The food was exceptional and the service was great (our waiter was very knowledgeable about the dishes and very entertaining ). I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We had ordered Masala Chai, but did not receive it and had to bring it to the server's attention. After a small argument the chai was changed to Masala Chai.
Best Indian food in Vaughan. First time caller but will will be back. Amazing service and food. Thank you.
The food in this restaurant is really good. The service is extremely slow. We went for a work lunch and despite of telling our server we only have limited time and to bring food as its ready, it didn't happen. They took their sweet time and followed the process of appetizer, main, etc. Even for clean and payment we had to ask him 3 times to bring the bill and it was more important for him to clean up than bring the bill. We asked for split bills and he got than wrong. We were delayed as he went to fix the split and the system stopped working.
@Adrak: Buckle up with your service as if this slow service continues you might lose some customers despite of the food being delicious.
We found this by chance and enjoyed a great quiet dinner for our last meal in Toronto area. Wonderful staff that helped make it a great evening
worth the trip, one of the best indiannfoods I have ever had
Probably one of the best Indian Resto's that I have ever been to (including international Indian cuisine). Their service is incredible and friendly. They take the time to familiarize themselves with any dietary restrictions or allergies that you may have. I have a severe dairy contact allergy, and they actually took the time to create a dairy-free area in their kitchen and make all my requests completely contact-free. The food is authentic and tastes like real ingredients and delicious spices. Nothing is meaninglessly spicy, every flavour and fusion has a reason. I would definitely recommend this as one of the top Indian spots in the city. It's a little outside fo the city, but it is totally worth the drive, you will not be disappointed.
Excellent presentation, food tasted authentic, staff were very pleasant and the Manager, Varun was very accommodating.
Would definitely go back!
Food was good ;expensive for the amount you get; service is slow..
Our server was nice and friendly, however never came back to see how we were doing with drinks or food.
The food was delicious! Appreciate that the staff showed our friends how the tandoor makes the naan!
Went with a friend for a girls night. New menu since we were last there, but just as enjoyable. Service is fast and efficient. Food very tasty.
We went out here for a beer night out alone without the kids! I am both vegan and gluten intolerant, the restaurant was excellent at accommodating me. Server went to the back to speak to the shop, and came out with a list of things I would be able to eat.
The food and service was great. No complaints! It’s also a lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere, and ample parking. The music was rather loud, but not too loud to talk over.
This is my first review for Open Table. I simply had to write about how great this restaurant is. I love Indian food and I've been to many of the finer Indian restaurants around the city and this one is by far the best. There are many interesting options I haven't seen on other menus and all of the standard favourites are there, too. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The staff is excellent - attentive but in no way overbearing. And the food...perfect. It's fresh, hot, and perfectly spiced. Be sure to try the house specialty black lentils and the eggplant dish. I don't think I can go to any other Indian restaurant after tasting the food here!
Good food serving size small for the price Gets noisy when full and then the music gets louder so you basically can’t talk across the tables. Tables are meant for 6 or more ppl so if you’re a group of 4 it’s not great for conversation as you’re forced to speak loudly over the ambient noise and music. Serivce is spotty as is usual for an Indian restaurant. Not sure why this is true but we’ve come to expect it waiter kept reaching across us while we’re trying to talk to each other rather than moving sround the table to clear dishes. Wine is pricey and short list For a $300+ dinner for 4 with one bottle of wine I think it’s fair to expect better
Never disappoints! Fantastic changes to menu including an extensive vegetarian selection. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. Love the kebobs.
Loved the food and the service. Varun and Bhomik were great. A bit quiet for Thursday night. We will go there again. Highly recommended !
Expensive food, taste is ok not that great. Less quantity.
Adrak is OUTSTANDING! The Waiter we had was truly phenomenal. This is a great Restaurant, the food was incredibly tasty, perfectly prepared and presented. The staff are attentive and unpretentious. This was one of the best Indian Restaurants I have been to EVER. I will be back. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT job everyone at ADRAK. Congratulations.
It was very nice to meet the owners and talk to them.
Food was excellent, service was well above what you normally would expect. The manager was very open to our observations and suggestions. Definitely on my list of go to restaurants in area.
