located in the heart of charming Arroyo Seco, ACEQ restaurant is unique and eclectic. Chef and Owner Elijah Safford takes pride in sourcing the best quality ingredients, eclectic and exciting wines, craft beers and fantastic cocktails. At the young age of 23 Chef Safford has managed to take ACEQ to new heights. Backed by a team of service industry veterans and professionals, ACEQ strives for true quality service and experience. The art and passion that ACEQ represents can be felt the minute you walk through the door.

When you join us, there are a few things you can not miss out on, locally sourced Wangus steaks, the Whisky Basil cocktail and of course the Bison Chile Fries. ACEQ has food for everyone. Any dietary restriction will find something tasty. Don't be afraid to strike a conversation with your server and allow them to guide you through your experience

While the food was fantastic, made with innovation with a nod to classic recipes, the service was less than attentive and youthfully condescending. The ambience was spare and spacious, both good things, but the noise level of vaguely techno style music coupled with conversation reverberation made having a conversation difficult. We will be back for the food, but will be more selective where we sit and will be more tolerant of youthful aloofness.

The food at Aceq Restaurant is outstanding! The service was excellent. Unfortunately, one person at one table ruined the entire evening for us because her voice was loud and piercing, and she talked nonstop throughout the evening. The staff was sympathetic but couldn't shut that woman up. They moved us to another room as far away from her as possible, but it was still intolerable. Perhaps some acoustic tile on the ceiling might help alleviate the acoustics issues in the building.

What a delight after an hour and half drive. We were met by a lovely young maître D who was attentive throughout the evening and surpassed only by cheerful and bubbly Amanda. Amanda brought her A-game with historical facts, charm and laughter. She was outstanding, bright eyed and happy to serve. Our food choices guided gently by her were on point and oooo la la the desert (key lime) raised the bar to another level. Thank you Chef Marla…

Aseq is smaller than I thought it would be, and the degree of artisanship is high. My partner and I were fortunate enough to get a reservation for a rainy Saturday night in August early on Saturday afternoon. Our meals were chef’s kiss delicious! Our waiter was lovely, genuinely interested in serving our needs. The ambiance was lovely. Highly recommend!

Our first experience at Aceq was wonderful. We will definitely return when we are in Northern NM. We had a 6pm reservation and we were seated in the main dining area. However, there was a large table right next to us and the noise was bothersome. So I asked if we could move into the bar and the hostess was happy to accommodate us as soon as two places opened up, which was almost immediately. We were much more comfortable in there. We could watch all the action in the kitchen and behind the bar. Bar servers with friendly and attentive. They have an array of special cocktails that looked very interesting, however we stuck to wine that night. We started with the pork belly appetizer and the corn ribs; both delicious. Then we had the duck and the stuffed portobello. Also wonderful flavors. It was really too much food but it was so good we couldn't resist. We took tow desserts to go; the peanut butter pie and the butter cake. Everything is homemade and so special. Well worth a stop at the charming, hip establishment.
