   I really enjoyed it here! The food was really good! Our server was awesome and the ambiance was good. It wasn’t busy at all for a Sunday evening. I am definitely gonna make a return trip!

   Staff are great, drinks menu is wonderful, food was not as great as described..overly cheese which covers any flavor, nachos were mediocre, burger was ok, but the Mac and cheese "bun" was dry and overdone.

   Reservation was honored quickly, food was great had the Mac n Cheese and the Drunken Chicken Philly. Our server Amy was amazing and funny. The restaurant changes their beer on tap frequently, but I described one I really liked and Amy found one extremely close to it. Definitely returning

    I confirmed my reservation days before going, and when we arrived our party was turned away by an incredibly rude hostess. We had the reservation secured months before, but we were told they wouldn’t seat a party of six outside. I asked if they could split us up and do 4 at one table and 2 at another, but they still refused. It took us an hour to find another restaurant that would seat us outside (which was necessary because of an immune compromised person in our party). Royal Oak Taphouse was a great experience after this debacle.

    Food and service were great. Our only complaint is that half way through the meal they sat a party of 6 at the table we were already at. No one mentioned to us that another party would be in our space and it was quite awkward. It made our experience less enjoyable.

    We started with the poutine fries and drinks which were both very good. We ordered fish tacos and the vegetarian tacos. What a disappointment! The fish tacos came with a giant piece of battered cod which maybe a teaspoon of pick de gallo and maybe a tiny bit of cabbage. The fish was complete soggy and flavorless . The rice that accompanied the dishes tasted like day old Chinese takeout rice…just hard and dry. Service was excellent between the apps/drinks and our main course. I did tell our server about the issue with the fish tacos and he did offer to take off bill, but I declined since I had eaten one of the 2 tacos. Just very disappointing….

    I've been to Ale Mary's several times before the food and service is consistently good which is why I typically suggest it for late dinner or brunch. However, my last visit was unnerving. The manager was constantly watching our table, she asked our server and the hostesses how many drinks we were served and followed us next door to Tom's oyster bar where we went for Spanish coffee. For the record we had 2 drinks. What we do have is loud boisterous laughs. Initially when I heard her ask about our drinks i asked the patrons next to us if we were disturbing them, they said no, they were laughing at our conversation as well. I am often the only black person in a restaurant, normally it doesn't bother me unless I'm treated differently than others. This experience ruined our evening, I would suggest the manager receive unconscious bias training.

    Amy our server was a pleasure & attentive for being busy. The host/door greeter was really nice as well. We really liked the igloo because it was quiet and we people watched for st. Patties day celebrations. Great food! Love how they have a whole vegan menu I got 2 shakes, the dill pickle soup, nashville chkn sandwich & chili cheese fries. Boyfriend got the chkn sliders & fried pickles! The chkn sandwiches were so good and juicy And NOT dry thankfully!!

    We were a few minutes early for our 6:30pm reservation and were seated immediately when we walked in, which was impressive. Our server was excellent. We enjoyed a drink and then placed our order for buffalo cauliflower and fried pickles as well as for our dinners. The appetizers were AMAZINGLY GOOD. The food came at the perfect time, allowing us time to enjoy our appetizers first. I ordered the beer cheese burger medium. It arrived medium well to well done, which was slightly disappointing, but the burger was still delicious. The fries were hot and crispy. My husband was underwhelmed by his Cuban, though I can't state specifics. Our friends ordered the chicken sliders, which were okay, and the carne asada tacos, which were excellent. Our friends ordered the cheesecake, which was AMAZING--I tried a bite--and I ordered the beeramisu, which was just meh. If there was marscapone in there, I didn't taste it. It was basically a fancy glass filled with a thick cream and lady fingers. I didn't get the taste of the beer at all. I wish I had ordered the cheesecake instead. Overall, I'd give it 4.5 stars. The ambiance is fantastic, although it gets a little loud and you have to use really loud voices to hear the other people at your table. However, it is a beer hall after all. This is to be expected.

