Our bread is baked in a wood fired oven from our own stone milled red fife wheat.
We choose local farms and use only sustainable fisheries.

This place is a must stop! The home made ginger beer was incredible! The food to was very delicious. We come from the Okanagan and always have Agrius and coffee shop on our list of places that must be experienced.

The wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable in the different menu items. We loved the small plate and dessert but weren’t as impressed with the main courses.

Our server, Marie Anne, was extremely attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.
My hash was saltier than I would have liked it.
We saw no reason to remove all unused flatware between courses, as it would add to your washing costs and handling.
We will return.

Really good. Bench seats are a little high and uncomfortable. Really really loud.... people next to us. 80 decimals. Almost said something. Food was very well done and service was excellent. Coffee drinks were delicious.

Celeriac with leek and squash salads were very good, but main dishes can be improved.

Pasta was too plain and just with 3 tiny peaces of broccoli's. Duck breast was tasteless.

The dessert was far too creamy and over sweet.

Friend and I dined at Agrius on January 25th, during the Dine Out event in town. We both chose the $40 dollar three course option which had plenty of options for both appetizer and entree. Both dessert options were wonderful. We loved our beet salads and our pork tenderloin with rutabaga, sauerkraut on top of an apple gravy. Meat very tender.
This was second time at Agrius and I will be going back.
Only complaint I have is the noise level. Sound bounces all over the dining area. Sadly, as in so many fine restaurants the music choices are not only inappropriate for dining but are played too loud.

I went to Agrius with three friends to sample their Dine Around menu. It was fantastic. For our first course, two of us had the small charcuterie plate and it was very generous and very delicious, including pork rillette, bresaola, a salami, some kind of cured pork (forget the specifics), served with pickles and grainy mustard. The other two had the cured tuna and the salt-baked celeriac and both gave rave reviews. For our mains, three of us went with the duck breast with parsnip two ways and wilted greens, which was divine. The parsnip puree, duck, and jus combined for a perfect bite. The fourth in our group had the seared ling cod with mushrooms and mussels and he could not say enough about how good it was. And last but not least, all four of us chose the chocolate and caramel for dessert and it was scrumptious. The caramel, in particular, was perfection. All of this amazing food was complemented by impeccable service, great wine pairings, and a lovely ambiance. Thank you, Agrius - we will be back!

Tried this restaurant for the first time. It exceeded our expectations. Great diverse menu, food was fantastic and service was great. Neat physical plan. Will go again for sure.

Agrius is probably the best restaurant in Victoria. Have been there several times for dinner and brunch. First time for lunch. Food was up to the usual excellent quality and value for money was actually quite good. I paid $14 for a generous vegetarian sandwich on their amazing home-made bread, accompanied by a heart home-made soup. Picked out a treat from their adjacent bakery along with an excellent cappucino afterwards. Service was pleasant and attentive.

The only drawback was that it was very cold and we were seated by the windows -- but this was on an extremely rare snow day in Victoria.

Honestly, I don't think you can ever go wrong with Agrius so long as they continue to hold their high standards. It's pretty much where I recommend out-of-towners go.

Brunch at Agrius was fantastic. Food was delicious - I had the Salami Benedict and it was amazing - and service was impeccable. They also have the best breakfast potatoes and homemade ketchup in town. Others in my party were equally impressed with their meals. We also had one no dairy/no gluten person with us and their needs were easily and happily accommodated. Thanks, Agrius!

always innovative, always new offerings, always local ...we have been attending Agrius since its opening, and it has always presented great food, extraordinary flavours, refreshing new combinations....always new and in some ways challenging, in that it challenges you to try new offerings combinations...like tonight: pigs head spaghetti!?....it was amazing!...as was a different way of preparing the fried cauliflower..but next week or next month these will likely not be on the menu, and will be replaced with something new...This also applies to the wine and cocktails...always something new...and the service....every time the service team is engaged, knowledgeable about every item on the menu and never hesitant to recommend wine pairings...

This is an experimental art gallery for food. Very high quality ingredients are combined in new and interesting ways to create some very interesting, slightly larger than tapa sized, dishes. We ordered two plates each plus appetizers and desert. Each was delicious. Nothing was exactly what we expected but each was a visual and sensory treat. Top notch ingredients cooked and combined very well by chefs who obviously know their craft. Still, there were small misses. A wonderful salad of duck prociutto suffered from slightly overdressed greens. An imaginative desert of deconstructed pumpkin pie would have benefited from a different biscuit. To be clear: these were wonderful dishes. But if you are going to aim for the very highest rung, you have to be perfect. And to my taste, they were great, worth the experience and the money, but not perfect.

Amazing chefs prepare wonderful food yet again - we pigged out on most of the menu with friends who had their first time visit and were suitably impressed! One of my favourites was surprisingly the sunchokes (because I had never heard of them!) - absolutely delicious .... and the octopus to start was also a top winner. Divine - thanks!

I have been for lunch and dinner now. Both times I have had attentive and friendly service matched by excellent food! My only suggestion would be that they use bathroom signs that are non-binary as the set up is inclusive.

Agrius is the best! We go there every time we are in Victoria. The sunchoke dish this time was absolutely amazing. The spreadable salami divine. I usually have something unique and startling every time I eat at Agrius. Some of the best dishes I have ever eaten. This place is a gem! Judith Williams

The service was very friendly, efficient and non- intrusive. The menu was lunch was really good and offered a good range of options for most diets. It was not overly noisy so we could have a conversation. Our waitress was both knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend Agrius as a great place for a business or casual lunch

Agrius never disappoints -- Their great food is firmly based on seasonal and local ingredients, including house-made preserves and ferments, producing creative sharing plates and mains. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Agrius also has a really interesting and adventurous wine list that includes many surprises. The focus on small producers of top-quality wines, especially from British Columbia, is really appreciated.

If you like your server having to explain how to order from the menu at Agrius and that the organic wine you’ve ordered which tastes like vinegar is ‘organic’ then this restaurant is for you. If you like a menu consisting of minuscule appetizers at $5 each and slightly larger appetizers at $14-$18 each then this restaurant is for you. We were not impressed.
