Food wasn't anything special. Steak was good but everything else was just meh... staff friendly though!
What a lovely dining experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends. The menu choices are good and the food was excellent. They have live piano music, very entertaining, and lovely surroundings. I was surprised there weren't more people dining there.
Food was mediocre. Salmon was over seasoned for my liking. Waitress was sloppy and forgetful;meaning spilling coffee, soup spilling on side of bowl etc. Value for price is just not there.
The foods were good, but it was hard to find a parking spot and not FREE PARKING. Maybe a small food portion.
The food was excellent and the service, in the end was good. It was difficult to begin with and it took a while for us to receive a menu and our food, but the taste was great and the amount was just right. Some people might think it isn't much, but it is rich and tasty and filling. I would reccomend this restaurant for a date night with your significant other or friends.
Really slow service. The environment wasnt that great either. Was my first time trying at the restaurant. Pictures of the restaurant did does not compare to how it really is like in person. Tried the dine out menu. Both appies were not good. But everything else was good. Was a good experience but wouldn’t be going back or recommend to others
This is a restaurant off to the side of the lobby in a hotel. The lounge is almost part of the lobby as there is no wall separating them. The restaurant blends into the lounge but is slightly further away.
The food was okay, but over priced for the quality and environment in my opinion. That being said they have a great happy hour. If I was staying in the hotel I would eat here I guess, but then again if you walk less than 5 minutes you have 5 better choices.
Acqua is a casual dining restaurant in the newly renovated Executive Inn. Comparable menu to Cactus Club next door but with a less hip decor. The piano player seems to believe that adding trills and florishes to every note of old standards makes them fresh and new. It just makes them noisy and annoying. Service was friendly and prompt. Food met our expectations for a casual restaurant.
Thanks to Acqua Restaurant and Open Table, our plans for Christmas dinner were ruined. We were directed to Open Table from the Acqua Restaurant website. From there we requested a time of 7:00 pm, but the Open Table website indicated that the only open times were between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. We had not planned on brunch but since no evening times were available, we decided to take the 10:00 am reservation. We also received three messages from Open Table confirming our reservation. We got to the restaurant on Christmas morning and there was nothing - the staff said that there was NEVER a Christmas brunch, only an evening meal. No one at Acqua/Executive Hotel apologized or offered any indication that they cared that our plans for a family Christmas meal were ruined. Thanks Acqua. Thanks Open Table. A bad screw up for which no one has taken responsibility or offered any apology or courtesy. On the other hand, the service and food at Thai Son was excellent as usual!
Went for Christmas dinner buffet @ 6:45 the food was very tasty however had to dig under the dry top layer, no one at the carving station, meat was cold as it was put by the opening door. Not asked for 2nd drinks, waiter was miserable as was the bar tender. Food staff was great. They starting breaking down the side room while we were still eating and we had to listen to that noise of stacking chairs and collapsing table, certainly didn’t give a nice peaceful Christmas dinner. Just felt we were bothering them, apparently they moved some peoples reservations up but not ours, it was just a few tables by 7:00, kinda ruined the whole experience as it was like we were a bother to our waiter. Such a shame that no one made an effort other than the kitchen staff. There was also a piano player who was to play until 8:00, which I was enjoying until they cut him at 7:20.....we did not get what we were led to believe.
Wonderful and attentive service. Food was delicious and very good value!
Food was overcooked, bland but mostly overpriced! Our pasta was overcooked and way too soft. Four of us had pasta dishes and the portion sizes were variable. We also ordered chicken strips from the $10 menu. 4 small chicken strips for $10 is very overpriced. $4 extra for fries. Feeding my child ended up costing $24 and he was still hungry. Service was ok but perhaps too attentive. We also had calamari which was fine but again overpriced at $15. It also inexplicably came after our main courses. We probably won’t return due to the lack of value. Also, they included gratuity on the bill for a party of six. Very strange...and when paying by card, you don’t really have the option to tip less unless you make a stink about it.
Family present with two young children and poor parenting skills did not add to evening meal.
Back ground music might have helped mediate the issue.
Reservation was not held for us, had to wait, not even directed to bar for drinks while we wait, steak was way underdone, desert icecream was melted by the time we recieved it, service sucked. Do not go here!
Restaurant and food was good. Went for a date night with my girlfriend since we purchased a Groupon. Was very unimpressed that the server added a 15% tip already on the bill. Luckily I seen it before tipping again. I feel adding a 15% tip on a bill with 2 people is wrong. I always tip well, but was angry she felt the need to add that tip already in. Will definitely not be returning.
Interested in their $10 items. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a Groupon. Two apples ($15 each), two mains ($25 each) and a shared desert for $60. Good deal and good food, but we weren’t expecting such a large up-sell.
Shrimp and calamari were as expected, lamb shank was as good as home made, chicken carbonara (wrong order) was very good and the spicy chicken cordon bleu (free, correct order) was very nicely presented.
Piano bar on fridays was a nice touch. We were staying at this hotel otherwise probably wouldn’t have come across it. Food was pretty good but I ordered the ribs and they tasted re-heated then covered in bbq sauce. Server never did ask if our food was ok and I had to ask for a finger bowl.. thought that was a common thing with ribs especially when atmosphere was nice and classy. We only had 1 drink, would if had atleast 1 more but again never was asked. My husband enjoyed his salmon and the calamari and prawn apple was good. Cheers!
I went here for the Easter Brunch. $39/pp + tax. I and my guest were very disappointed. We arrived for 12pm seating. The cold and hot food looked like it had been sitting there for a while. nothing looked fresh. The English muffin for the Eggs Florentine was as hard as a rock. You couldn't cut through it with a knife. The egg was also not very warm. The pancakes were curled up on the edges so hadn't been fresh for a while. The cannelloni was very pasty. I couldn't finish it. The only thing that was good, was the carved beef. The servers were all in a corner chatting with each other. Not watching the people sitting at the table, waving our hand to try and get a coffee refill. It was a complete waste of our money $100+ with tip for 2 people.
Ambience was great especially with a pianist singing and playing at the same time. Service was good. The food is alright. Nothing really outstanding and probably shouldn't expect too much.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We had the 'herb crusted' salmon and the steak and salad. Very tasty and decent sized portions. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. I'm sure we'll be back again
We arrived at 11 for our reservation, the buffet food was still not out. We finally went for food at 11:30, and some items were cold but food was tasty.
The restaurant was practically empty. The value is not there, the buffet has downtown prices but not the same experience nor value.
It is a shame that so much food went to waste, the staff tried their best but the experience fell short.
I will not be returning nor recommending aqua, there was so much opportunity for this to go well but the chance has passed.
