When ever I drive up to DC to little Italy, I always go here now. Great food, impeccable service, in a really nice setting. You can’t go wrong. Do expect to pay for what you’re getting.
What a delightful surprise. I went to Baltimore for business and found a gem. Aldo's gets all the classics right, from authentic Italian to old-school Italian American. Service was excellent and I particularly enjoyed the risotto....very authentic. I'd recommend Aldo's to anyone. Grazie!
As always Aldo’s is an all round excellent experience. The noise level was a little elevated the night we were there but that unusual for Aldo’s and it wasn’t a big deal at all. Everybody was have a good time including us.
I do what to note that Roman (our waiter who also happened to be the one who greeted us when we arrived) was excellent in every way.
We will be back soo .
superb dining experience, as always, at aldos; highly rec.
Risotto was very unathentically creamy. Way way to creamy/buttery
Excellent Italian restaurant. Impeccable service. Elegant decor. Charming ambiance. Great value.
Satisfactory/Good service, food, ambiance and noise level.
The first visit for our family was amazing. We loved all our good choices . Everything was perfect.
Pasta especially ! We look forward to many more meals here
My friend loved it! I am biased because it’s my family but my friend wants to go again. We stayed for 3 hours chatting and were not rushed or bothered at all
Great experience for the moment we entered until we departed. Bartender did a great job recommending pre dinner cocktails. Staff was vey attentive & help full. Eugene did a fantastic job with recommendations & suggestions. No need for a menu. Highly recommend for a great dinning experience.
Fantastic, authentic Italian. I am still day dreaming about my eggplant parm appetizer and wild board ragu papardelle. We had the same waiter as last time, a very attentive, proper waiter who went out of his way to ensure we had the best dining experience.
Great reception and stervice staff. Really enjoyed our waiter, Eugene.
Great food, especially the amazing specials! Terrific service, and an inviting, dignified ambience make every visit to Aldo’s feel like a special event.
The restaurant was lovely but very overpriced for the service and meal
Overall it was a great experience. However, we were not informed when we made the reservation that there was a limited Valentine;s weekend menu. We had looked online at the menu in advance and were disappointed that certain items were not available.
Travel/Delayed valentines celebration
The food was excellent. The service was a bit pushy, though: the waiter asked my guest if she needed her meal boxed and was taking it away before she even had a chance to answer. We hadn't been there for long and it wasn't particularly busy. But, again, the food is amazing!
Will be back!
Aldo’s is a pretentious, haughty place that serves decent, but not exceptional, food at very high prices by Baltimore standards. When attempting to order appetizers only, before ordering entrees, the waiter informed us that both needed to be ordered simultaneously; sequential ordering was not permissible. No specials were on the menu that Saturday evening, and even regular menu items listed on Open Table (such as veal saltimbocca) were not available. Apparently, the prior Thursday’s Valentines Day seatings had overwhelmed the kitchen. Although a veal dish was available on Saturday night, the waiter advised that the kitchen would not be able to meet a diner’s request for veal saltimbocca as the waiter explained that it would require too much preparation. Our experience is that other Little Italy restaurants have no such problem in meeting that special request. Dessert was adequate but again, not extraordinary. After dessert, the waiter did offer a complimentary limoncello that was tasty, but he was otherwise unhelpful. I have taken business clients to Aldo’s on prior occasions, and enjoyed it, but this experience left a very sour after taste. Perhaps Aldo’s has become complacent and are resting on a seemingly obsolete favorable reputation.
Food was good.
Expensive as expected.
Not worth that much but its what it is.
Asked for the check and didn't get one until i asked again after 25 minutes.
My water was low.
No food was in my plate but no one came.
20% tip added to my check automatically some how.
I ordered a pasta with vodka tomato sauce but i got broccoli basil pasta.
I was good but that's not what i wanted.
Omg my second visit and it was everything that that the first visit was! Extraordinary! Another great dining experience where u felt like I was at the top of the line when it comes to Italian cuisine. I will most definitely be back again sometime this year.
Subpar food and average service. I was very disappointed with the food; I had the lobster fettuccine and crab cakes. The bartender did a decent job making our drinks. Nothing was superb about the visit. I will not be returning.
Food was just incredibly good.
It took 30 minutes (with reservation and being on time) to sit us down at a table and the waiter automatically added a 20% tip on our bill. (I always tip 20% anyway). Are little details like those what will make us chose a different high end italian restaurant next time.
