    The high tea experience was very good. The tea was slightly bland however and was not strong enough for either my or my guests palates. Food was good and plentiful, the scones were especially noteworthy. Good service.

    Whole experience was fantastic, couldn’t fault the service and our amazing waitress Sona who was very personable and made us feel completely at ease. The food was well presented and was very well balanced. Overall experience left me wanting to come back to try more. Well done Langham Sydney

    The savoury component 1 was very good 3 were average. Sweet component 2 were very good and 2 were good. Coffee was an average hotel coffee, not freshly made for order. The tea was very good. Alcoholic drinks were nice.

    The staff were lovely and helpful, I had my mother in law with me and they could have spoken louder and slower for her to hear them better. The food was tasty, I was sad there were not more sandwiches. I ordered the masala chai and it was awful. If people don't know how to make it then it should not be on offer. It was white, tasteless and milky and had not been boiled long enough. I felt like I had wasted me tea suggestion.

    Food was VERY basic, especially the savory items. Given it was Anna Polyviou, I would have anticipated something far more creative. Egg sandwich, chicken and mayo roll, tiny prawn cocktail and a cold goats cheese tart. There was nothing even slightly warm. The sweet items were better, but the jam for the scones was very liquid. For the children they could have had some alternative items on their trays. Our girls left most of their food uneaten. An example the Langham should follow is the children's afternoon tea at Lilianfels, which has far more child-friendly items. Given Anna had a kids baking book being promoted, seems to have missed a trick. Also wasn't impressed that an additional glass of champagne was $40. A whole bottle of Tattinger is $80 RRP, so the margin they're making is outrageous. Service was ordinary, so overall it was underwhelming, which was disappointing because I was hoping it would be a really special occasion for my friend's birthday.

    The staff were very attentive (but not pushy and left us alone to enjoy our food) and catered for my nut allergy very well. My food was served completely separately and the nut free alternatives were very good. The food was almost too pretty to eat but we forced ourselves (!) and found is tasted just as good as it looked.

    Great place to have high tea, very restful, and food was delicious! The staff were excellent , had a great knowledge of the menu. The surrounds were beautiful! Can't wait to go again.

    Hi I was disappointed with the high tea particularly as it was a Mother's Day gift from my daughters. I had been looking forward to the Anna Polivou high tea but alas it fell short of my expectations. The savoury selection was quite ordinary. The egg sandwich average. I had half a prawn tail in my prawn cocktail with hardly any prawn meat on it. The scones were tiny, flat and rather doughy. The sweet selection was lovely but more savoury selection would have been far more preferable. Overall underwhelming, not great value and disappointing.

    The food is acceptable - some highs (the sweets) and lows (dried out bread on the sandwiches). The whole experience was lacking any wow factor... nothing special sadly though the staff were friendly.

    High Tea was delightful. The food was excellent, the service was impeccable and the ambience was outstanding. We enjoyed everything about our experience and would certainly recommend both High Tea and the Hotel. We are thinking of coming into the Hotel for dinner one night as we were so pleased with our experience.

    To whom it may concern, Yesterday was a lovely day at the Langham. It was for my mum a late Mother’s Day gift. Just somethings to improve on : 1.There was a large group which made a lot of noise which made it difficult to enjoy . Large groups should be separate . The food was great but more variety to savoury would be nice. Perhaps some soft music, candles burning to give a nice and added ambience. The service was impeccable great and lovely staff. Will return to the Langham. Kind regards

    Service at The Langham was AMAZING! The booking system however was frustrating though, as you could only book your dog and not the accompanying people. A separate call to the hotel was required to ensure dogs and owners were booked onto the same tables. Food offerings in general were excellent, however the savoury egg-free options for people could have been better, given the amount of notice given. Sweet egg free onions were great! Would definitely return and recommend overall

    The Langham is my usual High tea destination. Based on this last one, I wouldn’t attend again. I attended for Mother’s Day expecting it would be in the lovely couches/dining area. It was not. We were seated near the front door where lots of management/server discussions were occurring. The food arrived promptly (without the tea) It took three request till we finally received the tea (15mins in) The pie/quiche pastry was under baked Everyone received gift bags - my mum noticed we had not and I needed to ask for one for my mum. There was no attention paid to us once the food and tea arrived. Mum asked if she could have a glass of port instead of the champagne we’d signed up for. The waitstaff didn’t know what port was (took over 20mins to arrive and my glass of champagne wasn’t served till then). The scones and jams were amazing but they ran out so mum only got one.

    Very disappointing high tea experience from The Langham on Mother’s Day - rather than being in the regular high tea room, we were put in a very plain and ambience-free conference style room at the back of the hotel. Staff service was slow, we had a dirty table next to us for the entire time. The food was quite good, but at least 60% of a great high tea is the surroundings and these were very poor, and not my usual Langham experience, particularly when they charged an even higher premium price than normal. After this experience, I would not recommend going to The Langham for a special occasion like Mother’s Day.

    The staff is not 5 star standard to fit the price tag. They forgot drinks, bought out the wrong tea and were generally not very helpful. The exception was Anna Polyviou who has charismatic and made an effort to say hi and happy mothers day to all the tables.

    The tea was Greek themed; not a traditional English tea. It was also mediocre at best. Service was slow/non- existent. Only us and one other person in the tearoom.

    We arrived a couple of hours early as our plans changed during the day. The team were more than happy to accept us and we received exceptional service throughout. Every single item on the tea stand was delicious and I wish I lived in Sydney so I could come again

    Very disappointed in the Barbie afternoon tea. While I appreciate that they did the food in a barbie pink theme it was sickly sweet and I am a sweet lover. Such a shame it could have been done really well but unfortunately was very poor and as my daughter said,"the food was disgusting!" I feel very little thought or effort went into making the afternoon tea menu appetising.

    We arrived and were seated. After 15 mins we noticed people around us being served drinks and food and we had nothing. No one approached us to see if we needed anything and were left wondering if we did something wrong. Finally I called a waitress over who took our orders but it never arrived. People were finishing their afternoon when I asked for the manager who informed me the meal was 5-7mins away. She offered a discount as an apology but it was never applied to the bill. Beautiful location. Lovely food. Service very poor.

    Very disappointed! We arrived early and were one of the first to be seated. It took 40 mins to get a glass of water - and after I had to ask for it. Child’s high tea came after one hour of sitting waiting. The adult tea didn’t arrive til the child’s tea was almost finished - after I had to ask where it was. The sweet food looked good but was way too fancy and rich for young children so most of it was left uneaten. The rainbow milkshake consisted of jelly and mousse layers in a small long narrow glass but there was no spoon to eat it with so it was left uneaten. I had to get the attention of the waitress to ask for every single thing that we eventually got so it was as though there was no staff allocated to our table. The table next to us had the same wait and I think it’s a tall ask to expect young children to sit quietly for this long without anything. Overall, considering this was directly marketed to small children - Barbie high tea - we were very underwhelmed and after the excitement and build up of what was supposed to be a special day out with my grand daughter it turned out to be a VERY EXPENSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT.
