A longstanding tradition at Hotel Vancouver, Notch8 is delighted to welcome guests for Afternoon Tea service from Wednesday through Sunday!

If your tiny tot is joining, we offer a Children's Tea featuring kid-friendly finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. Afternoon Tea is served from Wednesday through Sunday only.

We are pleased to offer options catering to guests with specific dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, as well as dietary preferences including vegetarian diets. Please notify us at time of booking and we will be delighted to facilitate.

There is a 90 minute time limit for each reservation, if you have any questions or concerns prior to your visit please let us know.

    The most wonderful time of the year is upon us. What better way to enjoy an afternoon with friends and family than a festive afternoon tea experience at Notch8 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Indulge in delectable savoury fare, scones, and sweets made by our in-house pastry shop. If your tiny tot is joining, we offer a Children’s Tea that includes kid-friendly finger sandwiches, cookies, scones, and other delicious treats. It is sure to be an afternoon to remember. 90-minutes per seating. Cancellation policy and reservation changes: Kindly email the Festive Reservations Team at HVC.FestiveDesk@fairmont.com a minimum of 72 hours prior to the reservation to avoid a cancellation fee of $25 per person.

    We went to the afternoon tea for Thanksgiving. If you’ve been to the Empress, this location is nothing like that. The tea gets cold because there no candle warmer. The tea gets over steeped and bitter because there’s no tea timer or place to put the tea bag. They don’t bring fresh pots of tea, they only refill the bitter tea bags with more hot water. The food tasted a bit stale and you can see what you’re eating in the dark. The Thanksgiving offerings were not good. The food items are also not described (food runner doesn’t know what food is what). It’s loud and you’re in a dark room with a very low ceiling so it’s hard to talk. Honestly overall it wasn’t good and definitely not worth the value. It’s nothing like the experience that you get when you go to the Empress. Also no clotted cream?!

    Great location and dining room for a high-tea experience. Room was really well decorated with an Autumn fall theme and every table booked so had a good ambience. Despite being busy the service was great all round from start to finish. The food was also great although for us some more savory over sweet would have been preferred. We were so full we boxed up some sweet treats to take home. Great experience all round, recommended

    My daughter and I were truly surprised by the secret location to the tea room in the hotel and the Fall Decorations were absolutely beautiful. The food and tea choices were delightful. Service was fantastic. I hope to come back here again in the future

    Delectable high tea with vibrant Autumn colours and enticing cinnamon scent in the air. The hidden bookcase is a gem of a place—Estella was a charming host and brought a wealth of knowledge about the tasting menu and teas. It’s a fun brunch or celebration place—even date night would be brilliant here! Drinks are pricey so we didn’t try this time, perhaps the next 💜 thank you!
