This was not a great experience. The food was great but the service was really poor. It was like we weren’t assigned a server. It’s really too bad as the food and ambience were excellent. It was 3.5 hour lunch. They didn’t have two of the wines we ordered and that added 45 minutes to our waiting for a drink. Not sure I’ll be going back to Amal

I had a great time. Food was very tasty and presented very nice. Our server timing for everything was on point. My only feedback is that can they make lamb sausages for people who don’t eat beef.

Great food. Very fresh and tasty. Would go again. Music was just a bit too loud for our group of 4 to talk without almost yelling. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic spot.

Food was excellent but service a bit spotty. One dish never came yet it was on the bill. That got corrected only after I pointed it out. Main course was delayed. And I had to request more water several times. Outside heaters went off twice and mgt. never acknowledged it.

Beautiful ambience. Excellent service. Food not as good as usual. Don’t think French fries are good accompaniment. Noticed most people didn’t eat them. Drinks good but expensive.

Lovely space. Perfect for a date night or even girls night. Very buzzy on a Friday night Server was knowledgeable and friendly but we ordered several dishes to share and they were all brought at the same time. There was not enough room on the table and some got cold. The food was tasty but did not leave me saying i would love to have that again

The service was very slow. They forgot one of our orders, and then at the end brought it and still charged us for it. Took us forever to get our order taken and then to get the bill. And it was expensive for what we got, and very very noisy.

This is my second time at AMAL on Bloor St. The sampler plate was beautiful to see and was very pleasing to the taste. The Fattoush salad was delicately dressed and had fresh tasting crunchy ingredients. I would add chicken to it for a main dish next time. The service was friendly, efficient and gracious as always. Amal is a great place for brunch/lunch. The ambience and decor is fantastic. Not the greatest lebanese food but does make the cut with great dips and platters. The cocktails are amazing as well.

Food was excellent service was poor. Not only did we have to repeatedly ask for napkins, there were a lot of flies during our meal. We asked the waiter if there was anything they could do, the waiter answered yes and never came back. When we reflected the situation the manager he sarcastically asked if we were hoping someone could stand there and wave the flies off.

Hands down the best service I have experienced so far. Staff are very attentive without being overbearing. Food was excellent and very fresh. Fatoush salad was average and passion fruit mocktail tasted a little to flowery and soap like. But overall a great experience and look forward to going back.

I had a hair in my salad, I had little pieces of some unknown object in my wine. The server did not rectify these situations. I had brought friends to dine and had chosen this establishment as I have been here before and it was amazing. I was embarrassed at this situation and was unimpressed with the servers lack of care.

Food was good but service was lacking. We waited at least 10 min after seated to be acknowledged. We asked to see a dessert menu, they forgot about us and when we finally got someone’s attention, we just asked for the bill and called it a night.

We went to Amal for brunch and it was excellent. Stunning decor, very attentive staff, and a great ambience (music, etc.). The food was excellent (we tried a variety of dishes - the three dip platter, the two flatbread platter, shakshouka, and kibbeh). For two people that was too much food but it was so delicious we didn't regret it. The food is extremely good value - I only feel that the drinks were overpriced and that it why I noted it as 4/5 on value. Would definitely come again, excited to come back for dinner as well.
