    I booked this restaurant in advance for my sister’s 25th birthday. When we arrived, we were made to wait extra time and eventually we were seated at a booth. I previously sent a message to the restaurant letting them know it’s my sister’s birthday and we really wanted something special to be done for her and they sent me a message saying they agreed. They did bring out a candle on the dessert, but the entire experience felt very underwhelming. As a Michelin star restaurant, I expected better treatment and service from the staff but I can honestly say I’m simply disappointed but not surprised. The food was good, their greatest strength is their decor and their cocktails. I personally think they should convert this place into a cocktail bar instead… Overall, food was good, cocktails were great, ambience is nice and the decor is beautiful, however this is definitely not a 5 star experience. I’ve been to other restaurants in Yorkville and I must say this is one of the less enjoyable ones.

    This was my second time at this location, and the food experience was much better than the first. Even though my first time was 10/10, this tops it. Each dish is full of flavors and spices that leave you wanting more. The Rani Kachori was my favorite dish of the night, but each plate we ordered was amazing. I highly recommend breaking your meal down into 3 courses so you are able to try everything and not get too full. The only issues I have is that the service can be a bit better as the waiters are not very attentive of your needs unless you wave them down. Also, we were told we’d have a time limit on our table which we did not follow since I find that ridiculous for the amount we spent. Also, where you’re out, you want to enjoy your time, not be rushed out. Aside from that, we food was 11/10.

    Food was very good but service was disappointingly rude for such a high end experience. We were told when we arrived that they had another reservation coming in two hours, something they hadn’t told us beforehand. One of our dishes never came, server disappeared on us never offering to refill our waters (we actually had to go grab the jug ourselves) and we were rushed out of there without being asked if we wanted dessert. The server just brought us the bill and told us there was a huge line outside. Won’t be going back.

    Food was good. Patrani macchi and thecha paneer was good. Onion bhajia were onion rings! Huge difference ! Only soutj asian will know. Taste was good ut cant make a bhajia wrong? Can you? Hence low rating. This restaurant has a serious problem with service staff being too personal to a point to make my guests uncomfortable. The staff is annoyingly condescending to force you in to buying something you dont want. We had ordered jhinga and we eat it with naan . Even the curry. But this wait staff kept coercing us into steamed rice and mist of it got wasted. Some privacy and boundry should be good. One good thing though was that the staff coukd speak my guests native indian language which was seperate from hindi. So the elderly visitors with low english were able to express themselves. Please work on your service. Dont make it chaotic or too much personal question. Understand the clients. We dont come to restairants to give out personal details to wait staff or to soend the evening chatting with wait staff. We need to be able to chat with our group!

    If there were a zero star category “exceptionally poor” I would have chosen that one. I have grown up with South Asian food both at home and at restaurants, and Adrak has been the single worst South Asian food experience I have ever had. The totally overcooked macchi completely lacked seasoning, let alone spice - worse than the blandest British grub. The koftas were completely tasteless. The jhinga were undercooked and even the random chillies the cook had thrown at them did not do anything to save the dish from going back barely eaten. I should also add that I have rarely seen staff as absent minded as Adrak‘s. All was topped by the most outrageous bill I have ever received for lousy food. In short, an experience never again to be repeated..

    The service was impeccable. The cocktails were great. The food was also good, but a bit pricey for what you get. I did enjoy my experience overall. I would mention that when it came to making reservations, I wanted to reserve a time around 7pm, but was not able to online. So I booked for 6pm. We got there at 6pm, and by the time 7pm came around, the restaurant was not even half full. And secondly, when I did make the reservation, there was a $60 charge per person that I had to agree to, if I did not make it to my reservation. I always intended to attend at the time I reserved. But the charge in general is not something I appreciate. And much less when the restaurant was barely half full. I went on a Thursday evening.

    Disorganized and inconsistent service. Neat appetizers with underwhelming main courses not worthy of a Michelin star. $300 for two people and way less impressive than George or Pastiche for the same price range.

    The most special restaurant! The service is impeccable, the food was amazing and large portions for what you order as well. We were two people and had plenty of leftovers to take home. A very special, unique restaurant in Toronto

    The food was very good and presented very well. Service was really good. One complaint is they push to explain the menu and recommend certain things (which happen to be the most expensive dishes). But all in all, the food was very good and the service overall was exceptional. Would definitely come back.

    I had not realized that this resto was the recipient of a Michelin star! It made our evening all that more interesting as I was curious to see what allowed it to earn such a distinction. The welcome was excellent, design beautiful, explanation of menu, thorough, and drinks, delicious! We ordered lamb chops, an appetizer selection, lamb biryani, butter chicken, chaat, beef stir-fry, vegetarian medley, etc., with an assortment of naan, and all was delicious. Highly recommend. There are other Indian restaurants with as good food, and this joins as one of the best!

    Outstanding food and service. Just didn't appreciate the overall attitude of the Management. Made a reservation for 6 and wanted to add another person last moment as we had an additional guest. The management agreed but insisted that we have a minimum spend of 100$ per person (i.e. 700$ in total). After some discussion, they agreed to waive it as we did not want to feel pressured into spending. We had a great time celebrating a special event and did have drinks, appetizers, and food. The bill was much more than the minimum spend of 700$ and I tipped them well but didn't appreciate the way the manager handled it. My feedback to management - if you position yourself as a classy restaurant, handle situations with grace. You'll have better word-of-mouth referrals and more loyal customers. Thank you. PS: Washrooms could be a bit more cleaner especially one

    Hands-down the best Indian food experience in Toronto. From the ambience, lighting and decor to the detailing of the menu. It had everything. The cocktails were out of this world, The Himalayan, in particular was fire. Mouth watering dal makhani and kari pata chicken. The tikka masala was probably a step too oily for our liking. Overall 9.5/10. Already planning my next meal.

    Wow! Everything 10/10, from food to service and overall experience! I love how attentive all the members of staff were during my experience at Adrak, felt like I was at home! I dined with my Indian friend and she too was thoroughly impressed with how authentic and delicious the flavours of our dishes were! Would highly recommend Adrak and will definitely be visiting again!

    Really nice new Indian restaurant in Yorkville! We went for our wedding anniversary and quite enjoyed the food, service and aesthetics of the place. It was louder than we thought it would be, especially for a Thursday night but I can totally see the appeal. One of the better indian restos in the city for sure!

    The best Indian food. Both the servers Male were so good. From greeting to the end everything was so good. I celebrated my birthday there felt like i am having food in india the way it is being served is the best part about the restaurant. Must visit place with family & friends.

    Food was delicious. Highly recommend the non-veg tasting platter. Cocktails were elegant and thoughtful. Service was friendly but not as attentive as it should have been. My wine was opened 10 minutes after the meal was served. Great atmosphere and decor.