    Specifically sought out for the vast vegan options— not vegan but have eliminated all dairy products. Made a reservation and arrived on time but we did have to wait a bit for our table. No issue as we could easily sit at the bar. It took me quite some time to decide on food because everything on the vegan menu sounded delicious and was something I could eat. There were even vegan specials. I was able to order a vegan cheese burger but sub a regular beef patty as I do still eat meat. The food was amazing and I had a great time. I was able to go out and pick from such a variety, knowing I could eat out safely. I will absolutely be back to try some other menu items! Thank you for making dietary restrictions so easy.

    It is a beer hall, I understand that at times the environment is energetic and full. I have been to Ale Mary’s and was excited to take my friend before a show at the Comedy Castle. Sadly the restaurant was PACKED & our meal became quickly tainted when a group of women were seated at a table next to us. This had NOTHING to do with the women personally. I’m sure they were delightful; rather the space Ale Mary’s allotted for people to get to the booth. These women were curvier and had to SQUEEZE in between tables to get to the booth along the wall facing the bar. It’s borderline ablest on the side of Ale Mary’s to have such small gaps to get to the booth. Germany would never allow for such a seating arrangement and the travesty that happened to our drinks unfold. Instead of taking a min to ask us to move our food and drinks so the ladies could enter, the hostess shoved them through with their menus. Sadly two of the women’s waist length Braids bobbed though both of our drinks as they passed by. Two full freshly poured beverages spoiled and the hostess walked off. The women and the hostess may have been oblivious to the hair in our drinks (we were physically bumped as well) but they were chatting and having fun. Understandable. Mistakes happen, we are human. After the shock wore off, we could’t get anyone’s attention to get fresh drinks. Had our server asked about our untouched drinks when she gave us the bill, it would have been impossible to discreetly tell her about the braids without embarrassing the women seated next to us. The restaurant was so loud I could barely hear my friend across the table, I was technically closer to woman #2. I was prepared for noise, a crowd, not the surprise hair attack. I will miss the place, but if the restaurant is packed so full people can’t keep their body parts off my table and out of my food, it’s not a hygienic place to eat nor worth spending the money on wasted beverages and uneaten food.

    Amazing place to eat and drink. Amy was our server. Her witty banter and fast service was a huge bonus. The food was exceptional. We were also very impressed by the beer and drink menus. Quite the selection. This is now a staple in our dinner outings.

    Deep fry and dank. The Brussel sprouts were nothing more than deep fry with plenty of extra oil on the plate, sprinkled with pine nuts and forgotten salt. ChickUN n' waffles was much the same but with maple syrup. Creamy tomato pasta with raw asparagus and more deep-fried Brussels. Very nice table cloth, server and hostess. We may have to reside ourselves to possible fact that this is as good as it will get for a long while yet.

    Wait staff was super and the beer list was great! Food was not great. Didn’t seem fresh. Heated up in microwave? Chicken Corn Chowder was too thick, not soup at all. Reuben egg rolls were poor. Cuban sandwich was okay. And, the food was WAY too expensive!

    We were in an igloo so it was very quiet ( I wish we could hear the Christmas music a little better). Food and staff was amazing! Staff checked on us frequently but not an overwhelming amount of times. Definitely plan on going back. More expensive than expected, but food and drinks were delicious!!

    We come here all the time and love it. Today we went to their Christmas pop up for Christmas Eve date. Decorations and music were super festive. Holiday special drinks and food we great! Our waiter Adam was super nice and attentive. Had a great date!

    We had a reservation for 7:30, which we had made several weeks in advance. Unfortunately, the people sitting at “our” table wouldn’t leave - they had paid but were just sitting with water glasses. We were offered at seat at the communal table at 7:45, but that wasn’t really the vibe we were going for. Finally, at 7:55, we were offered a seat at Tom’s Oyster Bar next door. It was ok and allowed us to at least eat, but not the vibe we were going for. The hostess didn’t seem to know what else to do and I don’t blame her - she was young and trying. But it’s a shame management didn’t step in to move that other table. I should note that once we get seated, the first wine and cocktail I ordered were unavailable. And, the whiskey my husband ordered was also unavailable. Food was fine and our server was nice but I won’t be back.

    Horrible hospitality only two servers working that night they were working the inside & outdoor dining plus door just running around all over it was so uncomfortable & unpleasant I would never go back that was an extra hard no after they disrespected Al & Mary then me whew!