The cocktail menu severely lacks but food was prepared correctly and delivered warm and timely. Stop putting chocolate syrup under your tiramisu, it takes away from the dessert itself.
It was a birthday and the server didn’t acknowledge the matter at all
The Lobster Risotto is fantastic, try the house-made limoncello.
The service was great at the beginning of the meal, but as the restaurant became more crowded it definitely went downhill. We were pretty much ignored by the end of a VERY expensive meal, and it was not a pleasant experience. The food and drinks are a bit overpriced, but it was very good. Would not recommend bringing a family there, because the service and the value are not good especially compared to the other restaurant choices in the area.
Cold staff, wine list a stapled printout, server had little knowledge of menu and none regarding wine. Took a wine order for a bottle they were out of, no acknowledgement of special occasion that was on reservation. All items were swimming in sauce...far from fine dining.
We had a lovely dinner! The staff was very pleasant and attentive...the food equally delicious!
As per usual the food and service @Aldo's was exemplary. It is certainly my favorite place to dine on Italian cuisine and there's such a variety to choose from. One of my favorite seating spots is the bar, which is beautifully kept and just the right area for a small gathering.
Great venue and great food! Did the restaurant week menu and loved our appetizers and dessert but both of us did not like the entree. My boyfriend got the steak and was not impressed and I got the fish and thought the dish was overly salty. Everything else was perfect though!
Wonderful. You must try the caprese salad. The fresh mozzarella is fantastic.
Aldo's never disappoints! The veal chop has been so good every time we try it. The creamy asparagus soup was delicious! The wait staff is very attentive.
Despite being on the expensive side, the quality and portion size of the entrees made up for it. We did not go away hungry! Initially, we had to be moved from our table, because the neighboring diners were so loud. Our waiter was friendly and made helpful suggestions from the menu. The linguine with clam sauce was the best item that we ordered, but the beet salad and carbonara pasta were also delicious. We didn't have room for dessert, so I can't comment on that. We enjoyed a pricey, but refreshing bottle of Pinot Grigio, which was the featured wine that evening. Overall, the dining experience was pleasant, and we will return.
Aldo's consistently delivers great Italian food in a very creative way. The service is impeccable and the ambiance is comfortable and elegant. It's the best restaurant in Little Italy!
What a wonderful experience at Aldo's last weekend. My husband and I enjoyed every moment, all of the food and details of the evening. Our waiter, Victor, took excellent care of us, was kind and such a happy person to interact with. The food was incredible. It was fresh, simple yet refined and delicious. We greatly enjoyed all of our time at Aldo's and have already recommended it to many people. As the meal progressed my husband and I would say to one another "this is the best thing we have eaten" and then the next dish would amaze us just as much. The olives and bread were such a wonderful way to start off. The pasta was fresh along with the seafood. Everything was incredible. Oh, and get an espresso, it will be one of the finest you have ever had.
Thank you Aldo's we will be back again!
We love Aldo's . Have always had wonderful, attentive, engaging wait staff. Food is fabulous and the Tiramisu is the best you will ever have. (I have tried many) Love going with friends and family to share
the experience, and we love the wine cellar for more private get togethers.
My group and I had a great time it was something new for my group. The service was very great.
I chose Aldos for a family celebration. We were immediately taken to a private dining room for the 10 of us (no waiting.) As my 7-year-old grandson said: “Oh wow, oh wow”. The room was beautiful with flowers and a banquet table with Queen Ann style furniture as in a fine dining room. A gift table provided and extra chairs. The food and service did not disappoint. They provided good crusty bread with oil and a variety of olives. We had selections from the main dinner menu and restaurant week menu. The pasta broccoli with sausage in oil was excellent, wild boar pasta needed a more robust flavor, ossobuco was very tasty, veal saltimbocca an excellent choice, beef prepared for restaurant week chosen by 4 people is highly recommended by all and the children enjoyed their legendary (as they called it) lobster pasta, was very good. All the deserts were yummy. Wines were pricey but expected and very good. The staff took very good care of us. The only small complaint was the coffee at the end was lukewarm but we had a large party and we were brought out more coffee. I highly recommend coming here. We will be sure to return for dinner. On a side note, the bar in the front looks very nice and romantic too. Beautiful and romantic restaurant in the heart of Little Italy and in the historic part of Baltimore convenient to the harbor.
Was little disappointed, fish was just ok, have been there before and it was much better...
