Amada is a new tapas and wine bar on the southside of downtown Chattanooga. "Amada" is a female name of Spanish origin meaning beloved/loveable woman. We serve traditional Spanish plates that honor the seasonal, local ingredients of the area while celebrating southern simplicity and hospitality.
Our Mission: Do right and exceed expectations.

    Our server was amazing!!! The food choices were not to the same level as other Tapas restaurants we have visited in larger cities but overall we really enjoyed our meal. The menu is heavy on the seafood side so if you are not a seafood eater, it's not going to be a good option (vegetarian, meat balls, lamb chops and carpaccio were the non-seafood items). Very pricey ($28 for 2 scallops) but overall we enjoyed our time.

    This was a fantastic dinner with excellent service. Our party of 4 shared a pitcher of sangria (delicious) and 6-7 tapas items along with dessert. Everything tasted great! Looking forward to visiting again!

    For only being open a couple of months we were really pleasantly surprised at the level. Staff was friendly, food was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. Highly recommend giving it a try!

    We had a great night at Amada. The food was good, some items were great, and others were just okay. But overall, we all liked our experience. The biggest con was the watered down cocktails. No one in our group loved their drink of choice. A lot of them are served in a large glass over ice which just made them too watery. I did have a glass of wine later, which was good. I wish I had stuck to wine the whole night.

    Outstanding in every way. Imported Wine choices were excellent. Food was outstanding & nothing like you taste in restaurants in America. We just got back from Italy & Greece and was amazed at how Amada was better than what we ate all over Europe. Definitely get the Charcuterie and the Crab cakes. Taste all Kinda of foods there. Can’t go wrong.

    What a gem. We were early for dinner, and pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves. But what an enjoyable evening. Food was spectacular, with each selection expertly and beautifully prepared. Had a screw up on our wine order (really my fault) and the server made it all perfect by comping a round. They did the right thing. This establishment would do wonderfully here in Atlanta where we live. Next time we are in Chattanooga we will definitely return.

    This was our first time dining at this restaurant and it was a great experience. When we arrived, there was only one other table of four -- when they left, we were the only patrons, which was a little weird but the food and service were excellent. Our server said that the place is usually crowded but the weather may have been a factor, since the location is not close to the river. Nevertheless, the food was outstanding. We ordered a variety of dishes including: empanadas, fried eggplant, grilled octopus and seared salmon -- everything was delicious. Cocktails and wine were very good and reasonably priced. We had the budino for dessert, another winner. Overall, an excellent dining experience. Highly recommend.

    I have eaten at Amada Tapas three times. Each time has been delightful. The service is great, drink menu is fun, and restaurant décor comfortable and well-appointed. Most importantly, the food is consistently delicious with choices for any palate.

    This was the 2nd time and has become my favorite place in Chattanooga. I’m a chef myself and food is highly recommended!! Great place for date night or with friends. It was a little too noisy and couldn’t hear too well but overall experience is A++

    The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was delicious! Would definitely recommend. We had 8 different dishes and all were superb. My wife and I went for our anniversary. They gave us some champagne to celebrate as well.

    Food service was excellent but bar service was extremely slow for party of 4 with 2 drinks being glasses of wine. Other drinks were scotch and water. Shouldn’t have taken so look. Need more bartenders.

    Great atmosphere that reminds us of being in the rain forest. The service was great and timely! Overall the food was good but we did have some small critiques to make it great. The libations were also good with some interesting flavor profiles. We LOVE grilled octopus and thought it could have been grilled a little bit more to intensify the flavor. The sauce that came with need some heat and acidity. The egg plant was good (we did get this on the house due to a misorder from another table) but thought it could use some spicy to balance out the sweet new of the glaze. The steak tataki needed some acidity and/or heat. The seared salmon, carpaccio, asparagus, crab cakes and street corn were all great! For dessert we had the pear empanada which we thought was not good. It tasted of fry oil and the filling was gray and tasteless, with no pear flavor. You will need to park on the street but beware of where you park as most of its paid parking except for Sundays.

    Enjoyed the various dishes. The potatoes and meatball dishes were outstanding. The beef and salmon were small and not as notable. Servings were delivered as ready so it was fun to see what was coming next. Overall, the variety made for a good shareable treat. Will return.
