The Brasserie has become synonymous with the North End of Halifax, the region’s most vibrant food destination, serving locally sourced product in an iconic neighborhood.

French inspired food in a stylish and vibrant atmosphere, the Brasserie (est. 2013) focuses on sustainable seafood & ambitious sophisticated cooking where all breads, jams, sauces and desserts are made in house.

Sit on the butcher block bar and enjoy a glass of wine after work, a bar snack, or a full menu during dinner hours. The exposed brick lounge offers a cozy nook for quiet conversation. Further inside the Brasserie is an open kitchen where one can sit at the counter and enjoy the inner workings of the Brasserie culinary operation. Our lively upstairs patio seats 50 and is open during the sunny summer months for cocktails & cuisine.

We welcome you for Brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30- 2:30 with a snack menu between 2:30-4pm and we are open 7 days a week, 4pm to close.

    Agricola Street Brasserie can accommodate up to 25 guests for private dining in the mezzanine overlooking the open kitchen. Perfect for a private dinner party, a christmas event or a dinner lecture, it’s tucked away enough to be private but open enough to still feel a part of the dining activity. For larger events we are able to reserve the entire dining room, mezzanine and patio!

    Great restaurant. Very nice inside, music was at the perfect level and service was fantastic. Drinks were great my cocktail was so good my wife took it. Good read well and looked good just lacked seasoning. It all could have used with a little salt.

    I can't imagine anyone being disappointed chosing this place. Check out menus and prices online, food and service are perfection! If you go early week there is even a price fixed menu. Very reasonable! Great ambiance and was lovely to see young families there early in the evening... Didn't find it noisy at all!!

    I indicated the reservation was for a birthday and nobody at the restaurant acknowledged it. We both ordered steak frites and the steak and sauce were cold. The French onion soup and dessert were both good. The ambiance was nice and the waitress was friendly. The fixed price menu during the week is a nice feature.

    Lovely spot for drinks, our food was nothing spectacular. The duck dish one of us had was very fatty on the inside and far too hard on the outside. It was inedible to be honest with you. It was served without a proper sharp knife and I had to share my steak knife with our friend so they could attempt to get some meat off the bones. Our table ordered a bottle of wine and for some reason the waiter only poured for two people at our table, which was just a bit odd and quite frankly really poor service. I will say that the warm olives were excellent, the best we've had in quite some time. The drinks were also quite good. I would go back and sit at the bar itself and enjoy some small plates and cocktails, not sure if I would return for dinner due to the service.

    We were very pleased with our recent dinner at the Agricola Street brasserie. The service was impeccable and almost all the food was delicious especially the caramelized onion tart appetizer and the lamb shank. My only quibble is that the burger, while it offered a lot of flavor, was a little too salty for my taste. The fries were exceptional. We will definitely be back

    Our waitresses were fantastic! One helped us select the pasta dish (not to be missed) and the other helped us pick the cheesecake (also not to be missed). So lovely and all the food was so delicious.

    We had a great dinner with friends. Our server was engaging, made awesome recommendations and took care of us. The atmosphere was great. A little more light at the table would help, did not take away from night. Prices were up, expected. An excellent experience. 👏

    I have seen this restaurant for years, but had not dined there for about 10 years. I had a light supper there last night and the food was excellent. They have an interesting menu, at a range of price points. My friend, and I shared a charcuterie plate and a market salad and a dessert plate of small bites. We loved it. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly . He made a couple of recommendations, which were excellent. I will definitely dine there again.

    Would’ve given the food a better rating.L but had a few issues with our food. Our server was amazing so can’t take anything from them and the rest of our food was delicious it wa just to bad this happened and brought down the whole dinner.

    We would like to compliment, our server from last night, Shannon and the support staff helping her for an excellent job last night. Great service can be a bit of an art. She gets it.
