   Just want to start off with saying the service was lovely and we were very comfortable, however I couldn’t help but feel underwhelmed by the food, especially at the price. We ordered the wagyu tacos as a starter, which frankly did not taste like wagyu, just regular beef mince with bulgogi sauce (maybe it was overcooked) - I was expecting it the meat to melt in my mouth which it didn’t, so paired with the crunchy taco it just felt dry. Also quite small but that’s not that surprising. We also ordered the mystery box ($130), and overall we weren’t blown away by any of them. We also weren’t told if there was a specific order to eat them in, I wish we did because some of the sauces / flavours were way more overpowering than others so it felt unbalanced because we (maybe?) ate them in the wrong order. Some sauces also overpowered the main ingredients too. For $130 I would’ve hoped to enjoy it more ;-; The salmon aburi and tempura roll was good, not blown away either but still good. I will say the scallop was delicious and so were the complementary desserts, the service was really amazing, we just felt underwhelmed by our mains / what we were most looking forward to.

   All the food we tried, including their signature tuna/mushroom “pizza” and the bulgogi tacos, was absolutely incredible. We trusted our server to recommend some options, and weren’t dissatisfied with a single thing. Service was also top notch from both our server and all support staff, we will definitely be returning!

   I don't typically write reviews, but I had to just share my experience for my bday was exceptional. Every dish was made with so much care and thought and the taste was EXCEPTIONAL. Ou drinks were so great too, my fiancee naming one of them, the best cocktail he has ever had. 100/10 all around!

   Thanks to Gloria we had an amazing dinner gathering and celebrated one of our friend’s belated birthday. All of the recommended dishes by Gloria were amazing and realized what differentiates Akira Back from other bar/restaurant. You can taste and experience this much of quality food and service only at Akira Back and nowhere else. Love the visit and will definitely be coming back for the food, vibe and amazing Gloria!!

   Honestly, I had the best experience ever. Let me start up by the people who work there my waiter was sherry Please make sure you ask for her. She was the best well respected took her time. I felt like I got to know her within a few hours. I was there show me what’s good on the menu showed me what to try. But let me move on the food amazing. It’s literally melting in your mouth while I’m typing this. I think I need to go back the drink drinks amazing. Chef kiss I hope this restaurant succeeds because there’s really not a lot of restaurants to our dedicated. Who treat you with respect. Oh and I can’t forget one thing the bathroom clean it doesn’t even smell like a bathroom.

   Highly recommended. Excellent food. I recommend the tacos, the rock shrimp and the cigar for dessert but hard to pick to be honest. Worth going
