   We chose Alvins to meet up with friends we hadn't seen in quite awhile. The ambience was great. The live music didn't inhibit dinner conversation. Very creative menu made deciding very difficult, but we couldn't pass up the 3 course dinner with wine pairing. What a deal! We will have to come back soon for our other choices. And we will! The pasta with lobster was a big hit. My tenderloin was perfect.

   I gave it a three star out of five. The food was really nothing to brag about and overpriced for what you got. Same goes for the drinks. But you don't pay cover charge and you do get a different ambience and live band so I guess that could make up for it.

   First time there and it didn't disappoint. We had great seats for 2. Some seating are further and you don't get to see the band but we were fortunate to be seated in front. Great music and great food. Slightly loud so I probably wouldn't recommend as a first date but still a great date spot!

    The Mother’s Day branch was amazing. Steaks and eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared and served. This our first time and was definitely not last one. Thank you for providing excellent service.

    Rey and Simon took such good care of us. they were rockstars start to finish. the food was amazing. 10/10. the live music was the big highlight for me with professional muscians that you can tell love what they do. going to be going once a month from now on.

    Finally Calgary has an upscale dinner club. This place was so wonderful. The food was unbelievable and the music by Rondal couldn't be better...we had such an amazing evening.

    A great place for a date or to entertain. The music is fabulous and helps to create a classy and intimate atmosphere. The food is wonderful! You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes. The staff are truly professional from the floor to kitchen to bar.

    First time visit. Right from the coat check in at the beginning through to the end was amazing. 4 of us had the 3 course meal and the food was awesome. Cocktails were awesome as well albeit a little pricey. Entertainment Barry Shaw and band were terrific and the song selections just couldn’t be any better. Only down side is very little room to have a dance or two if that’s what you like to see in a retro look jazz club. Hope to be back sometime.

    We just had appetizers as we were at Alvin's to listen to the music. Ambience is fantastic and the service is outstanding. Food and drinks are pricey, but what we ordered was very tasty and well presented. We had a lovely evening.

    Alvin’s is a great place to enjoy fine dining and a great meal. We really enjoyed ourselves and will come back often. The only reason that I did not give this establishment a top rating was because when we arrived for our reservation at 6 pm, they stated we must be finished by 9 pm and leave our table. In my view we are not attending a concert…we are there for the fine food/drinks and an evening of entertainment. They do charge a surcharge for the entertainment which I do support. I would suggest that they change this policy.
