The Turkish lentil soup called Harira Soup was spicy and, as a result, had little noticeable taste of lentils. The large portion of King Salmon, ordered medium rare, had little flavor. At the bottom of the OpenTable restaurant confirmation I received, there was a notice stating that no reward points would be given for this restaurant, even though the check mark was in its proper place in the reservation placement sight. The restaurant charges a 4% fee if you use a credit card to pay the bill. They require a credit card number from you, to be placed on the OpenTable reservation sight, in order to make a reservation, no shows pay a $25 per fee.

It was my first time there. Super food and service. Everyone was very kind and helpful. We ordered KRUVIT (baked and seasoned cauliflower), which was excellent. Breads that came with Tahini, Matbuha, and eggplant salad, also excellent, and chicken Tanjin (a slow cooked chicken) with couscous, also excellent. Their dessert is to die for: Chocolate mousse and CheeseCake with some delicate lime flavor, this was out of this world, really! Overhaul, all was good and we definitely will return!

This was the worst experience possible. I had booked this restaurant via open table hoping to celebrate my moms 65th birthday and when we go to the restaurant, there was a massive lock on the door. The restaurant didn’t call us or give us a heads up. We travelled all the way from the upper west side to kips bay only to find out the doors were shut. Very disappointed with this experience and would like to understand what Accent and OpenTable will do compensate for this bad experience?

As a starting point, the food here is superb, maybe some of the best Israeli / Mediterranean food I've tried in the city. From the hummus to the eggplant to the lamb to the fish, the kitchen kept sending out one delicious dish after another. And the bar was right behind them with tasty drinks. The big issue is the service -- it is friendly but overwhelmed. I don't know if someone called in sick but it took 30 minutes to seat us (even though I had to put down a credit card and risk being charged $100+ if my group did not show up) and then hit and miss in ordering, serving and even getting us the check. If they could hire one more server, this place could be a machine.

Had a wonderful time at Accent! Visited with two friends during a visit to the city and would love to return. Wait staff and owner were so kind and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. We had the Sunday hummus and wine deal which was an awesome deal and very delicious! Hummus came w pita and a side of garnishes (pickles, onions, etc.). We also had a chicken dish which we shared, as we had recently eaten before visiting and weren’t overly hungry. Loved this dish! The sweet owner brought us a chocolate mousse with halva topping she made that was amazing!!! Great ambiance. Very much recommend for any occasion.

It was awful; required to give $125 credit card deposit & when 5 of us arrived - we were seated at a table for 4 & they wouldn’t accommodate us & seat us at a larger table. Poached pear in our salad still had the supermarket sticker on it. 2 entrees arrived & then the 3rd arrived 10 minutes after that & the 4th arrived another 10 minutes after that. Didn’t clear dishes before bringing entrees. Didn’t take “sticker salad” off the bill until I requested it. Offered us free shots to make up for the lousy experience. Entrees pretty bad. Only thing worth recommending was the bread & dips - though they only give you enough bread for 2 people then charge for additional bread.

We had a really nice time, and the bread and dip sampler was excellent, just right for a starter. Then we each had an entree and it was plenty for us - good portion sizes. The service was also excellent and they were gracious about seating us early when we were still waiting for one of our party. I would definitely recommend it!

The food was terrific. The service was unremarkable, especially on an evening in which there were very few parties seated. The noise level was unpleasant. Our party of three was seated at a small table in the back of the restaurant and we couldn’t hear each other. Most galling, though, waa a charge of $3 for a second portion of bread to consume all of the dips we ordered. Seriously?

This was my first time visiting Accent. I truly enjoyed my evening, the Thanksgiving Prix Fixe Menu was divine. The staff was very friendly and the other consumers seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. I highly recommend the salmon and the chocolate mousse.

Absolutely delicious meal. Service was great and the food arrived quickly. Make sure you start with the dips, because the freshly baked bread was a strong highlight of the meal (although the portion size for the dips was a little on the small side). Osso buco was also a standout!
