Service was excellent and the party I was with all agreed that the bread was awesome. Appetizers were just ok . Fried calamari was mushy, tasteless and not crispy at all. The entrees were pretty good and desserts were great. I think a few things such as candles on tables etc. could help ambiance. I most likely will not return. Not worth an hour drive for sure.

Hostess staff and overall ambiance of this restaurant could stand an upgrade given the hype and the menu prices. Host was squirrelly and unkept. Lighting is too bright. No candlelight on tables, harsh lighting and no music contribute to the lack of ambiance and explain why the customers on a Saturday evening are primarily senior citizens. That said, the crab avocado stack was very delicious. We were not impressed by the presentation or the taste of the chicken marsala or the chicken parmigiana. The fresh green beans were good. The highlight of the meal was the excellent dessert selection. The Death by Chocolate Cake and the Chocolate Cheesecake Bar were huge and absolutely fabulous!!!! With a few adjustments, this restaurant could be excellent.

What an amazing jewel of a fabulous restaurant. We enjoyed valentines day dinner and will plan to be back soon. Noise level, even for a busy night, was still quiet and pleasant. Great food with generous portions of everything.

I made reservations several weeks before Valentines day and unfortunately we had to sit outside..little chilly and had to wear jackets. However, when we were served my lobster ravioli was cold as was my husbands fish. We were with another couple so we didn't say anything as it would have delayed our meal with our friends. We've eaten at Alpine many times in the past and have never had a bad meal. The reason for this comment is because I wish restaurants would not take in more reservations than they can handle...it ruins valentines for those of us who made our reservations in advance.

When we reserved our table we told them it was an Anniversary! Once at the restaurant nothing was said or done about the Anniversary. Very disappointing!

The food was absolutely incredible. As the name implies, they do have a full bakery so the dessert was just as much of the meal as the entree was. Our food arrived surprisingly fast, was prepared properly, and was delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive (thanks Jared). I only found this place because of OpenTable but so glad we did. We'll be back.

Visited here as a date night dinner out recently and was excited thinking this would be delicious, authentic Italian food. It was mediocre at best and the main dishes were pretty bland. You can tell they care about presentation & quality but the taste was lacking big time. The server said the calamari was crispy so we ordered it, but it was over salted and soggy. Server asked if we'd like bread, but we never received it. Our entrees were bland, as it seems they only season with salt and pepper....its Italian where's the basil or oregano or thyme??? Long story short, my husband ended up having intestinal issues from dinner (he had the scallops) so we wont be returning for lunch or dinner here. Disappointed because I had high hopes for this place since the desserts are so delicious but for the price, it's just not worth it and then to get sick from it. No thanks.

We made a reservation last minute to celebrate my Mom's birthday from out of town. I loved the ambiance and the relaxed feel of Alpine. It was very homey and, yet, elegant at the same time. I loved that the bakery was connected to the restaurant inside, as it allowed us to see all the wonderful items they had before sitting down to our meal. It was also an added bonus that we could order anything from the bakery at our table and have it brought to us. The service was wonderful, our server was incredibly attentive and answered every question we had. The only meal that wasn't necessarily the most enjoyable was my husband's spaghetti. The meatball didn't have much flavor, and the sauce wasn't the best. Other than that, everything else was wonderful!

Greeting and seating was professional and caring. Our server, Amanda, was available in a timely manner . She took our orders and provided same in a timely manner.
Our beet salads were adequate and perfect in temperature. Our entries, Ravioli and a modified Salmon dish were large, tasteful, and hot when served. Overall, our dining
experience was far above satisfactory. There are many more good items on the menu and substitutions are allowed. Recommend a visit.

The first thing we noticed when we walked in the front door was the overpowering odor of bleach and very, very strong cheese...I had been talking Alpine up to my very special date, about how great the food and bakery would impress her...as it turned out, only the server and the wine were up to par.

Enjoyed our meal overall. Salad was on the small side for $9. Long periods of time before waitress would check on us considering wasn't very busy.

Professional service and good food. Try the Chicken Francese. Well worth a visit. The bread arrives whole but they will slice -- if asked.

I ordered the caprese salad. Saw it at the next table and that patron had yellow tomatoes. When mine came they were red. ( waiter said they were heirloom ) Do not think they were. They were not close to ripe , and they were flavorless. ( for $16.95 ) Friend had the reuben sandwich and they were satisfied.

Our greeting and seating was IAW with our OT reservation and professional. Our meal was simple pasta, Tomato Basil soup, and Italian rice balls. All were served hot and in a timely manner. All were/are worthy of a repeat visit. Our server, Patrice, was properly attentive and added to our pleasant dinner date. Well worth a visit.
