where they put large parties like this so that it didn’t affect the other diners as much.

Food and service was very good. Was quite loud partly due to a large party which possibly could have been moved to the lower level. Our table had a bench on one side with no backs. Very uncomfortable

Took a long time to order food from when we got our drinks. Should have ordered appetizer at the same time as drinks but didn’t get the opportunity until our food order was taken. Then the appetizer came out and shortly after the food. Ordered one drink and had to ask for a second time.

Nice place, good beer and for the most part food was excelent. Unfortunately both our soup of the day was served luke warm; I ate mine as is, my friend sent it back and it came out hot. But an easily avoided stumble (seriously who doesn't eyeball the soup for steam?) in an otherwise great meal. Yorkies were excellent as was the Nutella Brownie!

We had such a great experience out for drinks and appetizers with friends! We were celebrating my birthday, and the servers made it such a special experience with outstanding service, a complimentary dessert, and brought roses to the table that they had been storing for hours after my hubby dropped them off earlier that day.

Our food took forever. I'm going to say 45 minutes. The tacos were terrible. Had to eat them with a knife and fork. Very sloppy and mushy. Should have sent them back. Also the 12oz beer was more like 6oz. Won't be back.

Sat out on the patio - great atmosphere. Bill was friendly and knowledgeable. Burgers and fries hit the spot, and the cheesecake was delish. Beers were good too - will definitely stop by when we're in town again!

This little gem in Ayr never disappoints. The wait staff is friendly and their food is delicious. I had the veggie burger with side Greek salad and my husband had the chicken club sandwich with fries—both perfectly proportioned and delicious!

Server was exceptional. One of our party was elderly and server was remarkably accommodating and patient to his needs. Frankly one of the best servers I have experienced anywhere. Food was great, ordered nacho platter with five dollar add on topping of braised beef. Platter arrived with minimal meat and after a lighthearted comment to the server they unexpectedly returned with fresh extra beef toppings. Fantastic recovery. We’ve been here several times, the food is consistently good, the portions tend to feel a bit light, but hey, we still come back.

The clubhouse was good. The bread was toasted and crispy. My boyfriend had the cheeto chicken sandwich and enjoyed it. I tried the lager beer which was light and crisp. Good hang out spot.

Overall, just okay. Food was better than most but a bit pricy and some of the sides were not hot. Its a bit tiresome having food service supplier pushing their "trendy" take on what makes them different i.e. "growler" brown bottle of beer to share rather than a traditional pitcher. Menu limited and a bit underwhelming. I'll give you one thing... location is Ayr is smart as the local choices for eating out are limited so this should contribute to your success. Over all a "B" minus.

Came in for a casual double birthday with a family group of 8. Beer was good. Most of the food for 6 of us was good, but the $32 Steak Frites was totally not worth it. Thin and not tender! Disappointing. Both Birthday boys were reluctant to complain because I was paying. Both declared later they’d not return. They know places to get the same steak on a sandwich for $20 or less. Makes me wonder. Maybe I’ll just stop for beer and fries in the future.

The service was good but the food (steak) was way under cooked and the security alarm sounded the majority of the time we were there. The pretzel appetizer came with way too much cheese sauce for the available bread. The cheese macaroni was overcooked and gritty. The steak fritze was way undercooked, full of gristle and the fries were cold after being overcooked. They got the beer and wine right ! The ambience would have been good if the door alarm had not been sounding.
