The Name ALBA is derived from Kiran’s name, which in Sanskrit (किरण) means "A ray of sun". ALBA means SUNRISE in Italian. The first thing you see in the sky is a Ray of Sun, which creates a SUNRISE. That is how the couple decided to call their first restaurant as “ALBA”.

Very attentive servers. Great selection in the menu. Patio has great view of the mountains. We ordered the carbonara (could use more flavour), oxtail papardelle (the most delicious one) and spaghetti for our little girl (delicious too). Menu could use some cocktail options

ALBA is a favourite restaurant while visiting Jasper. Great food with friendly efficient service. Enjoyed the calamari, Jasper carbonara and duck pappardelle. Definitely worth a stop for wonderful Italian food and great service.

The food, service and cleanliness were outstanding. The only suggestion we provide, for consideration, is an option for marinara sauce or creamy tomato sauce - the seafood spaghetti and gnocchi were served in the same creamy tomato sauce.

The large serving of crispy calamari was served with a spicy lemony sauce, which we did not like. We asked for another dipping sauce possibly a tzatziki or ranch like sauce, but the second sauce served was a plum sauce, which doesn’t really go with calamari, in my opinion.

Presentation of appetizers and mains very well done. Go hungry as servings of pasta dishes, steak and desserts where more than ample…and delicious. I had asked for a birthday candle and was surprised and delighted at the unique presentation. Very good value and a definite “go again”.

Alba stands for a little (a lot)below average. Meatball appetizer was Luke warm. Carpaccio was okay. Both main courses(papperdelle with duck confit and salmon were barely warm—we sent it back to be warmed up). Salmon did not seem fresh. I would not recommend to eat here.

This was definitely a nice surprise. We tried them out the first time and the food was really good and the service also didn’t leave anything to be desired. Definitely our new go to Italian food restaurant in Jasper.

The menu board outside states "the best contemporary-Italian restaurant in Jasper". That may be true if it's the "only" one. Otherwise, it was so NOT. The ambience doesn't say Italian; the service doesn't convey Italian style. There WAS Italian background music of some sort. The menu DOES, but the food out of the kitchen had little eye appeal and/or taste. The restaurant itself is located upstairs with both outside and inside dining areas. Our server was not very well versed with the menu questions we had, but did his best. Our appetizer was the "half arancini. It was nicely displayed with decent size portions on a white platter w/ sauce in a sauce boat. But, the sauce was pretty non descript. My wife ordered the Arugula Proscuitio Salad w/ chicken strips. It was mostly greens but again nothing special other than a large portion. She also had a side of mixed vegetables that were ok. I had the Mushroom Ravioli. It was literally smothered in a white sauce that looked and tasted quite bland. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised with a dessert "Happy Anniversary" platter of mixed fruit. We didn't expect that.

This was our second visit to the ALBA and we had an fantastic evening. Everything about ALBA is excellent, the food, staff and the atmosphere making it a great place to relax and enjoy an evening meal.

We had a great family dinner at Alba restaurant. The pasta’s where amazing, but the best part of our nigh was our waiter Romel. What a nice guy and we had such a laugh with him. Thanks again Romel!!

Our duck was overcooked and we were told medium was best although I wanted medium rare and can't stand duck with no pink. Vegetables were boiled and bland. Flavours clashed and were not harmonious. Taste like it was cooked by a line cook and not a chef. Service was good, at least our server was attentive.

Service was great! We had the calamari appetizer which was superb and a very generous portion. Entrées we’re carbonara & seafood pasta - both piping hot and again generous portions. While lacking in ambiance and a limited bar selection, the wine list was varied and the prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend Alba!

Utterly disappointing. Food bland and tasteless - they did offer to replace meal which we accepted but replacement meals were no better. Don’t recommend this place. Understand the chef may have changed recently!
