Restaurant and food was good. Went for a date night with my girlfriend since we purchased a Groupon. Was very unimpressed that the server added a 15% tip already on the bill. Luckily I seen it before tipping again. I feel adding a 15% tip on a bill with 2 people is wrong. I always tip well, but was angry she felt the need to add that tip already in. Will definitely not be returning.
Interested in their $10 items. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a Groupon. Two apples ($15 each), two mains ($25 each) and a shared desert for $60. Good deal and good food, but we weren’t expecting such a large up-sell.
Shrimp and calamari were as expected, lamb shank was as good as home made, chicken carbonara (wrong order) was very good and the spicy chicken cordon bleu (free, correct order) was very nicely presented.
Piano bar on fridays was a nice touch. We were staying at this hotel otherwise probably wouldn’t have come across it. Food was pretty good but I ordered the ribs and they tasted re-heated then covered in bbq sauce. Server never did ask if our food was ok and I had to ask for a finger bowl.. thought that was a common thing with ribs especially when atmosphere was nice and classy. We only had 1 drink, would if had atleast 1 more but again never was asked. My husband enjoyed his salmon and the calamari and prawn apple was good. Cheers!
I went here for the Easter Brunch. $39/pp + tax. I and my guest were very disappointed. We arrived for 12pm seating. The cold and hot food looked like it had been sitting there for a while. nothing looked fresh. The English muffin for the Eggs Florentine was as hard as a rock. You couldn't cut through it with a knife. The egg was also not very warm. The pancakes were curled up on the edges so hadn't been fresh for a while. The cannelloni was very pasty. I couldn't finish it. The only thing that was good, was the carved beef. The servers were all in a corner chatting with each other. Not watching the people sitting at the table, waving our hand to try and get a coffee refill. It was a complete waste of our money $100+ with tip for 2 people.
Ambience was great especially with a pianist singing and playing at the same time. Service was good. The food is alright. Nothing really outstanding and probably shouldn't expect too much.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We had the 'herb crusted' salmon and the steak and salad. Very tasty and decent sized portions. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. I'm sure we'll be back again
We arrived at 11 for our reservation, the buffet food was still not out. We finally went for food at 11:30, and some items were cold but food was tasty.
The restaurant was practically empty. The value is not there, the buffet has downtown prices but not the same experience nor value.
It is a shame that so much food went to waste, the staff tried their best but the experience fell short.
I will not be returning nor recommending aqua, there was so much opportunity for this to go well but the chance has passed.