Adrak brings a modern and refreshing twist on the traditional Indian cuisine. There are many Indian restaurants in the GTA but in most of them one can find quite the same menu items. Adrak's menu offers some traditional dishes alongside more original and unique ones. Such was the excellent stuffed onion and the potato loops (see photos). The traditional dishes were also excellent. We had a lamb Biryani served in a Naan-covered bowl (see photos) and chicken Korma - both among the finest we've had in Canada. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is simply excellent. Prices aren't the cheapest, but they are more than reasonable considering what you're getting in return. I highly recommend Adrak and we would definitely come again.
Superb food and excellent customer service! We were surprised that they have a no gratuity policy. Will visit again soon!
The appetizers were okay but the quantity was not enough for the price paid. There was nothing new about the food as curries were very boring and had no distinct sharp taste. Was were expecting more from this fine dining restaurant but was disappointed with the quality of food and service. Perhaps revamping the menu and narrowing down to few items that can be justified to a food critic can be a good start and later on expand as you bring specialized chef. Concentration should be on the food than on the ambiance for now.
My husband and I, along with a friend were craving Indian food with a nicer atmosphere than typical Indian restaurants in the city. We had all been to Adrak before, so chose to go there. We were not disappointed; the ambiance is really lovely for a Saturday night dinner and this is matched with the friendly service and delicious food. We were well taken care of by Dilawar Nindra and the rest of the staff. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish and I especially appreciated their willingness to make some dishes dairy free as I am allergic to dairy. We will be back!
Had dinner with family. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Service was awesome and Food was so delicious. Will be back definitely!
Lovely restaurant. Food was outstanding and service impeccable
Excellent food, service and atmosphere!! Highly recommend the masala
Have never been disappointed with the food or service. The egg plant, shrimp and of course the garlic naan is always a hit for my teenaged kids.
Amazing Service and Food
Sujeewan's service was excellent
Will return soon..
Excellent food and customer service but a little pricey!
My husband and I have been to Adrak many times. They had recently changed the menu and the usual dish I ordered was spicier than I expected. The manager could not do enough to try and make the experience better from offering to re cook the dish to offering another dish instead. It was really fantastic and overall the food is fresh, and very sophisticated.
I spent $150 for food that did not taste like authentic India food. I do not mind paying more, but it should be value for money. The biryani was like plain rice, and dont get me started about the butter chicken. Only thing ok was the bbq sampler. I am not happy with the food and will never go back. It was a waste of my money. I had high expectations. Service and staff was excellent, but am sorry that was not authentic Indian food. I eat around a lot, and I know the difference between good and bad food. Unfortunately, this restaurant is off of my list and would not recommend it to even an enemy.
We booked a large group for an early Father's Day dinner. We have been to Adrak several times as a family and have not been disappointed. The round booths are great for large groups, spacious and private. The server we had for this past dinner was fantastic as well as the rest of the staff. The food is flavorful, there is a good cocktail menu and the serving sizes are generous.
Food was really good! Some new dishes which you won't find in traditional places. Also the bread is made fresh in front of you.
Portion of the food was small compare to the price
If I am to point out the single negative point... expect slowness in food preparation. Otherwise, awesome place.
The service was excellent. Very disappointed with the food. Ordered chicken pakoras and we received pub style breaded chicken strips, what was totally unacceptable. Food presentation was good but bland in taste and more in line with what you would get at a buffet style restaurant where all dishes taste the same. The naans and kawabs were the only saving grace.
This was our visit after a while and seems things have changed. Using frozen veggies in what is the so called vegetable Biryani, tips in only cash, not refilling the water until you remind them. Mentioned on the phone that it was a special occasion to be told that we have a good menu and we can’t do anything beyond that but we can bring the beetroot halwa with a candle on a charged basis. Ok that’s fine...not a problem. But the server was least interested and just gave the bill and didn’t bring it. Anyways, conclusion of 4 people on the table. Last visit to a so called high end Indian restaurant with a very cold welcome. I hope they improve the service as it once used to be with friendly staff and much better food quality.
Great restaurant! Will definitely be back! The staff are phenomenal!
