If your tiny tot is joining, we offer a Children's Tea featuring kid-friendly finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. Afternoon Tea is served on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only.

Lovely afternoon “tipsy tea” at the Fairmont in downtown Vancouver. The scones were particularly delicious; so light and fluffy, but all of the selections were yummy. Service was outstanding, too. Highly recommend!

For a fancy place in a fancy hotel on a special occasion such as Mother's Day, the high tea stack was not impressing to say the very least. Scones, followed by egg sandwich, thin cucumber sandwich and a 3rd 1/2 tuna sandwich.... I may as well go to Tim Hortons and spend 1/10th of the price. How is that worth $80 a person??? The desserts on the lower stack were mediocre. A mint cheesecake, a brownie and one flavour macaron. Not much thought out into this assortment at all. No boxes or bags were offered when we asked for the bill. We had to ask. Waitress brought a SECOND bill for $0.16 to charge for the bag AFTER we paid the bill AND tipped her well. Unbelievable.

Mother’s Day High Tea. Aside from the scones, the quality of the food was a bit disappointing given I had been in about six months prior and the selection of sandwiches and desserts were far superior. For $160 for two, I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. I have definitely had better high tea experiences at other Fairmont properties.

This is a truly lovely experience. The history and atmosphere of the room is so interesting and really adds to the overall enjoyment. Food was perfect. I am gluten free and you would never know the food was all prepared gluten free. My server was absolutely exceptional!! It was a special occasion and I couldn’t have asked for anything to be better.

Would have preferred a quieter space. Large groups at some tables were loud and contributed a lot of unwanted noise which along with the music, undermined the calm spa-like ambience one normally expects to find as part of a high tea experience. Also missed having some windows/natural light - felt a bit like a basement space and somewhat claustrophobic. All in all, food and tea was good, but event felt more like a pub brunch/lunch experience than a classy high tea event. If the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver was catering to an inexperienced, younger, high tea audience it succeeded and that's why my wife and i will not be back.

My two colleagues and I had a nice outing for high tea as part of a retreat. Service was good, and the ambience was pleasant. The food was good, but not particularly spectacular. It was an overall nice experience but not so special to merit the cost per person.

Had an Easter High tea set on Sunday. The sandwich was quite dry otherwise tasted good. Rest of the items were savory. The highlight of the High tea was the scones, it was perfectly made, one of the best in town. Server was very friendly and helpful. Would be good if the surrounding lighting was less dim, a drawback for food photography enthusiast.

What a fun indulgence! The surroundings are very pretty, the food was super tasty & we couldn't finish it all... great signs for a perfect high tea. It is costly, but very enjoyable. We took our in-laws for their first time & they loved it.

Lovely experience, but not special - surprised I could not try a few teas? Would have liked the milk to be served warm and would preferred a few more sandwiches / less sweets. Good service and cozy atmosphere and I enjoy being in the hotel. Not sure if it was worth $200 - had 2 glasses of wine 5 ounce? Will return for lunch instead.

It was our first time doing afternoon tea. The service was wonderful and everyone super nice. The teas and the food was delicious, the only thing that I'd change is the ratio of sweets vs savory items. There were a lot of very sweet pastries that were all amazing, but in combination it was all just way too sweet and heavy. By the end we were really struggling to finish. Overall very good experience for a first timer, just not sure I'd do it again.

Due to Covid restrictions, we were moved to sit at the restaurant which was still nice. The food was good for the most part, except one of the sandwiches the crust was dry and hard which you don't expect at high tea from a place like this. Our server was very attentive. Close to the end of our seating, there was live music but it was too loud to hear over a normal conversation. Overall, for value, would not do this again.

Service from Treena was fantastic. We were seated in the far rear room, which was warm but cozy. Our first round of teas was 50-50 - I liked mine but my dates tea (Kangaroo) was VERY smoky. Recommend if you like campfires and Islay scotch, stay away if not. Some of the desserts had a “funky” smell… tasted great but smelled like they were stored in the same cooler as the savory foods. It was so strong to my date he was unable to finish. The service, however, was among the best we’ve had in Vancouver. Food smell aside, we’d highly recommend high tea at the gorgeous Fairmont Vancouver.
